I love this place. It serves the best BBT in Vancouver. Dragonball doesn't even compare. It's also got a nice interior compared to most shoddy BBT places in Vancouver like Dragonball and L&C.
I started coming here a lot when I was in high school; it was the BBT place to go for my friends and I, even though Dragonball, L&C, and Cute Pearl House are all closer to our school than Orange Corner. We were willing to make the trek for the awesome BBT. My whole family loves this place too. I also got my boyfriend hooked.
I've tried a lot of flavours of BBT here including wheat germ, taro, lychee, honey, and regular milk tea and all of them along with the tapioca pearls are so good. I love the huge mugs the BBT is served in if you dine in. The crepes are also very good and make for a nice snack.
I've also tried the squid, chocolate fondue, thick toasts, and set meals and I've never had a bad experience with the quality of the food.
The only negative thing about this place is the service. Some of the workers there have an accent or aren't very fluent in English so sometimes you have to speak clearly and slowly when ordering. If you're customizing a food or drink item, make sure to be very clear as to what you want and don't be afraid to send it back. They're usually very accommodating and only mean well.
Overall this is my go-to place for BBT and Asian snacks and I'll never have BBT anywhere else in Vancouver.
Pros: food quality, BBT, easy parking, interior, and everything else
Cons: sometimes the service
Verdict: This is my favourite BBT place of all time. I highly recommend Orange Corner to anyone and everyone. -

After a long day of playing sports I decided to dine in. We ordered: Oyster Pancake, deep fried squid tentacles, Chinese vegetables and takoyaki. Everything except for the Takoyaki (which wasn't all that good) was completely HORRIBLE ! The oyster pancake was TOO greasy, oily, flavorless and I swear I could make a better one..and even worse they put in lots of sauce to mask everything. The squid tentacles were VERY greasy, flavorless and not fresh. I can't believe they serve food like this... I guess you get what you pay for here...I will never come back for food again. We had a totally unsatisfying meal here..this place is like a joke for food.
If you want inexpensive Asian snack-food items please go to the RICHMOND NIGHT MARKET instead. WAY cheaper and you get delicious food and of course a variety of choices.
On the positive note their crepes, bubble teas and fresh squeezed fruit drinks are alright. so remember: skip the food items and go for their desserts/drinks. -

To whoever operates this cafe:
It is nutella, not CAVIAR. Can you be any stingier with your Nutella smearing? And when I request HALF SUGAR on the drinks, I mean 50% sugar, not exact same amount of sugar as if I can't tell. -

Because I come here for one thing and one thing only--their PEANUT BUTTER & CONDENSED MILK CREPE! (http://www.yelp.ca/biz...) --this review is just for this wonderful confection. For some reason this combination is really hard to find, even at other Asian creperies I've been to. (The PB&CM combo on toast just isn't as good. Besides, I can make that myself, but I don't have a crepe maker at home!) They make it just PERFECT here.
My 4 key judging criteria are:
- chewy (not crispy) crepe
- batter that is slightly sweet and not too salty (especially for dessert crepes)
- just the right amount of filling - not too much or too little (just like Goldilocks!)
- perfect ratio of peanut butter and condensed milk
When I was a student at UBC and would work late in the lab, I would always get this crepe for dessert after a dinner in Kerrisdale. Now that I don't live in Vancouver anymore, every time I come back to visit I get my mom to order one to go before she picks me up from the airport! -

I came here a lot with my friends when I used to go to a high school around here.
Food/Drinks: I had crepes once and they were ok. They were fresh and warm...I think it's hard to mess up a simple nutella crepe. I usually have bubble tea here. My favourites are mango green tea, milk tea, and mango slush or smoothie (I don't remember). Not too bad but milk tea would be better at Cute Pearl (also in Kerrisadale, if you are willing to walk)
Service: there are usually two people working...it wasn't very full when I went so service was good enough.
Ambiance: There is a very high ceiling but the store is actually very narrow. There are about 4 tables and a sofa/lounger seat at the back. I think it can get quite cramped if you go during peak hours (lunch and after school)
Overall, not too bad, but there are better places in Kerrisdale if you are willing to walk. -

I come here for two things:
1. Chicken nuggets - not your McDonald's standard fare, no, not at all. These are the yummiest bits of chicken, deep fried, crispy, sweet, spicy, and salty. So tasty yet so bad for you.
2. Tokoyaki crepe - If you like those tokoyaki balls, you will love this crepe. It has the sauce and flakes that they put on top of the tokoyaki balls plus chicken and cheese, and it makes for another sooooooo-tasty-but-i-can-feel-my-arteries-hating-m e moment.
Service is sub-par though. It takes a while for the bubble tea (of all things) to come out when they aren't even busy, and we've had to ask for our food when they forgot to put in our order. But the food makes it worth it. -

It's a typical bubbletea place. They open late, it's good for late snacks. This is the type of place where you get together with your friends to get a bubbletea or two and a few taiwanese dishes and chat for hours without any servers trying to kick you out or interrupting. This place gets busier during night time. Food and bubbletea are not bad (similar to Dragon Ball Tea house near Oak) at a good price.
