Fantastic hamburgers!  Try the Sicilian burger (a burger topped with sausage and provolone).  There's a wing special on Wednesdays...I'd recommend the Caribbean jerk.  A decent selection of beers on tap.  Staff is always friendly and accommodating.   Not much in the way of decor inside.  But as far as a casual restaurant and sports bar, this is our running group's favorite Wednesday night hangout!

No one under 18 is allowed in.  Not sure why, but it's kind of nice in a way.  After a bad run, sometimes a few expletives fly. ;)

Every time I'm in Canada, I HAVE to have poutine. I was craving it like no other. I really, really enjoyed the poutine at Original Joe's.

I ordered the Roasted Turkey Club Wrap with poutine and sweet potato fries (OINK! OINK! OINK!). I could have done without the wrap. The chicken was dry. I didn't care for it at all.

The poutine and the sweet potato fries with the dill dip....YUMMY!! I guess I'm just a fat kid at heart, and I enjoyed the fried-artery-clogging foods more.

It's a fun place to hang out as well. The crowd and ambience is inviting.

I was pretty disapointed by Original Joe's. Have been thinking about trying this place for a long time so today my girlfriend and I stopped by and it was definitely not worth the trip. I scoped out the menu online first and it looked really good. Service wasn't anything to rave about, then again it was dead. I thought the Chicken Gyoza was good but my girlfriend wasn't to thrilled. Finally, on to the meal. She ordered the lettuce wraps, again, she wasn't to thrilled about them and she's one of the easiest people on the planet to please. I ordered the Saignon Chicken Sub. Sounded great on the menu, but sadly it was probably the worst thing I've ever had. It was like peanut butter on a chicken sandwich. The waitress asked if I would like something else (which I think was really nice of her). So I tried the pull pork, I've never had a bad pulled pork. Until now. It was bad and completely mushy. There were also huge pieces of peppercorn throughout the sandwich.

All in all, not a place I'd recommend for dinner service. Not with all the other options in the city to go to.

Don't really feel like making a large review at the moment, but I will say its definitely a favorite place to go to and my girlfriend loves it as well.

Love their Chicken Finger meal and I say its some of the best chicken fingers that I have had. Five delicious strips with a heaping pile of fantastic fries and some great dipping sauces like gravy and honey dill. With a soft drink and tip, my meal is about $15.

Another awesome side dish is their sweet potato/yam fries. They are so delicious.

I was curious about this chain from out west but I had a feeling that this place was going to be more pub than restaurant. First of all, the decor is quite boring and disappointing - just dark wood all around with no real theme and no interesting decorative items. I can't say I was even impressed with the TVs as it just looks like any random sports bar in the city. The layout had no distinct contrast between the bar and the restaurant, which probably explains why no one under 18 is admitted into Original Joe's (LOL...this is NOT a family restaurant so don't take your kiddies here cause you can't!). In terms of chains, I would say the decor and ambiance feels like an Applebees or Tavern United. The menu feels like a Moxie's with items that pander to the masses. The menu ranges from your usual appy's like nachos, wings and poutines to burgers, sandwiches, salads to pastas and entrees like butter chicken and shanghai bowl. It's a mish mash of mainstream international food offerings. The positive to this place are the prices as most entrees are under $13 and you get two pick 2 sides.

The poutine ($7.99) was yummy! Crispy medium cut fries, luscious well seasoned gravy and CHEESE CURDS (and lots of it). Easily shared by two people but sharing with 3 makes you feel less guilty!

But that's where the greatness ended. The server recommended the "Cajun chicken cheddar burger" ($12.99) so I went with that since nothing else appealed to me. It was advertised as a pan-seared blackened chicken breast with mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and aged cheddar. I enjoyed the brioche bun that it came on but that was it. The chicken breast was tender and moist but the Cajun spice rub was so salty that it overpowered everything in that burger. I like that you can choose any two sides you want with your entrees - like salad, fries, mashed potatoes etc. Though the more interesting sides like roasted veggies and sweet potato fries require add on prices. I chose the side caesar salad and fresh veggies and dip. The caesar was dressed with actual shaved parmesan along with real bacon bits but the salad was drenched in a thick layer of dressing. My friend's entree order of caesar salad was also covered in a white goop as I saw more white than green on her plate. So tell them to go light on the dressing or ask for the dressing on the side. The caesar dressing was a little weak, I like mine with a bit more garlic. The veggies and dip were nice - carrots, celery, tomatoes and cucumber with a ranch dip.

Service was friendly and efficient as our server was very prompt with refills.

Overall, I would not return for a sit down meal as this place is more of a beer and appetizer kind of place (kinda like Tavern United).

Trendy and overpriced. Just another of too many cisco truck restaurants putting a high premium on lazy self-entitled waitresses and mocha colored ambience.

I used to frequent Original Joe's in Vancouver(Broadway and Cambie), and was happy to see a location opening on Kenaston Place.

They have great food and have a great atmosphere for watching sports and it feels like a local pub.

Tried something new last on Saturday with the dill pickle wings. They are very good and definitely worth a try...(also honey garlic wings are very good too). Very good with a pint of Blonde lager!

Bartender was very friendly(it was very busy and we found ourselves at the bar but don't sit at the end of the bar where the wait staff all come by and drop their dirty glasses and plates-I hope they fix this set up), and mixed us a drink that was not on the menu..

They've only been open about 6 weeks but we will be back, often.
