Outdoor Innovations has an incredible variety of waterproof fabrics, all weights of polartec, shade clothes, foam, muslins, and shade cloths.
Coupled with that is their collection of widgets, snaps, buckles, webbing and cord.
With their provided patterns, you can pretty much build or repair anything you need to survive in the great outdoors.
And how many places in the lower mainland will sell you Kevlar thread.. bullet-proof thread!
Everytime I put on my Polartec 300 dressing gown, I think of them fondly...Listed in: Mainly Main

This place is an amazing specialty fabric store. From canvas to netting, they've got it all. And the nylon - oh, the nylon! Waterproof ripstop, ballistic, and everything in between, if they don't have it, nobody does. There was even something called 'closed cell foam' near the entrance; I'm not sure what it's used for, but at least now I know it's fun to squeeze. In the centre of the store three's a notions section, with all kinds of outdoorsy straps and snaps, d-rings, et cetera. Right beside that is a wall of patterns for things like jackets, bags, and ski suits.
This is one little store with everything you need to make your own professional outerwear. Sorry, Mountain Equipment Co-op membership card - I've found someone new and his name is Outdoor Innovations.Listed in: Fabrictopia Vancouver
