Review from Laureen H.
Burnaby, BC
Yesterday was my first time at Osaka Sushi. The food was great, the service was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. It sure beat out any fast food place. I'll go there again and recommend this place to anyone looking for a great japanese restaurant.

It's probably one of the best sushi restaurants in the GVRD and it's so unassuming that it's located in Coquitlam along the Barnett Highway of all places.
Very fresh ingredients, friendly staff, Japanese chef, clean interior... for what more can one ask? -

I loved yummy yummy was a regular for years before it changed to Osaka a few months ago. This is my fav spot I drive 20 minutes to dine in or take out. They are friendly fast and very reasonable :)

Grand opening today Tuesday Oct 25/11 this modern and snazzy 'chain' sushi bar replaces "yummy yummy sushi". Offering nominal fee brown rice upgrades and 10% off your order if you order a day before.
I tried the spinach gomae (fabulous), chicken teriyaki (a little dry), spicy salmon sashimi (sauce poured over instead of enrobed?), regular salmon sashimi (big pieces!) and spicy Agedashi (slightly larger pieces used but still tasty!)
The decor is pretty and very comfortable in dark wood. The takeout menu rocks the house and the regular menu is the perfect picture stuffed intro that every restaurant should display.
I am very GLAD a sushi place of quality is once again nearby with the last one having burnt down Nov 2010 across the street and down a little.
