OK, I don't know if this place deserves five stars or not, but the wasabi poke bowl damn well does.  (I recently went to a restaurant in Huntington Beach, CA that serves ONLY poke bowls with various sauces.  Seriously.)   It's a bunch of perfectly textured raw poke with a perfectly seasonsed savory sauce, greens, and rice.

Oh yeah, they have a massive menu with other fish items that people who don't use Yelp order for some reason.  Coming with friends, I had the fish of the day twice: once was meh and once was really good, like 4 stars.  But not wasabi poke bowl good.  I think I've made my point.

They also have pretty well known sweet potato fries.  Yes, sweet potato fries are kind of a thing now just about everywhere I go in the Bay area.  I don't know if PC are leaders or followers.  Whatevs.  Usually I like sweet potato fries, but they seemed somewhat incongruous here (and suddenly noticeably less healthy) next to the poke bowl.

Keep in mind the marina location is much MUCH smaller than the GG park location so seating is kind of hit and miss.

The restaurants manager contacted me after reading my review dated  5/9/12  to apologize for giving me food poisoning with their rotten sashimi.  I asked for my money back, it's been almost a week and no response from the restaurant manager.

Why even bother contacting me to apologize if you're not going to do anything about it?  All I ask is to be refunded the entire amout I wasted at this restaurant.

Consumers should stay away from this place.  You'll get sick and won't even get your money back.

Pacific Catch is a place that makes me want to move to San Fran! :)

Me and my hubby were recently visiting the Marina area for a week and on our first day we discovered Pacific Catch. Thank you Universe! The first thing we tried was Grilled Artichoke- OH MY GOD! it's the best thing I have had in a very long time. I had a food orgasm from the first bite!  ( Let me tell you I don't get a lot of those)  Then we ordered Wasabi Bowl and it was so healthy and delicious - brown rice, seaweed salad, some other delish salad and a whole bunch of goodness in a plate.

The service was very friendly and attentive and the whole place felt very homey and comfortable.

In the week that we were in San Fran, we went back to Pacific Catch 4 times and every time we ordered different things ( except the artichoke of course, I had to have it every time I was there, haha) This place is no worse than any high end restaurant ( minus the crazy high end prices).

Every time we were there the place was full , so once we sat at the bar and once on the patio, but regardless of where we were sitted, we always enjoyed the food and the experience. OH, you must try their Miso Soup, it's probably the best one I had. Yum!

If you live in the Bay Area, you absolutely MUST visit the Pacific Catch. Please have some Grilled Artichoke for me! :) hehe

I have almost no reason to go to the Marina (nothing against it, but it's across town) except for this restaurant.  It serves up fresh, flavorful, outstanding seafood in a casual atmosphere.  The rice bowls (with brown rice) and salads are equally excellent.  Healthy, delicious and at a reasonable price.  One of my favorites in the city.

What an awesome little lunch spot! Before moving to SF, my boyfriend had raved about his love for Pacific Catch's Hawaiian Poke rice bowl. We happened to be in the area around lunch time and decided to stop in so I could finally give this place a whirl! I wasn't overly hungry so I opted to grab one fish taco a la cart ($5) + a grilled artichoke side ($5) while he, naturally, opted for the rice bowl (around $15).

Everything was so, sooo good. Fresh and flavorful. I loved that they had fish tacos that were GRILLED, not overly grossly fried like so many places. I shared my artichoke and we were both fans -- I mean, how can you go wrong with grilled artichokes? I had a bite of his beloved rice bowl and was in love immediately. I was taking mental notes so I could recreate that goodness at home! Just so many good flavors and so many great healthy options. Perfect little lunch spot! The seating is really limited inside so be prepared. There's outside seating with heaters which is great if the SF weather is working in your favor. :)

Great seafood place with a bit of Asian flare.  BBQ Salmon Sandwich and the Fish 'n Chips are two of the best dishes.  Place is tiny so go a bit earlier or later or grab takeout.  Also have some good Hawaiian beers (Coconut Porter is pretty awesome).

A worthy catch in my book.

As a hungry first timer I wanted something filling, so I went straight to their Pan Asian-Rice Bowl section of the menu. Each rice bowl is prepared in one of three styles: Japanese Wasabi (sushi inspired), Hawaiian Teriyaki (sweet & tangy) and/or Korean BBQ (korean cuisine).

I went with the Japanese Wasabi and opted for the healthier brown rice. The Seared Ahi caught my eye (slightly raw tuna) and chose that as my meat.

