Andrew and Heidi are deserve many, many hugs.

They're incredibly careful with their scans and prints and took me through, literally, photo by photo of my scans to see if I was happy with them.

I love my passport photo! Of course it is a regular passport photo, but somehow the print is clean and the photo quality is great! Love it! The female owner who took my picture is very charming and makes you feel comfortable. They also do other stuff like head shots etc I think. This place is right next to a subway and Sermeno's (mex restaurant). There is a parking lot and maybe around 15 mins wait for the passport photos.

    Highly recommended!

I look like a freakin' movie star in my passport photo. How is this possible? Clearly, I went to the best photo place in town! I also spent way too much time picking out the right shirt and the right makeup to wear, but that's not the point...

I had a great experience at One Hour Photo Avenue. The woman who took my photos was professional and motivated to make me look good, which is exactly what you want when you're going to be stuck with a photo for 10 years. The whole thing took less than 25 minutes and I ended up with two photos that I am proud to be identified with.

I found this place on yelp & I got a roll of film developed today.

Heidi & Andrew were so caring & helpful. Andrew even took the time to see what was wrong with my camera (came to conclusion that it was fine).

they do great work & I'll definitely be a regular here!

I will be brief, because they were so quick and pleasant and professional and fantastic!

I needed to get passport photos. Checked Yelp.  This was the convenient location with the shining reviews.

Parking was available in their lot.  The initial impression is deceiving.  Once through the front door, I found myself in a warm and professional setting.

They were attentive, taking my order within minutes, and minutes later they were taking my photos.  She adjusted the lighting and flash slightly to get a better photo, as I have pale skin.  Then, I was offered the choice of photos.

She said they would be ready in 15 minutes...they were ready in 10. The photos were great. She was very professional and very nice to work with!

    Overall impression:
Fantastic, reasonably priced, well equipped place with knowledgeable, professional, friendly, kind personnel. They even stayed half an hour past the closing hours to finish my wife's photos.

    Parking:
There is a parking plaza shared with the other businesses, about 12 spaces.

    Location:
On the northwest corner of Santa Monica and Wilcox.

    Customer Service:
Attentive and forthcoming. We took around twenty photos and adjusted the lighting until my wife was happy with the results. She had just gotten her hair done for this picture so we were really happy for the attention.

    Product:
We were allowed to also buy the photo on a CD for $5. We had asked to have the picture emailed to save the environmental impact of the CD but this not possible.

    People:
Heidi was the kind photographer who took the shot.

I absolutely love Andrew and Heidi of One Hour Photo Avenue. They have taken the time to develop a warm and professional relationship with me, and I would much rather pay them intermittent visits than some of my own family members.

I have been a customer of theirs for about three years now, and unlike most relationships, i have not been disillusioned or disappointed once. I don't think I will ever find another photo lab that could compare. Please read my past reviews for more info on the quality of their work.

The name of their business is a little misleading because they are actually a very professional and knowledgeable photo lab, completely unlike those drugstore one-hour photo joints that are run by a poorly trained staff.

Andrew, from what I gather, is a photographer himself and cares a lot about the craft and his equipment/machines.

Seriously, process a roll or get some prints from them-- it will change the way you see photography!

Going to any business in Hollywood brings about a concern for parking. One hour photo is located on the corner of Santa Monica and gower and has a parking lot - WIN. My sister needed passport photos for a pakistani passport so I yelped this place and brought her here. We were welcomed by very knowledgable and friendly people who made sure to look at the specifications for the correct size. $14 for a four pack of passport photos that's amazing I paid $30 for mine at some other place in glendale bull***t ... I feel so ripped off but I'm glad I found this place  ... Hope this helps .. Happy yelping!!

My husband just walked by and asked what I was doing---his response to my answer? "God you love that place!"  That's a good place to start.

This lab is the real deal disguised as a 1 hour photo shop.  Their work, pricing, customer service, attention to detail is stellar.  I want to redo their logo and slap some slate on the counter top, add a few comfy chairs, some big gorgeous prints on the wall and give them the respect that they deserve.  But maybe it's better this way.  There's no attitude, no inflated prices, and there's time. oh my! time to chat about photography, my dog that they always remember, and gasp! other things in life.  Their work is always just as good as any popular lab, maybe better.

