I'd always heard good things about the Omni but never stayed at one until this week. I came out here on business and stayed 3 nights. All the hotel staff I crossed paths with were very nice whether it was the valets, maids or front desk people. If you're coming here or any other Omni, be sure to enroll in the free Select Guest program. It gets you free wifi (normally $10/day), clothes pressing and shoe shining. Staying 10 nights gets you one free. You can select your preference of high/low floor and close/far from elevator which they actually honored unlike some other hotels.

I haven't spent a lot of time in Dallas, but be sure to have a car or prepare to spend for cab because there's not really anything to do nearby. I found myself travelling at least a few miles in any direction to find some decent food or bars to entertain myself at in the evenings.

Upon check-in, they had my room keys ready to go; very quick and simple process which is nice on a long travel day. I ended up finishing work a day early and they let me check out hours past check-out time without giving me a hard time about it. It's the little things :)

I was at this Omni for a wedding so it was really convenient for my purposes but otherwise its in the middle of nowhere. That may be more an indictment of Dallas than this hotel but I am not sure. The room was big and very high end. The staff was polite and the parking was close by and plentiful.

This hotel is so great.  For so many reasons.  I have to stay in Iriving, Texas every so often and I always stay at an Omni.  They have a great loyalty program.  One of the best I've seen (and I am a member of many).  Good rate.  Free shuttles that are Cadillac Escalades or the like....Complimentary cheese and fruit in your room, turn-down service, free internet and a free nights stay depending on how many nights you stay.   Its a great program and a great hotel for a business traveller.

Stayed here for a conference over the summer - got a great rate of $119 I think.  You can say location is either great or not so great.  Almost half way between DFW and Love, it's close to neither.  Traffic during rush hour could take longer than 20 minutes from either airport.

The Omni is definitely a notch above most of the ordinary Hilton properties.  The room was nicely appointed, if not super spacious, with flat screen and good noise insulation.  Gym was sort of in a funky corner - I don't care about that, just as long as it's not crowded.  Well-trained, courteous staff.  If I'm not tied by my Hhonor membership and Gold VIP, I'd stay at properties like this one a lot more.

I attended a wedding here in the main restaurant.  The food was pretty good but the layout for the wedding was inconvenient.

The main bridal party and family members are seated around the main stage so they can see the bride and groom.  However, the rest of the guests are located at seats that are all the way on the side and they can neither see nor hear anything going on during the reception.

The suite on the top floor is AMAZING though!  It's HUGE and has an exterior balcony that overlooks the freeway.  The bathroom is huge, the bedroom is huge, there is a bar and living room.  Perfect for the wedding after party!

I thought the Omni was pretty nice and reminded me a bit of the Venetian...due to all the marble.  The hotel was clean and modern and the room was nice - everything was clean and functioning.  I liked the restaurant area (despite the limited food options), as well as the pool area - very relaxing set-up. The gym was decent and had a variety of machines, sauna, hot tub, and towels.

Staff was friendly and helpful, and the location is convenient.

The hotel is wonderful.  The check in staff were friendly and helpful.  The room we got was immaculate and decent sized.  I like the fact that the restaurant(s) prices were not over priced.

The only thing that keeps me from giving a higher rating was the fact that house keeping kept knocking on our door from 9am every half hour, even after informing them each time that we were checking out at 12pm.  The fact that they were out in the hall, talking really loudly made it impossible to work on a project I had to do.

Although The Omni is a wonderful hotel, the housekeeping staff kind of made our stay end on a sour note.

I spent the better part of 6 months at this hotel in 2007, and very much enjoyed the quality-to-value.

I looked forward to the opportunity of a return visit last week, and was not disappointed! I came in off an early flight, and the front desk had just put together my quick check in kit, so I was able to walk straight to my room through the gi-normous entrance hall.

