We felt like pizza and a movie and Pacifico's just happens to be conveniently located to the Scotia Theater on Burrard St. So we tried it Out I am so glad we did.
The pizzas are just the right size for one. (if no appies are ordered).
I had the Sicilian and it was awesome. The thin crust was good (I have had better thin crust  But nothing worn with this crust) The sauce was very well done and ample toppings. My partner had  the Rustic Polo and was very happy with his choice.
We found this to be a nice alternative to your average pizza joint . A little pricey
but considering this isn't your average pizza joint not bad. $45.00 before Tax & tip for 2 pizzas and sodas. The Service was great very accommodating and friendly.
Nice environment, Good food and okay prices. I recommend this place if you are looking for upscale pizza while out on a night on the town. I don't recommend this place for Kids. But hey we adults need our own places and alone time.

I made a reservation to eat here through Open Table and specified we would be 5 adults plus an infant in a stroller in the comments.
Being with an infant, we arrived at 5pm for our reservation and were told that they did not allow strollers. Apparently it's a fire hazard. We offered to sit at the back, out of the way, even to carry the stroller upstairs so we would not be in any pathways, but they would not bend. I explained I made the reservation WITH a stroller and despite it being confirmed, we were still turned away. We had to change our plans and go elsewhere which really isn't convenient with a baby.
Previously, I would have recommended this restaurant as the food has been good every other time I have eaten there, however the discrimination is a huge turn off and I will not be returning. I would advise those with strollers and perhaps even wheelchairs to avoid this place as you are considered a hazard and will not be welcome.
Funny how their listing here says 'kid friendly'.

We were nicely surprised by the great service and good food we had there.  We enjoyed their caesar salads, pizzas and the dessert my husband had the second time we went.  We found the pricing reasonable as well.

I would highly recommend this place to someone looking for a reasonably priced dining choice downtown.

    Really solid all around.

Very good service from host to wait staff. They were all attentive and helpful w/out being intrusive. Just the perfect blend.

The caesar salad is really good and can be shared by 2 if you are going to have a pizza. The minestrone soup is really good as well. The pizza was relatively good but slightly undercooked for my taste- just a tad.

The salad that had the scallops in it was plated beautifully and was absolutely delicious. That was a REAL salad if I ever saw one.

This is my 2nd time here when in Vancouver and would come back when in town again!

    Not bad...
Not bad at all. Cool, Tuscan-esque decor and top 10 radio hits on the amplifiers. Our service was stellar and the quatro sopino (or whatever it is they call that large pizza which is actually 4 different pizzas in one) is good stuff.

One of my usual dilemmas is figuring out how to eat everything I want in one meal. Quatro sopino = problem solved.

This large, fresh pizza was exactly:
    25% pepperoni & green peppers
    25% artichoke, ricotta, cherry tomatoes
    25% ham & pinapple
    25% sausage & red onions

    ---------------------

100% satisfying, perfect for two to split w/extra to nosh on when the feeling strikes.

I haven't been to the motherland of pizza, so I can't tell you how this compares. But I have eaten a lot of pizza in my time and I can tell you that Pacifico has two things that I like: Thin crust pizzas, and awesome toppings.

We had the Capricciosa and that arrived as it should, piping hot! The pizza was fairly good, the ham had an odd taste to it but I was oh so hungry.  The combination of artichokes, olives, cheese, and carb is just so good. We gobbled it up as though we hadn't eaten in days. I guess one thing about thin crust pizzas is they do disappear quickly. If you're sharing a pizza, you'll probably need two, if your eating partner is a hungry pizza eating machine.

For drinks I had the Ciao Caesar, which didn't have much kick to it, but I guess it's good if you don't like a spicy caesar (but what caesar-lover doesn't?).
The dessert we had was "Symphony of Chocolate". With that kind of a name, I must admit, I had pretty high expectations. Unfortunately, it was a bit underwhelming. It was basically a few pieces of chocolate brittle stacked on top of each other, served with a bit of cream. I guess the description did just say something like "chocolate brittle", so that would be my fault. But shouldn't a dessert called "Symphony of Chocolate" be pretty impressive? Don't you picture fountains of flowing chocolate and flavour explosions on your taste buds?

Also, they lost my reservation from opentable. Or rather, it got intercepted by mysterious creatures in cyberspace. At least, the host put us next on the list and we were seated after just a short wait.

One more thing, if you're looking at their online menu to see what they have it isn't entirely accurate. The starters aren't on there, and it seemed to me that their selection of pastas was a bit different.

