LOVING my stay at the Oxford Suites on the river.  I'm staying here for work and I'm thrilled with my company's decision.  Last time I was at the Davenport, which was nice, but the Oxford is just as comfortable, with friendlier staff, and it is FAR more reasonable.  Even though I'm not footing the bill, I appreciate that they don't charge for the little things- like parking or WiFi.

    The Pros:
(in addition to the aforementioned freebies)
** two free beverages per night during your stay
    ** free breakfast buffet included
** easy walking distance to Riverfront Park and the downtown corridor
    ** friendly and helpful staff
** an AWESOME cook - Dave - who knows how to make a truly rare steak!  The menu in the Oxford Bistro (which is the same as the room service menu) is limited, but done right.  He did a fantastic job.
    ** comfy beds
    ** big, well-appointed rooms
** pool, spa & exercise room were all A-OK

    The Cons:
I didn't have any.  Maybe, if I had to pick something, it'd be for more outlets near the desk.  I'm traveling for work and had to plug in a couple of gadgets near the sink.  Always makes me nervous.  I usually travel with a power strip for occasions like this but forgot it this time.

I'm glad my company has the Oxford as a "preferred hotel" - I won't stay at the Davenport any more!

The Bikes and Brews Crew stayed here after our long ride from Post Falls and Hayden Lake Idaho via our bicycles. The staff was excellent, the rooms were wonderful, and the complimentary drinks and appetizers were the perfect start to our evening.

Next mornings breakfast bar was a nice with real scrambled eggs and waffles.

    Definitely would stay again.

Great location, clean rooms, happy staff and a good breakfast.   Right on the river and trail.  Good pool and fitness facility.  The breakfast staff was very friendly and efficient.  Thanks!

My husband and I stayed at the Oxford Suites in downtown Spokane for a Valentine's getaway and really enjoyed its boutique feel without the boutique price.  The common areas are very nicely appointed, and the rooms very, well, roomy.

I also recommend it for my wedding couples who are having out of town guests.  It's centrally located, has shuttle service, good group discounts, a complimentary full breakfast bar, and evening cocktail service.  I believe it to be the best hotel value in town as far as bang for your buck.

I am in Spokane for a week due to work training and they put me up here. It is a very quality hotel with large size rooms and a comfortable bed. There is a free breakfast each morning with eggs, meat, and cereal. As well as coffee it is quite a deal. At night they supply you with two free drink tickets for the beer or wine of your choice. The pool and sauna/steam room are nice as well. Room rates are a little spendy but its free for me so who cares.

This is a nice place to stay in Spokane for business. Nice free breakfast, free drinks, and right on the park. Perfect for walking or running. The only issue I have is the attitude of the staff. Awfully condescending and not very friendly.

Updated, modern hotel within walking distance of downtown. Free parking, free breakfast, free cookies when you check in, free beer/wine/soda and appetizers each night (2 drinks per person)--how can you beat that?  As a female business traveler, I'm always wary of hanging out at a bar--but this place is safe and comfortable, without all the drama.  Mark, the bartender is amazing--he'll remember your name, even if he met you over a year or two ago--and he wants every customer there to feel comfortable.  I'll stay here every time I come to town.

We booked a week at this joint and the receptionist failed to inform us that their pool, spa, steam room, and sauna were all being remodeled.  We specifically chose this hotel because it had these amenities.  We had to re-plan our trip.

It would have been nice if they would have simply told us "hey, btw our pool and everything is broken, just so you know before you book your room"

    Was this review …?

We stayed here in early August 2009 for our one year wedding anniversary and bought the Romance Package.  Nice staff, very nice and clean room.  They gave us both champagne and apple cider for free, along with chocolate cake, and candies.   It also came with free breakfast and free evening reception with free alcoholic beverages (2 of them/person)!   Highly recommended.

We came to Spokane on a late night date and didn't book a hotel room.  Luckily this one had a room for us and it was great for the price.  The staff were friendly to us and check in/check out was no problem.  They do serve breakfast, but we slept in and missed it.  Our view was of the walking trail outside but we didn't stay for a nice view.  Great place right and easily accessible from the road.  Would stay again if in the Spokane area.