I was taking it to-go and ordered a couple more things. Their sweet potatoes fries as an appetizer and two desserts items, which I got for free because it was my first time checking in with Foursquare (such a sweet deal).

The rice bowl was AMAZING! They mixed the rice in a soy-wasabi sauce which complimented the Seared Ahi quite nicely. It tasted subtly spicy and rather healthy. The filling portion was large and also included wakame salad, avocado, sprouts, daikon salad, ginger, sesame seeds and shredded nori. As a to-go order this was all spread out on a wide and recyclable paper plate.

The sweet potato fries were pretty addicting but what I became of fan of was their Fried Dulce de Leche "Spring Rolls". It tasted like fried heaven! At first glance it looks like a largely lumpia or fried egg roll, but once you bite into it you'll receive the sweet flavor of vanilla cheesecake & caramel sauce. They even give you extra caramel sauce on the side if you want some more sweet dipping action. The second dessert item I got was their lychee ice cream. It was nothing special, but I hear they change their flavors every month.

I enjoyed this all in the comfort of my apartment. It's a good spot to grab dinner on the go as long as you call ahead of time. This location is small but looks cozy. Maybe I'll sit in next time.

I'm no stranger to this place - it's my default place for takeout thanks to their online ordering awesomeness.

Favorites - 2 tacos platter with salad:
    1. steak taco
    2. salmon taco

Usually I don't have "usuals" since I like trying new things, but these two items are pretty special.  They sound mundane and perhaps even boring, but the combination of the different ingredients in the taco really is quite awesome.

    dessert:
Fried cheesecake springroll with ice cream - I absolutely have to get this whenever I eat in instead of take out.  (I also tends to recommend strongly ;)  to my friends so I have someone to split it with.)  I believe this is the only dessert where I don't mind having caramel on it!  Yes, it's that good.

Generally anything with ahi tuna here is pretty awesome as well.

Shrimp cocktail thing - no good.  Hawaiian poke - good.
Daily specials - it's really a hit or miss.  I've had awesome ones like crab chowder(?) and not so good ones with random fishes.  Overall, love this place, lively atmosphere, good comfy food, and most of the servers I've had are super amazing awesomeness.

    Will come here often!

Great place to come for a delicious meal in a casual setting.

A few of my favorite things:
Hawaiian Poke appetizer- great to start your meal off or if your not too hungry have it as your meal!
The Shrimp tacos- so juicy and full of flavor
Fried Oysters- nomnom I LOVE LOVE oysters and they give you a generous helping of oysters in this dish!

and last but not least do not leave without getting an order of the leche rolls served with vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel.

    Yum!

I love their ahi poke rice bowl.  The combination of the ahi poke, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, avocado, and wasabi dressing in this bowl of rice all goes so perfectly well together.  UH-MAZING is all I could say.  The poke is cut up into bite sized pieces  and marinated with just the right amount of sauce.  I always order this bowl with brown rice for an extra kick of nutrition.

I also love their California salmon sandwich.  Salmon, avocado, aioli sauce on the softest ciabatta bread I've ever had.  The salmon is grilled to perfection.  I always order this with sweet potato fries.  Their sweet potato fries are served with a sweet chili sauce.  It is the perfect combo.

stopped by here on the way back from sonoma. it was the perfect way to end the day. service was fast, but the staff was very friendly and welcoming.

we started with the ribs, sweet potato fries and Hawaiian poke for apps. the poke was deliciously flavorful, as were the ribs. and you can't go wrong with sweet potato fries (which come with a tasty wasabi mayo that has just a little bit of kick)

I had the ahi tuna salad (cooked rare) with their wasabi-ginger dressing. So good, and could serve as two meals if you're not super hungry. My friend had the same ingredients in the rice bowl version, which was also tasty and had the added texture of brown rice.

Overall, definitely a spot I would return to next time i'm in San Fran for a chance to try all the other dishes on the menu!

Came here for lunch with a coworker.
This place has a beachy cafe type ambience. Casual, fun, and relaxing! Very small though. The food was very tasty! Service is pretty fast and friendly.

    Food:
    - I ordered the Wasabi ahi sandwich - the fish was \fresh and tasty. I was smacking my lips while eating this sandwich. Mm mm.

-Sweet Potato Fries - if fried spuds are your thing, you'll like these fries. Crisp and flavorful. Ate everything.

-Lemongrass ice tea - blah - watery, don't bother with this.

Here's the thing, we noticed the guy next to us ordered the Rice Bowl and both my coworker and i were like "oh man, that looks so good, we should have ordered that." the portion looks huge and yummy. Definitely going to order that next time!