Please support your local businesses, genuine people who care about your photography the way you care about your family photos and client orders.  Thanks to another Chase Bank (another hole in head), they are moving to Santa Monica and Gower. If you're just finding them, go there! If you already go, follow them!  Your photos are worth it and so are they.

I am a luddite, which means I still shoot film, and have been popping out a roll a week for the last seven years or so. During that time, I've gone through tons and tons of labs for my processing, including drug stores (cheap and fast, but not the freshest colors), one hour photos (potentially good, potentially mediocre), and pro labs (expensive). In all that time, One Hour Photo Ave. has been the best balance of quality, price and turnaround time.

I first heard of them when I realized that the pro lab I was using was outsourcing to One Hour Photo Ave when they couldn't fulfill orders. If One Hour Photo Ave was good enough to do work for a pro lab, they were good enough for me. Indeed, the prints and scans I've gotten from them have always blown me away with clarity, richness and neutrality of colors. Sometimes when other customers get prints I peek over their shoulder at their photos and they're always beautiful. The size of scan I get when ordering a Photo CD is of much higher resolution than I've gotten anywhere else for the price. The husband and wife team who run the little shop are so kind and accommodating and will work with you if you have a special request (try that with the snotty pro labs). And the prices are beyond reasonable.

Now that I've moved away I lament not having a lab like One Hour Photo Ave. near me. Once in a while I'll still make the extra drive to them when I get disappointed by everyone else.

    P.s. They don't do E-6 processing.

The owners, Heidi and Andrew continue to impress me with their warm, honest  professionalism.

How is it this tiny tiny tiny shop, can scan and process your film with so much more clarity, proper cropping, depth and resolution BETTER than your local pro lab just down the street?

It's quite simple, because they care about your work and about photography.

I was taking mostly personal photos here to process, and decided to try letting them process an actual job. boy, was i really impressed. impressed to know they were honest and upfront that it would take an extra day to finish because they were working through the weekend and wanted the best results.

not only was the job done timely and accurately, but every roll of high resolution scans was on it's own dvd completely with plastic jewel case and stored in a nice pristine photo storage box.

they've really won me over repeatedly now.

I had just had my old Nikon SLR fixed and took a few rolls on a road trip across the country and took them to One Hour Phone Avenue upon the recommendation of Yelp.

Imagine how upset I was to find out that my shutter wasn't properly firing and only 10 of the over 70 photos I took came out!  Since I couldn't take it back to my repairman in Chicago, the owner of this shop told me to bring my camera in and he'd look at it to see if it was easily fixable.  He spent a good 25 minutes looking at my camera and even developed a test roll.  Turned out, there was a little something stuck in the shutter and the problem was easily fixed by manually moving the shutter to loosen it.  He refused to let me pay for the test roll of film, so I bought a three pack for his troubles.  Since then, I've always taken my film to him and am so happy with the prints.  They are perfect and not as expensive as the high-end places.

Great prints and amazing, personal customer service.  You'll be happy to give your money to this business.

You can call me old fashioned, but I'm a person who still uses film.
There arn't that many places that develop film anymore, (that do a good job) and a friend of mine told me about this place.
While I was there to drop off a few rolls, there were some customers
there who had their passport photos taken. They were so happy!!!
I had remembered I needed some too, so I decided to have my pictures taken... and WOW!!  I was so glad I did. They looked so nice.. the best passport  pictures I've ever seen. I mean.. some might think they are just passport picutures.. but you get stuck with them for 10 years right? =) The price was very reasonable as well.
I'm going to take all my family for their passport pics too.
The pictures that they have developed from the rolls looked really good too. I'm definitely coming back here for all my photo needs.
(Just to let you know, they also make prints from digital.)

I was so happy to find a local photo lab that would process E-6, B&W, and 120 film just down the street from me. I was even happier when I saw the results. Amazing! Beautiful colors, beautiful prints. Reasonable prices and turnaround (about 5 days). I will definitely be back. Super impressed with the quality.