That Margherita wasn't worth the price tag (around $17?), but we were starved and they provided us with fast and friendly service, so I won't complain much. When your stomach is growling you can't be much of a chooser!
My friend has a proscuitto and arugula one and it wouldn't hurt if they put some more meat on it...My Margherita was alright, but again nothing sensational. I've had better.
Overall,, good for a quick fix, but I don't think I'd go back...

Alright so...I see there are a lot of good review on this place, but I'm not really sure why.  I guess I should start this out by saying I've spent a lot of time in Italy so that's PARTIALLY the viewpoint that this review is coming from.

Myself and two friends went for dinner and we shared everything between the three of us.  Here is what we ordered and my impressions...

Caprese salad:  Tomatoes had no taste and mozzarella was not homemade or good quality - it was the rubbery stuff you get in the tub at the grocery store.  And there was only two tiny basil leaves on top.  Sooooo disappointing.  :(

Bruchetta: Could have been worse, but it sure wasn't that great.  Again, sadly,  the tomatoes were really flavourless.  When are restaurants going to start buying REAL tomatoes (farmers market! Hello!?) with real tomato sweetness, and not that hothouse fish fertilizer taste.  Tomato rant over.

Meatballs:  They fell apart completely and I'm not sure they were homemade.  They had a strange sawdusty texture, which is why I'm wondering if they were processed food...The sauce was good though - a bit spicy and had a nice kick.

Butternut Squash Ravioli:  Again not fresh made in house.  boo.  It's the same pasta I found recently at Zara's deli at Granville Island.  Only this time I paid almost $20 for 7 pieces of ravoili.  The cream sauce had a bit of a strange taste...honestly, kind of like maybe it wasn't "today's" sauce.  I was really disappointed in this dish.  I've made better myself.

Ham & Pineapple Pizza:  This was good.  But, it's very rare that I have ever met a pizza I didn't like.  It was by far the best part of the meal!  I would go back for the pizza if I was really hungry and in the area, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there.

Peanut Butter and chocolate ganache dessert:  Yummy!  I honestly don't think this was made there either, but I could be wrong.  It was really tasty though...melted in our mouths!

All in all, if you've ever spent any time in Italy and had really good food (i.e.: not in Venice or Rome touristy areas), then chances are you will probably be disappointed.  Sorry for the picky review, but I HAD to do it!

Food is good. I had the salomone pizza which was tasty. Prices have gone up at 19 but it is a meal and a half so not too bad for value. Service was alright, nothing memorable but as it should be.

BUT, management is dishonest. I reserved through Open Table.which rewards you with points if you reserve and eat there. Presumably Pacifico pays a fee to open table for the points rewarded. What the clowns running this place don't realize is Open Table sends you an email if they cancel your reservation denying you the points. The email noting the cancellation arrived while i was still in the restaurant. Out of respect for my friends i didn't make a scene, but then found out the next day that a friends of a friend experienced the exact same thing.

Would have given 3.5 or 4 stars, but with these practices i cant recommend this place. Go to another Italian place for a comparable meal without the dishonest management.

Great experience! We're in town visiting from Texas, where we actually have tons of great Italian food. We were craving Italian but wanted something on the more affordable and casual side. I found Pacifico here on Yelp, and I'm so glad we went! They have small plate and large plate options, which I loved--as a small woman, I can never finish anywhere near the amount of food I am served. It was great being able to pay less for a smaller plate (though I still couldn't finish it!).

I ordered the pesto pasta and added shrimp. The waitress asked what type of pasta I wanted, and I took a pause to think. She suggested the gnocchi and said it would complement the fresh pesto very nicely. She was so right. The soft and puffy gnocchi, the flavorful pesto (not too basily), the perfectly-cooked shrimp, and grated Parmesan on top were the perfect combo. I squeezed the lemon wedge on the side with it, and it made it even better. My husband stole a few bites and agreed that it was delicious. I also got the focaccia with goat cheese and arugula as a starter, which I loved. I wasn't sure if I would like it since arugula can be bitter, but it really was delicious and worked. My husband got the pasta with clams, shrimp, and I think oysters...he said it was fantastic.

We ended up spending more than we planned to (spontaneous appetizer and me adding shrimp), but the food was perfect, the ambiance was nice and quiet, and the waitress was so nice and knowledgeable. Couldn't ask for a better experience. I only wish we weren't staying at a hotel so that we could have taken the leftovers home and ate them again later!