    - I was also pleased with their selection of beer - they even had asian  beer and Longboard (Hawaii). Got my respect!

I have been going here since they openend and I really enjoy what they did with the remodel. The patio is much more pleasant and having a real bar is great. My wife an I thoroughly enjoyed our meal. I like the several fresh fish options and my wife loves the salads. The only negative is that the drinks are a bit pricey for the amount you get. Other than that, excellent.

Hole in the wall...literally. Only six tables (of two) and a bar (overlooking the kitchen) seating about 8-10. Et voila, c'est tout!

Got there around 1:15pm and took the last table. By 1:30pm there was a waitlist for a place to sit and a long line of hungry customers more than willing to wait.

Dad ordered the special: Mahi Costa Rican. Fresh (and generous portion) of Mahi fish garnished with chimichurri sauce with a side of slaw, dirty rice (Cuban style) and a fried plantain with sour cream. Amazzzzing, and only $14!

I got the Mahi Hawaiian bowl ($13) and when I asked for 1/2 the order of rice instead of a  full order the amicable waiter offered to substitute half of my rice for salad.

Server was stellar. It looked like he was doing a perfect dance from kitchen to tables.
Glasses were always full and before anyone needed a refill dude was one step ahead of us!

Prices were very fair considering the quality and amount of food served.

    They cater and offer take-out.

    I love this place!

I crave their fish tacos (all the fish variations are delicious. i avoid the fried stuff but i hear thats amazing too.) Their bowls are good if you aren't getting it to-go. The bowls are super healthy, with a lot of flavor. I like the tuna one. I've also had the salmon BBQ sandwich which is also delicious! And their sweet potato fries...mm mm mm!!!!!

the only reason i didn't give 5 stars is because it's really small and usually too busy to enjoy the second when i want it :(

Great service, big portions! We ordered the calamari appetizer and upon recommendation from the server, ordered one ahi poke wasabi bowl to share. The calamari was really crisp and tasty. Not oily at all. It also came with lemon tempura mixed with the calamari which was a tasty surprise! It kind of reminded me of the basil those boba places fry with crispy chicken. Tapioca Express anyone? The chipotle mayo sauce they provided with the calamari was too salty for our taste buds. The calamari was already seasoned so they tasted better w/out the sauce.

The server was really cool and without us even asking, she split the ahi poke wasabi bowl into two separate bowls. I thought that was really thoughtful of her. And for $12, this was a really good deal. I loved the fresh combination of tuna, avocado, seaweed salad, and ginger on top of rice. I have to note, however, that we found the soy seasoning for the poke to be a little too salty as well. It soaked into the rice so most of our rice was salty and it was a kinda hard to finish. We did finish all the tuna and other toppings though!

I still want to give this place 4 stars because of its location as well as the quality and price of the food. And let's not forget the service!

If Subway's Jared ate the Ahi Poke Bowl here everyday, he would fit into a size 0, faster.

With that being said, the Ahi Poke Bowl here is PHENOMENAL!
The fish is fresh, flavor is on point, and the portions are big enough to feed two! It's full of healthy sprouts, avocados, edamame beans, seaweed, veggies, and you can even substitute white rice for brown rice! I could eat this healthy concoction everyday and not feel guilty.

The Tom Kha soup was also flavorful. Spicy, tangy, with hints of lemongrass and coconut milk. The shrimp and mushrooms in the soup were fresh and plump. Delish!

They also give you a free side dish of edamame beans and Goldfish pretzels while you wait for you order.

I gave it four stars because the fried oysters were good, but not great, and it smelled like body odor in the booth area where I was seated.

Overall, this place has an upscale vibe with a casual dress code. No need for dress all fancy schamcy here. A great place to take a date or folks from out of town.

Seared ahi tuna sandwich...spicy fries...and a passion fruit iced tea.  That's one spectatular lunch!

Totally cute place on one of my favorite streets in the city, Chestnut.  Surrounded by all kids of great shops, bakeries, and other cafes -- this place offers some healthier items with fish, some chicken and even some beef -- salads, bowls, tacos, and sandwiches.  If you are feeling a little naughty for some fried stuff -- fish and chips -- and it looked so good.

Great, friendly service.  Small amount of tables (10ish inside, and 2-3 outside), still, I was able to get a great spot at 1230pm on a beautiful sunny Friday afternoon.

There's 4 locations in the city, hunt them out...it's quality food and well priced.

It's real hard to stand out in the city when you're an itty bitty, especially when you're standing next to the mega jugs. Uh hm.. Tacolicious.  Still, you just have to work that itty bitty like you're the spokesperson for that committee. And that's exactly what Pacific Catch does.