Went in on a Saturday afternoon and got my passport photos taken & printed within 15 minutes and the sweet owners let me pick my favorite photo and made sure I was happy before walking out:)  Their price, 2 for $8.95 is awesome and they gave me 2 extra photos to keep.  The quality is so much better than any other photo places I've tried for these purposes.

Thanks to Sean's raving review I checked this place out and now it's my go-to place to process my 120 film. The owners are very kind, great customer service. Sometimes they have really amazing turnarounds for processing. There has been an occasion where they processed 3 rolls of 120 within an hour. Scans have always turned out great and they take good care of your film. There's a lightbox there that you can use as well (I can never wait till I get home). It's the most affordable and reliable place around town for 120. They also process black and white.

Parking is easy; they're on the corner of Santa Monica & Gower in a gated lot for the little 2 story strip mall, along with a Subway sandwiches so it's hard to miss. I've never had to park on the street.

I am a fine art and documentary photographer who still shoots 95% film, mostly medium format, and have used almost every lab in Los Angeles. I have been taking my film to Heidi and Andrew for about 9 months and will never go anywhere else again. The care and precision they put into their work is unparalleled. The scans I receive are incredible, and I have almost no post editing in my work because of their attention to detail. They use Frontier scanners, which are the gold standard, their turn around time and cost is about 1/3 of most pro labs who use Frontier scanners, they deliver TIFFS and Jpegs on a cd, and the scans are 99.9% dust free. I consider Heidi and Andrew very important partners in my work and hope they are in business a very long time.

Decided to come here based on Yelp reviews and very happy I did. Ordered prints from DSLR files. Friendly rep checked files for the size I wanted (5x7), who caught a crop snafu but quickly had a remedy. Prints had reasonable turn-around time of second business day, after coming in close to end-of-business. Final prints look fantastic; they're matte finish with white borders.

I just got back from picking up passport photos. This place is great!!
A year ago I had to get a passport photo for a visa and went to a place on Larchmont. The picture was dreadful. Now I need a photo to put on my Credit Cards and looked to yelp to find the best place.

I cannot say enough about the service and friendly staff. I had four pictures taken and got to pick the best one. They set up lighting so my skin did not look a pale shade of grey this time.  You can also get  a digital copy of your photo.

I saw a copy of the photo my husband was going to put on his cards and immediately marched him to the One Hour Photo Avenue. He took one of  the best pictures I have ever seen of him.

The prices are great. If you need a passport photo it is worth the drive and the overcrowded parking lot.

The owners here are great. I tried to beat the clock and get my picture printed just before they closed on a Friday. When we opened the disk, we realized I saved the picture at a low res. The owner told me to go ahead and run home to get the SD card from my camera.  He offered to keep the store open after closing time for me! When does that ever happen? They did a great job and smiled the whole time. I definitely will be back.

The only thing better than the photos they take here is the customer service.  I came here to take some simple passport photos based on the loving Yelp reviews.  The quality was so good, I came back to take a professional-style photo for my LinkedIn profile.  When I told the woman my plan, she volunteered to expand the size a little and give me a extra print.  All for $10!  This place is the best.

    FANTASTIC PASSPORT PHOTOS!!

Soooooooo glad I googled and found this shop!  Had previously taken passport photos at Walgreens or CVS and they were shockingly horrible.    Guess I'm too vein to drag around a passport with a picture like that for 10 years.  Just knew there had to be something better.  Well, there is!!  ONE HOUR PHOTO AVENUE on La Brea and Santa Monica Blvd!!

Heidi, (co-owner), was a DARLING and didn't make me feel foolish for my vanity.  She was so very patient and accomodating.  Took several shots and we chose the best one together.  It was ready in 30 minutes AND the picture was FANTASTIC!!  I'm not exaggerating. This is the place to get Passport Photos and I'm quite sure anything else you want developed or copied.  I know I'll be back and I don't live very close.  Could not give a higher recommendation.  Thank you so very much Heidi and Andrew!!