I am from Chicago, where it is easy to find good Italian food, so I consider my standards to be pretty high in this area.  Pacifico Pizza did not disappoint, in any way.  My wife and I went there, and neither of us ordered the pizza, so I can't comment on that (although it did look good). I ordered the Pollo alla Parmigiana (Chicken Parm.), which is my litmus test for Italian restaurants.  It was well prepared, and I appreciated the choice of pasta and sauce (I chose Angel Hair, which was good).

We also selected a bottle of the Red Rooster 2009 Chardonnay, which was possibly the smoothest Chardonnay that I have ever drank.

The foccacia bread was tasty, as well as the minestrone soup and the spinaci salad, which my wife ordered.

They had flat screen TVs mounted, but they weren't on during dinner, which I prefer.

The service was quick and friendly and I would definitely return to try the pizza or other pasta dishes.

I came here with a pile of work ladies, since one of them was going on maternity leave, so we had a small farewell gathering. In my opinion its more like a "have fun never sleeping/drinking/going out late/having fun again pity party"

I had a cesar to start, somebody had to drink, since the pregnant lady can't right? It had shaved horseradish in it, which was ok, but the rest of it was kind of meh, and I didn't end up finishing it at all. One of us ordered the plate of bread with oil and balsamic, and that was pretty good, the dough must be made in-house because it tastes super fresh, and has reminints of flour on the crust.

I had the caprese pizza, which was alright, it could have used a bit more cheese and a bit more fresh basil. I mean, when there isnt even fresh basil to cover every slice, then what toppings are you really paying for?

The service was average and they included an autograt, which was fine, since we were a large group, it saved me from doing the math. The bills were split up, and they let us bring in our own cake.

I went to Pacifico's for a friends birthday, the service was a little slow but we were a large reservation on a Friday night, it happens.

They offer pretty much the usual pizza and pasta, I got the pomodoro sauce and was disappointed when it arrived because it was just sauce and noodles, I was expecting some sort of veggies or bread or something to come with it. My disappointment disappeared 1 bite in, this was the most flavorful pasta sauce I have ever had!

The pizza is apparently legendary but I can't vouch for that. Their mixed drink selection is also really limited but there is also a full bar available.

AMAZING PIZZA! Hands down one of the best pizza places in Vancouver. The crust is so thin and crispy and ingredients so fresh! If you want a quality pizza and don't mind paying a bit more, definitely come here. Unless you eat it you can't compare it. It is a popular joint for take out pizza.

I also had a stuffed pasta with chicken dish. It was very delicious and the sauces are to die for. No joke! Even after the pasta I ate I was already full but couldn't resist eating the pizza too.

This restaurant is so conveniently located too and the service is very good.

My second favourite food (first being Mexican) its Italian. I love the pastas, pastries, coffees, and of course, the pizza.

Pacifico Pizzeria is located right beside the movie theatre. Great location if you want to grab a bite to eat before or after a movie. The menu features a large variety of pastas, antipastos, soups, salads, and of course, pizza.

What makes a good pizza? to me its all about a the crust and the sauce. I love a thin, crispy crust and a tangy, sauce. Pacifico makes a great pizza. We started with the Margherita - a classic Italian favourite with crushed tomatoes, mozzarella cheese and fresh basil. It was awesome. Such a simple combination yet so tasty. The fresh basil really makes a difference. I also recommend adding a little bit of fresh ground pepper. The server will bring it to the table if you request it. We also had the Caprese - Sliced tomatoes with bocconcini, red onion and capers. Beautiful presentation.

I gotta tell you, their pizza sauce is awesome. Loved every bite. The pizzas range from $15 for a medium to a $25 for a large. The size of the pizzas are very generous. There were three of us, and we still have pizza left over to take home. A good value for your money.

You can also make your own pizza, additional toppings range from $2 to $6 per topping. There are many to choose from, including wild BC salmon, artichoke hearts, smoked gouda and grilled eggplant as well as favourites such as pineapple, mushrooms, ham and salami.

For dessert we had the strawberry cheesecake. It was very creamy with a cookie crust. It was big enough to share.  We also had some delicious Italian coffees. Overall a very good experience. I will definitely come back to try out their pastas next!

Let me say this review dates back to when they were Lombardo's, please correct me fellow yelpers if things have changed!

