Review from Adam G.
1. Beautiful interiors with full kitchen (just missing stove) but including dishwasher etc..
2. Super friendly and helpful staff - people seem to like working there.
3. Young, hip, modern feel.
4. Great value for money - 30% for any stay of 3 nights or more made this cost us 130/night.
5. Gym and pool.
Downsides:
1. No wifi in rooms. -

I stayed here with a few friends on the 43rd floor and the room was absolutely amazing.
Decent king sized bed, a couch that turns into another bed, an awesome bathroom, TV, closets, great room service. It's defintely a luxury experience.
The view from the windows is urban beauty. At night, you just want to put on a Drake song or Kanye's "Flashing LIghts" and feel like you're on top of the world.
The price for one night and such a great room is actually decent. They also have a bar downstairs in the lobby.
This would be a good hotel for going somewhere downtown, celebrating a birthday or an anniversary, or trying to get your freak on with your partner.
Overall, if you can afford it, the upper rooms at least, are truly worth it. -
Review from Harvey W.
No wifi unless you're in the lobby. $9.95 Ethernet cable in room & even if you buy that, the hotel blocks everything except basic HTML requests. So no Skype, video services, or streaming anything over the overpriced Internet. This is totally unacceptable from a hotel trying to be 4 stars.
4 star hotels typically come with bathtubs too, not just tiny yellow shower stalls and thin, scratchy white towels. No robes, no hair dryer, the entire bathroom is of Holiday Inn quality. Which is fine if you're Holiday Inn - not trying to be pretentious like this place is. Front desk staff not outwardly rude, but mildly snarky and definitely not friendly or welcoming.
Our room was quiet and the a/c worked well. Bed was moderately comfortable. This is a fine business quality hotel but not truly a 4 star hotel. -

Great part of town. I know that I probably got one of the few rooms like this, but where my window should be, boasting the "great city view", I had a 7' wall, the small windows above. Worse than that though was the fact that there was no wifi. Only a cable in your room, which of course does not fit into my iPad...for me, not so great an experience.

This was a beautiful hotel, and the room I stayed in was nicely furnished. The sheets in the bed were very nice and everything was clean. I got a good deal that I found on their website, perhaps because I booked last minute and they wanted to fill up some rooms. There is a little shop on the main floor that is open late and carried many things that I needed but couldn't get elsewhere, such as toiletries.
The only thing I didn't like was that the people at the front desk were not that friendly. They seemed tired/bored/not amused compared to the staff at the Pantages hotel, who were really cheery. -
Review from Megan G.
Great central location in Downtown Toronto. Rooms can vary, but we booked a standard room/suite and it was a very modern/contemporary style. 2 televisions in the room, including a sitting area. All rooms come with a refrigerator, sink, microwave and dishwasher. Views were very nice, even if you re likely to be looking right at another skyscraper out your window.
Great hotel for the Toronto Film Festival, and they used to have a festival rate, but I believe these rates are no longer available.
Only drawbacks are that you can find cheaper hotels in simliar areas, but for the price it's pretty reasonable. Also, for whatever reason we had about 3 fire alarms in 1 night, but I attribute this to idiot guests, and can't really fault the hotel. -

This is a great hotel with amazing views of the city. The location is perfect as it is directly connected to PATH, Toronto's massive underground system. You could go to the Union Station or Dundas Square and Eaton Centre without stepping outside.
The service is excellent and very friendly.
Finally all the rooms come with all the amenities plus even a dishwasher and washer and dryer. -
Review from El G.
I've stayed here many, many many times. The only reason I stay here is because we have a corporate rate. Lucky for me, I discovered that I can get cheaper hotels, so this will be the last time I stay here.
I just got back from Toronto and have a few things to say.
When I got in, the air conditioner in my room wasn't working. They fixed it right away, but the repairman said that this is happening because they fixed the air earlier. I would have hoped that this was done prior to guests arriving.
I found someone else's socks under the bed and a towel on the floor. Really? Seriously? I called to let them know and the front desk person, while apologetic, didn't send someone up to remove said socks. I ponied up and did it. Whatever.
Look, my view this time around was an inner view to a hallway, but I've had ridiculous views in the past. In the hotel industry, your service is only as good as the guest's last stay. And this guest will not be returning. -
Review from Jonathan C.
I stayed here for two nights. The front desk was very friendly. I had requested a high floor facing the lake when I made my online reservation and they fulfilled my request.
Some of my minor complaints. Although the room was billed as a "suite," it was a bit smaller than I had expected. The bathroom didn't have a tub, just a basic shower. I tried using the resistance pool on the second day I was there but it was not working. Also, the "free" internet in the lobby was slow at times and simply not working at other times. There's no reason why higher end hotels should be nickel and diming guests on in-room internet access. Many two star motels provide free wifi. Why can't a four star hotel include it?
Overall, though, the hotel was located in a very convenient location, the rooms were clean and had decent light, and the staff was friendly. We made use of the fitness center, which has cardio machines, free weights, benches, mats, male/female saunas and locker rooms. -