    Why 5 stars?

    - An itty bitty interior propogates a more intimate scene.. I don't mind if my elbows clash other guests, gives reason to pop a hello.
    - A very Happy hour, $3 menu!
-BBQ salmon tacos*! Chicken tacos! Mahi Mahi tacos! $3 each (Happy Hour)
    - Spanktaculous sauce that makes those tacos so dammmn goood! (Part of the $3)
    - Sweet potatoe fries! With Spanktaculoso sweet and sour sauce. $3
    -Spend $25 in feeding two.
    - Get full, happy and venture into the Marina again.
    - Help your girl pick out a pair of leggings at Gap, while being heterosexual.
    - Spend $50 on that special pair of leggings at Gap.

Came here this weekend, and its a small little spot, but we squeezed in the back on the bench top like seats. Ordered a orginal crispy taco order with spicy fries, and a seared ahi rice plate with a bottled beer.

Great fries. and the tacos were great. Lots of flavor and juicy fried fish was delightful. The seared ahi tuna wasnt for me but i tasted a piece of tuna and it was nice and fresh with a perfect sear.

Id like to come to this place again.

My friend took me here trying to find a gift for another friend, and she said this is one of the best places she's been to. So we went and I came along with her. Apparently, I thought it was just for fish tacos but I was really wrong. I ordered a rice bowl; the Korean BBQ with two fillets of salmon, and oh boy, it filled me up and it was probably one of the best rice bowls I've ever had! Will be back for more, definitely!

THE GOOD: The ceviche - one of the best I've ever had, but the shrimp wasn't diced. A little too big for my preference. The slaw - YUM. A unique twist on cole slaw with a sesame taste.

THE BAD: Oh my goodness, this place is small. If you extend your arms, you can easily grab the lady's boob next to you sitting at the next table. Yup. That close. Parking is also a biatch. Seriously, it's the Marina.

THE MEDIOCRE (I know you were expecting "ugly"): For our main dishes, I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Rice bowl and my bf ordered the Mahi Taco and the Baja taco. For myself, I'd say it was just okay. Definitely not worth the hype. I'm a little biased, however. I'm not a true fan of raw/semi-raw fish. My bf said his tacos were just "alright" also.

2 appetizers, 2 meals = about $45 including tip. Not bad.

Would I go back? Probably not because of parking and cramped seating.

Wow this place was a great find! The sweetie and I were in the mood for some food, but nothing overwhelming so after walking up and down Chestnut Street we decided on this place after changing our minds from burgers, and boy was it the the right decision.

Nice, small but clean place that had outdoor seating but honestly it was too chilly for that. Sat against the large window/booth area and peeped the extensive menu of delicious items to choose from.

After much debate I opted for the 2 taco plate and chose the cabo shrimp and mahi mahi. Wow the shrimp was so crispy and all the addings complimented off each other from the smooth buttery avocado to the crisp shrimp and lettuce. The lime crema and jalapeno tartar are so good, I wondered why they don't have that sauce in a bottle and sell it. My mahi mahi was too, good as well. Nice and juicy with just the right amount of spice rub to not over power the fish itself.

I also got a Kona Longboard Lager to go with my meal and everything was just tasting and feeling right. Overall, everything was great from start to finish. Service kinda took a back seat but that's ok, it being my first time, I was more interested in the food anyways. Can't wait to try Pacific Catch back here at home in the South Bay, Chestnut definitely was tasty though!

Prices are about average for good seafood, I can see how bills can get easily out of control with all the yummy apps they have but just do the 2 taco plate, you'll be satisfied, and if you really are feeling super hungry get the 3 taco plate.

Lastly, the sweet potato fries here were easily the best I've ever had anywhere!

The ahi poke bowl was tasty with very decent portion. I loved the avocado and the loads of veggie they put inside, very fresh and flavorful! Their drinks were delicious as well, loved the mojitos.

Service was friendly, but slow since they were busy. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

My food felt worth 5 stars. I greatly loved the sweet potato fries. They were really tasty, friend also concurred with the tasty rating. Also had the wasabi ahi burger. Was a little leary at the start because wasabi can be potent stuff, but the balance of the wasabi, avocado, aioli and fish were spot on.Normally, rare fish anything that isn't sushi raises a red flag, decided to give it a whirl and was not disappointed. Counter seating area was a fun little bonus.

Dear Pacific Catch, where have you been all my life?
As a mega enthusiast of all things seafood, my taste buds couldn't be happier to have discovered you.

