Review from Mauricio A.
Toronto, ON
Osgoode Hall is a wonderful building and possibly one of the nicest Heritage building in the city.
It has been the historic site for legal activity in Ontario and has garnered attention for over 170 years. Whether that is a good or a bad thing completely depends if you hate lawyers or their overseeing body.
Osgoode Hall has withstood more than ten
major restorations and the front facade has been kept basically unaltered to reflect the 1860 design and their front gardens are a delight if you are looking for a place to relax and sit on the grass or in one of their many benches.
A popular spot for wedding photographers (I should know) to take couple shot and the interior is really elegant and I would look forward to each day if my offices where in this building.
If you have ever walked in, you should if only to take in the architecture, and also the number of old-time photos showing not only the Hall but it's surrounding area. Quite worth it. Bring your camera if you like interior photography.
A great visit if you are craving a bit of Torontonian history. Or looking for a lawyer. :P -
Review from Primo L.
The Osgoode Hall building is the embodiment of the term Old School. I used to love studying in the upper tier of the library as a law student - tucked away, quiet, and surrounded by ancient tomes.
Recently attended a reunion here and would highly recommend the venue.
Go Osgoode!