I give this place the 5 stars ONLY for their mushroom sauce fettuccine. I usually have focaccia bread n that bitter tasting San Pelleigrino, Chino. I order the Chino as it seems to help smooth out any heaviness in the pasta dish.

I must confess, I am a big big carnivore and MUST eat meat... but something really odd overcomes me when I step into this place. I really don't know how they do it! The mushroom sauce is SOOOOOO amazing n yummy... I always order it OVER the meat sauce. nb it is the Red mushroom sauce that I order.

I have had their pizza... its GOOD, but I don't find it spectacular as some people find it. I believe thin-crust pizza, if served immediately should ALWAYS be good. I think their pizza is on par with another popular place, Marcello's.

Their Waitresses are very friendly... but I do find their timing or is it the time of the kitchen? very very odd... don't know how to describe it, every time I go... it either takes them long to take my order, get me my food or get me my bill... that's prob the only negative I have about this place. I'm hoping it's dif on my next visit.

It's a nice casual place... good for families.

please let me know if there are any to-die-for-dishes that I need to try here! if not, it will continue to be the red mushroom sauce fettuccine for me!

I came here for dinner with my girlfriend and an old friend and his 2 daughters while we were on holiday. We stumbled upon Pacifico while we were looking for an Italian restaurant that wasn't too formal (because we had the 2 girls with us (2 & 4 years old)). Pacifico is not a formal place, but it was decorated very nicely. We were seated right away and our waitress was very nice and accommodating. They had flat panel TVs on a wall and there was snowboarding and NBA basketball playing when we were there. Snowboarding aaand NBA basketball? What more could I ask for? Luckily I sat on a seat facing AWAY from the TVs so that I could be sociable. :)

Between all of us, we ordered a mixed pizza (different toppings on each half of the pizza), a green salad (their salads are big enough to share), gnocchi & Linguine alle Vongole (garlic clam linguine). The price is average price - approx. $20 per entree and everything that we had was very good.

My husband and I ate there on Friday, it was delicious.

We were seated right away  on the middle level of the 3, it is very nice inside.  We were brought water but then not attended to for about 10 minutes by the waiter.   Ok , I guess but we were ready to order in about 3 minutes as the menu is very clear and well laid out.

I ordered the small order of the smoked salmon dill pasta with capers, Perfect size, Pasta perfectly cooked, lots of sauce with tasty smoked salmon in it and the dill was not too overpowering.  I like capers so the half a jar of them that had to be in there was good for me but it you don't like them their flavor did take over the dish and it would have been too much to just pick them out.

We shared the pizza dough foccasia it was delicious, and the muscles were good as well but had a weird smell..

My husband had the veal basil pasta it was a huge portion that not even he could finish.  It  was good, he enjoyed it.

Their wine list was limited, but i did enjoy the glass i was poured.   The price seemed quite reasonable for what you got.

If you read a bunch of the reviews here it paints a picture which is pretty spot on for my experience here: Good-to-great food, really inconsistent service.

Sometimes you have a great server, drinks are refilled and you don't even notice it. Sometimes you're told "the lasagna will take about 12 minutes" and 40 minutes later it still hasn't shown up and you actually have to walk over to the bar to get a drink yourself.

The pasta and pizza are REALLY good and the portions are very generous.

Oh and moms be warned: they do not allow strollers in the dining area, so the baby has to be in your arms or old enough to sit up in a high-chair.

    * Same old, same old *

As I reported earlier, Lombardo's had gone downhill the last time I was there (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) and then eventually it seems to have changed to Pacifico.

I had been meaning to try it since the name change - to see if things would pick back up.

But sadly it is the same old, same old.

They made some very minor tweaks to the menu (including raising prices on many of their pizzas), but things seem pretty much the same.

Tried the simple margherita pizza to test them out.  The crust was decent, but a bit soggy in the centre.  And they have gotten really cheap with the basil.  A single leaf in the centre!  Bah!  Even the photo on their new website shows at least a leaf per slice.  Bah!

Sadly nothing has changed with the servers either.  They are still rather indifferent, hard to get a hold of, and I had to once again ask a few times to order or pay the bill - even though they still seem way over staffed for the size of the place.  The servers just didn't seem all that happy to be working there still.

    I don't see myself returning.

Found this place by chance as we were walking back to our hotel from exploring the area...Should have kept walking.  The waiter really couldn't offer us any decent advice on which menu options he recommended and the BC wine he recommended was sub-par.  The antipasti was a decent serving, and you can split a pizza order so that you and your date can each have your own half of pizza the way you'd want it.  Nothing special there...Thin crust - ok better than we thought it would be but overall nothing to write home about.  The saving grace would have to be the atmostphere.  Cute little place (spread over three small floors) where location must have play a large part in their survival...

