Review from Elif F.
This point of entry was much faster then the Peace arch. Note to self never ever try to cross the border on New Year's day or the day before Christmas Eve. Wait times have been above 5 hours in my experience. IF you make this trip often I'd suggest getting a Nexus!

Review from Fritz S.
Visually, this place is pretty nice!
You got your beautiful renovated visitors center boasting Canadian culture, totem polls, and history. Flowers eryywhere! a nice park where u can take pictures of the arch.
The wait wasn't that long for me (only 30 mins or so) and it went by quick! The officers are pretty much straight forward with no facial expression. (looks at passport, looks at me, looks at passport looks at me....)
Officer: where are you headed?
Me: Seattle..
Officer: Why are you going there?
Me: shopping for my kid
Officer: how long are you staying?
Me: the whole day..
Officer:.......................................... ........... bye..
no facial expression whatsoever. i think he was trying to intimidate me.. lol oh well.. I have yet to meet an officer with a sense of humor.. and do they even exist?.... oh well, i guess its understandable considering the world is fucked up with crazy people!!!!!
k bye! *wink*Listed in: Yelps "Thirty Day Challange"

Note to self: from now on, travel with your own stamp pads in an array of colours. You never know when you may need one.
Now that I'm a-ok to cross borders again (immigration was the issue, not cooties, by the way), I thought it'd be fun to visit the fam-damily up in Vancouver. Heading into Canada was no problem, though Canadian customs agents aren't necessarily known for their charm. Coming back, though, was a bit of an adventure.
Because I have to have paperwork processed to come back into the US, my folks and I had to go into the dreaded building. I dunno about you guys, but when I have to converse with a customs officer from the safety of my vehicle, my hands start to sweat. When I actually have to get out of the car, my whole body starts to sweat, and I get a bit of stutter. My innate physiological response to this is to become overly chatty. So imagine me, sweating, stuttering, and being overly conversational with all of the customs agents. Sounds to me like a recipe for an anal probe.
Fortunately, though, the folks here were exceedingly nice. We all had a good chuckle at the fact that I almost didn't gain entry because they couldn't find a blue stamp pad. Ok my chuckling may have been slightly high pitched and panic stricken, but it was chuckling none the less, and nobody's anal got probed. Can't really complain about that, can I?Listed in: The Vancouver Edition, FUC This!

Review from Corey G.
Finally, finally, FINALLY! Corey G's been apprehended. I know he must have committed some heinous crimes, because for the last 2-years I've been detained for hours at the border every time (and we won't even talk about the strip-searching).
At any rate, returning to the US only took a whopping 5min!! **I knew I shoulda smuggled those contraband Cubans!!**Listed in: My Top FUCs

Review from Morgan L.
It was quick.
but I nearly threw up with how intense they are. -
Review from Don B.
What can I say? The not-so-secret "truck route" crossing spot will usually save you a grip of time over Peace Arch, but with the shorter line comes some "no frills" industrial-style service.
My most recent crossing took place here, and fortunately, it was uneventful. My paperwork was in order, I had nothing of consequence to declare, and the guy working the booth looked like he'd rather be elsewhere. 3 or 4 questions, and I was in.
Welcome back to the good 'ol U S of A.

Review from Reena M.
This crossing will save you (usually) a lot more time into the U.S. and the border guards here can be funny and crack jokes with you. I mean... when you're two sisters that typically get called twins, what young guy wouldn't comment?
I also prefer the Nexus crossing here better than the Peace Arch. I still find the Nexus line at Peace arch quite long.
The duty free store at this border crossing is a lot nicer too!
However, minus 1 star for the customs officers inside the big house having attitude problems. -
Review from Marc Daniel E.
The line-ups at this border crossing is a lot shorter and faster than the ones at Peace Arch. Also, If you live around the Guildford, Fleetwood or Cloverdale areas of Surrey, or live close to Hwy 1, its really easy to get to this border crossing. Just go down 176th (Hwy 15th) all the way south and you'll hit it!

Review from Diana B.
Out of the 3 ports, this is the Best! Officers are pretty cool, no long line ups on the way out around 7-9am. On the way in, anytime before 3 pm or after 8pm is good. Just have all your docs ready, and slide on by....

Vancouverites aided myself and a Seattle companion in smuggling ourselves across the border with records and band equipment. Given third degree over band equipment and told we were probably on drugs. PROBABLY?
