As a family run business that prides themselves on that.. this is your quick and easy way to get to Vancouver Island. Small plane phobia's? I want to say don't worry but unfortunately Vancouver has been plagued by one to many aviation accidents over the years. That being said .. you only live once and are more likely to die taking the bus to the airport.
They Operate 7 seat, twin engine Piper Navajos out of South Terminal at Vancouver Airport and more recently Abbotsford Airport. You can get flight to Nanaimo, Victoria, Qualicom, and my favorite place Tofino. Depending on your time constraints this is a great way to get to Tofino. They offer a car service as well on arrival in Tofino so if you don't want to pay for an expensive rental they can shuttle you to and from the airport to where ever your staying.
      Enjoy the island, and trip!

I booked a flight from Tofino to Vancouver as part of my return trip to San Francisco. Had I have known Orca were so unreliable I would have made other arrangements. Less than an hour before my flight I was told there was too much rain and we would be bused to the other side of the island to get a flight there. Tofino is an extremely rainy place. It wasnt even raining that hard. I think there was no aircraft on the strip and they couldnt land on the wet runway.
Well this delay cost me over $500 and a day off work. I had to get a new flight and a hotel room. Because Orca is independent, I was not covered for any of these costs.
Having said that the bus driver who took us to the other airstrip was excellent and the flight to Vancouver was also excellent.
So my advice to you is Orca is great if you have lots of time and your schedule is very loose.
I'm not a pilot, but that looked like the sort of weather a decent pilot could have handled and got us all to our flights on time. Several other passengers got fucked too. It was a sober bus ride.

We considered a charter with them -- very impressed by their quotation and quick turnaround. While our plans changed and we were ultimately not able to fly with them that turn, they were incredibly responsive and very friendly. Recommended!