From the friendliest of servers, a small but warm 'n welcoming environment, this place has quite the menu to please many seafood lovers like myself. I was walking through Fort Mason with a friend and having moved to the Bay area recently, we saw a jogger through the park and asked where to go...she suggested we try this place out, and now, I want to thank this kind civilian for sharing such a wonderful food providing spot for us to check out. I am forever grateful mystery jogger!

The prices are great, we sat up right at the bar, watched the chef's cook everything up, looked fresh, delicious, and smelled amazing. Service was great, food was prepared fast, and served up nicely in plates. I ordered the Korean BBQ bowl, my friend and husband ordered the fish and chips and everything was eaten with "oh my mmmMmm! mmmM's!" after every bite.

We also ordered up some calamari to get started on our feast and wow, it may just be the best I've ever had. Prepared perfectly, not fried too much, but just enough..and they come with some amazing dipping sauce and peppers. Now imagine a smiley happy face. Yup, that's what I think we looked like eating this. Order some for an instant smile!

The fish and chips isn't your typical dish. This one comes with amazing fries, fish, fried oysters, and fried coconut shrimp. DEEEEEELISH! The Korean BBQ comes with a variety of meat or fish but I chose the grilled salmon. It was perfectly prepared.

We loved it so much, that we ventured into the Marina all the way from Berkeley just to eat here 2 days after the first time we went. It was glorious and highly recommend you check it out if you haven't yet!

Went here a few weeks ago with my other half. We both ordered ahi poke and more ahi poke. It was the ahi poke wasabi bowl. Let me tell you the ahi was mediocre and tasted ok.

I would probably go back to try some other dishes but will not order the same as last time.

Try it out for yourself who knows your taste buds might be different....

Great service, tasty food (wide variety on menu!), reasonable prices -- I'm a fan.  One nice thing about the Marina is the expansive selection of solid to-go / takeout places.

The staff is fast + friendly, seafood fare is delicious, and it is very clean.  Big portions too that you can take home.

The inside is small (they do have a few tables outside (I think with heaters) but they turn the tables over pretty quickly -- I've never felt rushed or anything, but never waited as long as I would've thought I would have had to wait given the size of the place.

I would not recommend driving here -- 22 and 30 buses go right by, and I assume parking would be a royal pain.  Very fresh food & also at the Marina location you can order online to pickup!

I a little writing this review but that's okay because I've been to Pacific Catch a few times now and its been amazing each time!.

So let me get the bad stuff out of the way first. Pacific Catch is small, too small because the food is so good that they really need more room to feed more people.

Now for the good stuff that make Pacific Catch so wonderful.
Although it small in here service is great whether you're at the bar or one of the tables indoors or out. The menu is amazing especially if you love poke! Don't fiight it just get the Hawaiian Poke Bowl it might be the best thing you eat in 2012. Another great item to try in the Korean BBQ bowl I like skirt steak so I really enjoyed this bowl. This bowl didn't make me dance but I did boogie just like I did the gangsta boogie to the sweet potatoe fries which were way better than I expected and the Calamari is really good as well.

I wish I could tell you a good time to go so I'll just say go anytime and be ready for a little wait but its worth the wait believe me! it really is worth the wait!

I'm assuming timing and wrong choice had everything to do with this mediocre experience.

My best friend and Elite Yelper Tiffany V! somehow convinced me this place was worthy by eating there consecutively for 3 days and texting me non stop about the catch that was Pacific Catch. One night, mouth watering for something, anything, and mourning the loss of master, I finally got her to take me there and we got there kind of late. I ordered the Poke Bowl because of the tuna element that lured me, so deceivingly I might add, because it had about as much Tuna in it as a bento box and a mountain of rice underneath. I ate all the tuna, all seven cubes of tuna and left the rice as a statement to the staff that the proportions were far from even and I would not have it. Not for $15.00 anyway. I am a rice factory in my own home, I had cheaper and more proportioned tuna bowl Westfield Shopping Centre. This was unacceptable.

Tiffany! and her friend Eli ordered drinks. The bar had to be the slowest because I'm sure my dessert came before their drinks did.

The dessert was really good though! it was an array of mochi sprinkled with chocolate decadence and powdered sugar.

I gave a good tip for a bad experience which is my very own kiss of death and blatant message that I will never return! call me when my the tuna bowl has either more tuna or has changed their name to rice bowl, then maybe my trust will return. seriously, call me when it happens. my number is 408 489 0750.

lol, I'm kidding. I've always been theatrical.

P.S. california roll salad?! worst idea ever. back to the drawing board. Pacific catch.