Now THIS is a hotel. Every room I've been in has had a breath taking view. It is conveniently located near the financial district.
The one bedroom suites really feel like home. They are modern but not cold. Very nicely decorated.
The "Premium" room is also very nice. The beds are very new and not too firm which is sometimes the case with newer hotels. The service has always been impeccable. They are very fast to get the car from the garage. There was an incident of lost dry cleaning and they paid for the mistake without hesitation. (On a quite expensive suit jacket!)
If you have an extended trip to Toronto this is the hotel for you. Don't even bother going anywhere else. -

I was contacted by the GM who responded very quickly to my feedback. So management does care. But the funny part is that I want a great experience when I stay at the hotel; not afterwards. And since they don't offer wifi, it will be hard to stay there again.

Review from Philine v.
I had a studio room here for 2 nights, and must say I was very happy with the hotel. Service was excellent, the room comfortable, had a lovely little alcove where the desk was placed in front of the corner windows, which looked out over the harborfront and from where I could see the top of the CN Tower. Just a lovely place to sit and work! As is the case with most hotels, the breakfast was expensive, but there was a fair amount on offer (although the scrambled eggs were rubbery) and it was self-serve buffet. The drinks my friend and I had at the bar after returning from our evening out were good.
The location is handy - walking distance to Massey Hall and the Eaton Center, a subway stop outside the door, and access to the underground walkways. I'd definitely consider staying here again. -

Don't go to One King West!!
First time here and I will never go back.
WHY IT WAS HORRIBLE:
1. No Valet service upon arrival, had to go inside and ask for valet even though they're suppose to wait outside according to the front desk
2. Check in took a long time, was second in line and took about 20 minutes.
3.Called for towels, never received any, even when we called 2 more times
4. Called for toiletries such as soap etc 3 times within 4 hours and never received anything. Finally went downstairs to the front desk and had to ask in person.
5. Upon checking out, we called the valet 25 minutes before so that they would have time to get our car. When we went downstairs, and we still had to wait AN HOUR AND A HALF! Almost 2 hours in total!!! What was worse is that other people were getting their cars even though they came down after us!!!
6. We asked to speak with the GM and all she said was that "it was a busy day and it's not their fault" WORST SERVICE EVER!
You would think you are getting value for your money, but you're not! I would advise you to go somehwere else such as The Cosmopolitan down the street. Only went to One King West because The Cosmopolitan was sold out.
PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE -

I stayed here for New Year's eve and noticed they changed their room service options. They have about 6 late night items and 6 breakfast items. And instead of being served the meal hot and fresh, they send you a box of your food that you can apparently "heat up" in your room's microwave. The thought of having a microwave-cooked fajita turned me off. Plus, breakfast is brought up in the box the night before, you place it in your fridge and then re-heat when you wake up. I guess for some, like business travelers, it's more convenient but I go to a hotel for the luxury and service, not convenience. It lost a star from me for that.

Review from Mike S.
Toronto, ON
I just recently stayed at the Suites at One King West and I was very impressed. I've been in my fair share of hotels and I can honestly say this one was right up there at the top. When you first come into the lobby you feel as though you've walked into a modern day version of the past. By that I mean that all the amenities and service from the thirties are there but you have flat screens and computers. The room we stayed in was lovely, not huge but comfortable. This particular room was set up for long term guests so not only did it have a kitchenette but it also had a washer and dryer in the room. The best part by far though was the view. We were on the 41st floor and you could see forever. The hostess gave me the choice of higher or lower and if you enjoy a view the obvious choice is higher. The one minor complain I had was the shower head. Now bear in mind I am a bit fussy about my showers but this particular head was too small and weak for me. The rest of the room was incredible though and if you are waffling between hotels in the city I highly recommend this one.

Gorgeous hotel accomodations in the middle of downtown. The King subway stop is directly outside the front doors, making it really easy to get where you're going even if the weather is lousy. There's a very cool former bank vault decor thing going on. Our suite had a mini-dishwasher, a mini-fridge, a coffee maker, and a tea kettle. There was also a small desk area with phenomenal views of the water and the city. Great place to stay if you're in Toronto and want to be downtown.

Stayed here some time back because they were offering a really good deal for a weekend stay that included parking and in room breakfast, which is a bonus because most Toronto hotels charge anywhere from $10 to $25 for parking a day.
The room was a suite on one of the top floors with south view (so looking out towards the water). I love the windows, floor to ceiling windows which gives you a beautiful view at night and in the morning.
The check-in service was a little slow but other than that the room had everything you need, all in working order.
Also, location is fairly good as there is a lot of things to see and eat in the area.
