Really greasy and salty food, which wasn't really what I was expecting. On the plus side, the bread was really good. I asked the waiter for more bread, which I got right away. Me and my girlfriend had the blooming onion, the steak pasta, and the blooming burger. The portions are huge. We generally eat in large portions, but this was even bigger than what we expect, which might be a good thing to some. Overall, I liked the experience and although it might sound stupid but the bread from here is the highlight of my visit.

Hope you are sitting comfortably, this is going to be a bumpy ride. While the food is what one would expect at a roadhouse, the service was beyond terrible.
We arrived for dinner, an old workmate and myself, ordered a beer and a blooming onion and started our catching up. The waiter appeared and took our order as we continued to catch up, family and work stuff, lots of laughter.
As we are sitting there enjoying our beer and onion, the waiter appears with our salads. Ok, we push everything around and continue talking. Five minutes later, the waiter is back with our entrees in each hand, looking stupidly at the table trying to figure out where he is going to put down the 5th plate. I can see him playing mental Tetris, this will be tough, but if I stand the one plate on its side I am sure I can fit it.
I ask him why he would "call our mains"? Being a chef, I have a pretty good understanding of when you move an order along. Clearly we haven't even finished our appetizer, let alone the salads. He stares at me, deer in the headlights as he tried to figure this out. "We are not finished our app or salads yet, take it back" I tell him. His mouth makes strange little "o" movements, higher brain functions are desperately trying to kick in. I can see the fight or flight mechanism begin it's selection process. He says "if I take it back, it will get cold" "Yes" I tell him, "it will, and when we are ready you can make us another one". He turns and head back towards the bright lights which surely must be the kitchen. My pal and I return to our conversation and continue to munch away.
Another five minutes go by and a different waiter shows up with our entrees. Clever tactic, I won't notice it's only been a few minutes if a different person shows up. Genius. As the new one eyes the table, maybe thinking of stacking the various plates to create some sort of 3 dimensional art piece in hopes that will somehow distract us long enough for him to make his escape. I ask him, why would be bring out food we have just sent back to the kitchen? His reply, obviously repeated several times to himself on the way over to the table, "the computer has the meals on a timed interval, so it comes up in the proper order and on time" Right, my dinner companion lowers his head as if to avoid being hit with any arterial spray as I reach for the steak knife on the table. I remind him that we are here to eat on our timetable, not his.
Yet another 5 minutes goes by and yet another person comes towards the table, plates in hand. This time it's the Manager, who goes to great length to tell me how their automated system has determined that I am now hungry and want my meal. I loose it and let forth a stream of expletives that would make a pirate blush. I explain to him that if I see those plates again I will throw them across the room. 20 minutes late I tell the waiter we are ready for our mains, they are delivered and we eat. Finished our meal, the check arrives, nothing is said or compted.
That my dear reader is the last time I will ever eat there. -

Very expencive, but I guess it's the same everywhere by the falls. My wife and I shared one appetizer, one pasta dish, and a side of veggies (water to drink) and paid over $50 after tax and tip.
Other then that we enjoyed the meal. Food and service was good. We miss the outback chain in canada, eating here bought back good memories of some of our first dates. -

With The Keg being right across the street, why would we bother going to Outback? Simple: the Canadian chain had a 90-minute wait on a table for two people. Fuggedaboutit.
We were positively impressed with this location. Having being a regular Outback customer in Brazil, and disappointed with the Outback from the States, I can safely say that this location is as good as the best ones I've been to. The service and the food were great. They don't seem to jack up the prices because it's a tourist destination, like many of the other chains. -

It is the typical Outback, but be aware that they do not have the same deals.
Service was good and it was clean, but most of the appetizers were at least $5 more than in the US.
Steaks started at around $26 - you know the one you get for $10 in the US.
Do yourself a favour and go to the Keg steakhouse - at least you get a nice view of the falls and the food quality is better IMO. -

We should have known something was wrong when we walked in and the place was empty. Very very over priced. Limited menu. We left after ordering drink and seeing that the menu was limited. It appears that the are used to people having second thoughts about this place because the waitress did not even ask us why we changed our minds.

There was a 1-hr wait at all sit-down restaurants nearby, and this place was empty. One might ask, what were you thinking? Well, too hungry, I guess. Anyway, ok service, place smelled moldy. My husband asked for medium burger, and it was well-done, more like beyond well done. My salad had withered letteuce, near rotten. The fries were just fries, if they mess that up, they should close up.

If you want a decent steak, go to one of the two Kegs at the Falls. Steak was tiny and dried out, very disappointing.

Intesting difference between the Canadian and American reviewes prior to mine. The price at this outback is a reflection of Niagara Falls not Canada and you can't possibly expect to get a $10 steak here as you would in "my home town" USA. If that's the criteria, then eat at home. This is one of the last Outback's in Canada and it's our loss. Where else can you get a blooming onion...
