Review from Lucas C.

I love this little store. I don't bother looking at the prices anymore. I just grab a pile of stuff i want, and walk out with two big bags of fruits and veg for usually about $15.

Review from T M.
Burnaby, BC
I'm one of those people who have a hard time looking at a pile of fruit or veggies and trying to figure out how much it weighs. Unfortunately, the cost of buying those fruits and vegetables is usually by kg/lb.
This tiny, tiny (and I mean tiny!!) shop tucked in this strip on Kingsway & Willingdon takes the pressure off. The owner has a lot of items bagged and the cost labelled. A lot of these bagged items are $1 !! You can get a bag of red and green peppers for $1, a bag of plum tomatoes for $1, a bag of apples for $1, a bag of onions for (yup) $1. There are items that still have to be weighed, but most are inexpensive. All are fresh looking.
The produce is a mix of imports and BC grown. Most of the items are labelled so you know where they were grown. Otherwise, feel free to ask the owners. They are a very friendly Chinese couple from South America. They'll answer your questions, possibly even take special orders.
Don't expect to be able to wander the aisles (2 aisles, if you can call them aisles) with carts. The shop is very narrow and did I mention tiny? It gets busy after 4pm (just as people finish work or school) and you may have to squeeze by others trying to pick up some fresh produce for their dinner.
Cheaper than the nearby IGA.
Note: Sometimes, right next to the entrance outside, are specials for end of season fruits or vegetables. Ex. Cantaloupes for $1 each or small, seedless watermelons for $1 each.