The room was less luxurious than I remember, however, it still had a flat-screen (spankin' new for a hotel in '06), and an incredibly comfortable bed. No hall noises throughout the night, and the temp controls, faucets, and shower all did their jobs admirably (I've had problems with this at other hotels).

The breakfast buffet was arranged a bit differently, but the quality was great, including several gluten-free options, as well as the locally-sourced ingredients I was really happy to have noticed a few years ago. Its truly impressive to find a big corporate chain not only promoting sustainability, but actually practicing it.

I didn't get to try their seasonal dinner menu this time, as we returned late from a business dinner. But we stopped off for a couple of rounds in the bar. Friendly and patient 'tenders helped us out with some martinis and a few jokes.

2 items of note: parking is kinda lame: If you don't want to spring for a valet, you have to go just past the hotel to the garage, park there, and walk in through the side door. Not terrible, just something to be aware of. Also, make sure to ask for the IBM rate! They have a big facility just across the freeway...

All in all, I am still very pleased with the Omni Park West. Now if I can just get some better pricing at their other locations...

I loved everything about this hotel. Stayed 3 nights and attended my best friends wedding here also. I LOVED it and will come back to this hotel for sure when I visit Dallas. The resturaunt made awesome drinks & nachos were SO good! Thanks for making my stay so great :)

One of the better hotels in town without going to (or paying for) any of the ritzy ones. I found the customer service excellent, the room fairly quiet and clean with nice decor. Very prompt housekeeping staff when I requested more coffee. Location is a little bit isolated - there are no restaurants or stores within walking distance, but there is a large complex of retail and restaurants very close by at MacArthur Blvd and 635/LBJ.

We stayed at this Omni about a month and a half ago.  We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.  We took advantage of a special (they usually have several to choose from) that they posted on their website.

We were greeted by the bellman and checked in promptly at the front desk, where the staff was friendly also. You are not obligated to use valet parking, and they do not punish you for that by making you walk forever to get to the elevator (like they do in many casino hotels)!

The parking garage, the lobby, the general hotel area, their restaurant, and our room were all clean.  We did not get the extra towels that I requested at check-in through online, and we had a lamp bulb out in our room.  However when we called about these, both were taken care of within 10 minutes.

We enjoyed eating at Dover's Grille when we did not feel like driving for food.  (On a side note, you can drive back east and many restaurants are located nearby within a 5 minute drive).  The restaurant food might be pricey for others, but we found them cheaper than many other hotel restaurants.  They treated us well and are accepting of children, despite their formal look.

The hotel is about a 20 minute drive all directions to Dallas attractions.  It is located in a quiet area, so if you enjoy quietness, stay here.

Don't forget to sign up for their free Omni Select Guest.  You'll get 2 complimentary drinks for up to 2 people every morning, a newspaper of your choice (several to choose from), one clothing item pressed (turn in night before and I think there's a limit), shoe shine (again a limit), and here you can make extra requests for your room.

This was a great hotel to be put up in for a work (non-profit!) conference. The non-profit I worked for has a special relationship nationally with the Omni's so I believe the rates were reasonable too. This was a great hotel to stay at for free!

My hotel room was very comfy with a super plush bed, big TV, fancy bathroom, and lots of space. The lobby and lobby bars were also very well done. The hotel bars were surprisingly a lot of fun! The centrally-located bar was perfect for a chill happy hour and the bigger bar/restaurant on the back was more fun later in the evening.

Our conference rooms were very comfortable, well lit, and spacious. At these conferences, we were always served a TON of food and this food was really good. I enjoyed the mexican buffet lunch, super snacks such as mini Ben & Jerry's ice creams, and abundant beverages (diet red bulls, Starbucks coffee, tea, diet coke, etc etc.). The room service was good and efficient too and my meal in the hotel restaurant was yummy as well.

The hotel also run a convenient shuttle to nearby areas which is important since the hotel is in the random Irving rather than Dallas itself.

