If you're a bit of a klutz, like me, you may want to watch your step inside this Fourth Avenue store. Don't be intimidated -- it's more than well-worth the extra care you should take not to knock anything over once you're inside. Paboom is a great little gift shop, carrying really unique and funky kitchen gadgets and home decor pieces (vases, photo frames, smaller-scale sculptures, and some cool artwork). But its vast array of merchandise is tightly packed inside a relatively small space -- so tread lightly!
My most recent Paboom purchase was for a friend who loves to cook, and for whom I couldn't think of anything more perfect to buy than some colourful, kooky, kitchy kitchen gadgets. A corkscrew shaped like a cockatoo, and tongs that looked like Jaws himself -- she loved it!
Paboom's also got a pretty good little selection of funny greeting cards, so it's really an all-in-one gift shop. Check it out! -

I needed a key rack. After "racking" my brain trying to figure out where to go to purchase said key rack I remembered Paboom, my go-to resource for all of the household items that you really want but often don't really need. And yes, they did have a key rack which I purchased.
The store is chock full of really cool household and kitchen goods.
Their prices are very reasonable and their style is from modern tasteful to kitsch without straying into tacky. I would highly recommend this store to someone buying a gift for a hard to buy for friend.
My only grievance is the sensory overload one gets when one walks in, the product of merchandising a lot of stuff in a small square footage. You can't be in a hurry to find something in there although the staff is friendly and helpful in pointing you in the right direction. -

LUV this store. Kitchen, housewares and gifts. Nice selection, friendly sales clerk who is a YELPER -yay, yay, yay! and wants more people to yelp. -yay!
(just yay.)
Go here, bring some money, buy something, even if it's just a key chain that offends people. (snicker.) -

Paboom could do wonders with a little more space, but what store in Vancouver couldn't? Real estate is pricey and the little space that Paboom has is used to maximum capacity, with quirky and unique home decor items and kitchen thingamabobs. With the Christmas season approaching there are some very pretty and sparkly decorations for your tree and your house, along with beautiful glasswares, vases, interesting art pieces and candle-holders, along with bath mats, replacement knobs to jazz up your cabinet drawers, towels and pillows.
Hilarious cards, cocktail napkins, martini sets and decorative fridge magnets will keep your humble abode looking fabulous and your guests entertained! -

Love^3 this store!!! I found the cutest elephant salt and pepper shakers here where the two elephants have their trunks intertwined when sitting idle. This store has all sorts of randomly cute house items that can be useful and make excellent gifts. The price point is okay, about average for what you would expect in this area. But Paboom is officially a Kits staple. It's been here since I got here, which was 8 years ago!

This store is just packed with funky and shiny home decor items that are perfect as hostess gifts, stocking stuffers, or just delightful items for your favorite-things list.
I purchased a nice frame here from their limited but still diverse selection. It still looks great two years later. That's the thing about this store: it's not that big but if you're looking for something specific, you're likely to find quirky pieces that fit the description here. We'll call them niche items with wide appeal.
One of my favorite things are the pretty little notebooks with fabric-inspired covers. I've never treated myself to one, but they certainly make me want to be a daily diarist. The store displays are always fun and lavish--definitely not a spot to bring kids.
Paboom is certainly not going to serve the needs of any major-redecorating projects; however, whether you're looking for great accent pieces, special presents, or just perusing, Paboom is your spot. -

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place! It is cool, cheap and fun. If you are looking for unique dishes, kitchen utensils or picture frames check this place out. They constantly have new stock coming in and there is always something fun that you want to add to your home decor. It is like Ikea only a few shades cooler but just as cheap!

this is one of those those stores. instant smiles while i'm browsing.
lots of pretty kitchenware, dinnerware, cookingware, not sure about underwear! aprons, monkey cups, very pretty oven mitts, magnets, candles, lighting stuff, wall stuff, very pretty stuff!
ok. you just need to go there and look at it for yourself.

I really like this store. They have a huge selection of vases, picture frames, candles, wall decor, kitchen decor, and sooo much more :) You can spend a lot of time searching and tryingto figure out what type of candle you should buy ( I know! crazyy!) The sales clerks are chill and don't push you to buy everything in there, which is always good.

If you're looking for some creativity to add to your home decor, you'll find it at Paboom on 4th. They carry a range of accessories for your home from quirky to pretty with everything in between. This store has the usual array of toothbrush holders and bath mats, but they also have more fun items like unusual knobs for drawers and wall-sized stickers. They also carry a nice selection of cards and gift items, and should you be looking for cocktail umbrellas or quirky fridge magnets, they have them here. Paboom is a nice antidote to more conservative home decor stores where everything is beige.
