One of my favourite places in the city by far. The staff, the atmosphere and most importantly, the tea is amazing. Thank you for bringing something like this to McKenzie and close to my house!

Simply memorable and a lovely break from the world.

I found myself here after a meeting in the "Circle". It was a delight. I was directed to my matcha latte and even got to join in on some incredible trials of new lines.

A great spot, worth the neighbourhood walk or dip into McKenzie Towne as you need.

PS. If you are looking for a tea truly for you, go here, I am sure they can help you source one.

This is a great tea shop.  I know that you are supposed to go to trendy areas like Kensington or Brag Creek for these types of places but I was lucky enough to happen upon this shop in an effort to find some good loose tea.  I have sat in tea shops across USA and Canada and listened to tea aficionados about the wonderful life that is "being a tea-totaller".  I have sat for hours trying to understand broken English in Seattle, I have walked for blocks on Vancouver Island through the shops of Victoria and Nanaimo, I have searched out tea shops in Toronto, I have enjoyed local flavors in Costa Rica and I have struggled in Calgary to find a fun shop that has great tea and great tea knowledge.  I enjoy tea, much as I enjoy coffee or food for that matter.  But what I enjoy more is listening to a purveyor explain where a tea came from, why it is the best tea, what folklore is attached to the tea and then trying it.  It always entertains me to watch people who are crazily passionate about tea.  It often makes for a great day sitting and listening while enjoying tea.
The Oolong tea shop has one of these such people.  It is worth stopping to listen to their manager Lars and enjoying his passion for tea.  You may even find something you like but even if you don't you will have been entertained and probably enlightened.  This is like bowling.  Not really mainstream cool but what a great guilty pleasure.