My friends were in the mood for Italian and the first thing that came to mind in the downtown area ( close to the chapters I was standing in) was Lombardo's.  When we finally arrived, I realized it had now become Pacifico Pizzeria.

I was excited to try something new!  To say the least, it was a happy accident!

They offer an incredible range of pizzas and pastas . Sure to please whatever style you may crave whether that craving be meat or vegetarian driven.

Portions are a bit bigger than what I'm used to which might just mean this is the way it should be!!!

Prices were reasonable. Customer service was attentive but not overbearing.

I tried one of their cocktails, the Pink Lemonade.  Refreshing! I could see myself drinking quiye a bit of those on a sunny day!  Tasted like summer.  Yes, that season has gone.

All round a wonderful experience.  If you are in the area and think to yourself, Earls cuz ya know it and can't think of anywhere else --- STOP!  It's just a hop, skip and a jump to better food.

Pacifico is located right next to the theater so it's a great place to waste some time before going to see a movie.  I almost always get the Capelli d'Angelo - Delicious seafood with angel hair pasta and a white wine garlic sauce! MMM!  They also have amazing focaccia to start. Service is a little slow, so I wouldn't suggest heading there in a rush.

Came to Pacifico's via a recommendation for a bartender at another restaurant and it didn't disappoint.  The pizzas were amazing.  We ordered the Formaggio and the Margherita.  The sauce was the way we like it, thick and not too sweet and the crust was crispy and bubbly (I really get turned off when the crust is gooey and undercooked).  The caesar salad big and tasty and enough to share.  Our waitress was tentative and knowledge on their small inexpensive wine list..  There was nothing we didn't like about this place!  Should be 4 1/2 stars.

For people looking for a good, friendly cheap italian that does really good wood fired pizzas.  We have called in a couple of times and there is always a good buzz but no need to book.

A great late night spot for some quality food. The wait on a Friday night was only 10 minutes. Ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was above average. Asked for cocktail sauce but they didn't have any. Had the salsiccia pizza as an entree and outside of the artichoke hearts it was pretty good. On the other hand, the seafood pasta seemed a bit dry. We tried topping off our meals with the panda cotta and banana dessert but they were out of both so they comped us a tiramisu. Overall a pretty decent dining experience and I'm giving an extra star for the comped dessert.

I have to say first off the food is amazing.  Unreal!  Great prices.  We ordered prawns in tomato sauce and scallops as appies and made created our own pizza for the entree.  The pizza was delicious they have a great selection of toppings.  The prawns were big and fresh, and the tomato sauce was soooo good.
The reason I have to give this place such a bad review is because of the service we received.  I can say this because my partner and I both work in the service industry, and know in which order, and how quickly things can be done.  We always leave a little leeway since we know the job can be stressful.  There were 6 people in front of us when we walked in and it took a hostess 5 minutes to acknowledge anyone.  The bartender didnt greet us, and the bar is right beside the entrance.
We ordered alcoholic beverages and finished them fairly fast, they were never filled up because our server didnt ask us for any more,  nor did he ask us if we wanted more water, both remained empty for the duration of the meal.  When we were done and our pizza was packed up we waited 40 minutes for our bill, my boyfriend had to eventually go ask for it, as servers just continued to walk up and down the stairs past us.  Our dessert which had been finished for 20 minutes just sat on the table in front of us, with all our dirty glassware.  The restaurant wasn't even busy at this point, it was past 9pm.  I'm disappointed in the service we received.  I do recommend trying the place, as the food is unreal.  I just hope you didn't get stuck with the same people that served us

This is a wood fired pizza and pasta restaurant, the food is very good  (we only had the pizza and Caesar salads) but they were both excellent. The pizza is nice and saucy with excellent quality ingredients and fabulous mozzarella cheese, and that thin chewy crust we love. It is a  not your basic pizza joint it's more upscale and very lively and busy.  Not  on the cheap side ( large pizza $24 medium $16) so if you are looking for a slice or a cheap night out try one of the other suggestions here. Overall we thought it was worth every penny!

Best Pizza in the city!  Eaten here 3 dozen times - and only 1 bad experience.  So consistent - good service.  Decor is a bit lacking - please update the chairs...  :(  Overall though - a big WOW!