Some elements of this hotel are four star, some elements are three, but since I can't give a half star for the review I'm rounding up.

If you visited this hotel in the 90s, they've redecorated it, making it seem grand with a marble-lined entrance.  The rooms have that solid feeling, where there's a silence and stillness when you enter.  The beds have some sort of down action comforter.

The price is in line with a three-and-a-half star hotel, especially if you bargain price it.  Free wifi in the rooms.  Decent hotel service.  A small bar downstairs, and a large dining area.

They do excellent business for themselves. I pass by there daily and see all the tour busses and limos parked out front.  To that end, parking can be tough unless you park in the side garage.

The location is out in the middle of nowhere, off LBJ on the way to the airport but outside the main part of the city.  I like that, as traffic isn't as bad as some downtown hotels.  It's an easy drive here from there airport.

However, nightlife in the area is pretty much nonexistent.  If you don't want to eat at the Omni restaurant, you're going to have to drive five minutes up the street to MacArthur, then take your pick from corporate-food central.

Overall, I like this hotel. It stands on its own as the only high-rise in the area.  Prices are decent. Staff is friendly. Beds are downy.  Rooms are quiet.

Stayed here for the first time, but not the first for the Omni in Dallas (first stay was at the Omni Mandalay...but I digress).

True to the Omni form, the lobby was for the most part, immaculate, with a stunning floral arrangement centered amongst everything.  Being in Dallas, everyone was pretty friendly, and I definitely would recommend the Breakfast Tacos in the hotel restaurant, as opposed to the Breakfast Buffet.

With that said...why the 2 star rating?  Well, I am sure this may have been specific to my room, but the room was rather dark and didn't contain a full length mirror.  I was there for a national meeting so mirrors are of the utmost importance.

I know my travel profile does state my preference for a room with double beds (I'm trying to figure why I did this to myself, since I always travel alone), but these have got to be the smallest double beds I've encountered.  And for a person that is pretty small in stature....a bit too high for my liking (did I need to ask for a step stool?)

The iron in my room was broken and honestly...whatever happened to the complimentary slippers?  Then again, I'm wondering now if all hotels no longer provide that, and it requires a phone call to room service.

    Sigh.

Generally, the hotel isn't bad, but for what I needed in terms of general amenities and nothing luxurious, the Omni Parkwest just quite didn't cut it.  Rumor has it that our company has a great rate at the Four Seasons...so maybe that's where I'll stay next time.

I stayed here once for work. Check in was nice and easy. The rooms are set up perfectly for business travelers, and the rooms are little larger than regular hotel rooms. The outlets to plug stuff in are embedded into the work desk, so you don't have to get on all fours to find a plug..which was real nice. The food in the restaurant is ok, but nothing spectacular. The bottled beers are $5.50 each. They even have a "New Wine Bar" which is in the hallway to the restaurant. They specialize in new wines from all over the world. They have new wines come in all the time. They decorate really nicely for Christmas, and the hotel is right off the highway so easy access to many locations in the Dallas area.

I would recommend for general and biz-travelers.

My husband and I have stayed at the omni twice. Once in '06 for a Christmas getaway, we booked online for a two night stay for $250. The second time our wedding anniv '08 we got a excellent rate  online thru hotwire which was about third of the advertised rate.
The hotel itself was very well kept and beautiful. The room itself has a large flat screen tv. The view was great. Concierges are very helpful and friendly . The hotel has a restaurant, snack shop, bar, and a great pool with a veranda .They also have room service. Everything seemed really clean. Parking is also free.

Nice rooms and facilities. I was here for a wedding and we took advantage of almost everything they have to offer. We used the major banquet hall and it was nice, very large area with plenty of room for 350+ guests, a dance floor, and two bars. The hotel bar was large as well, fifty of us went there after the reception until they shut down at 1am. The pool is great, the only complaint with that is that it is on the access road side for 635 so there was spill over noise. I really liked the room, I got a single with a king size bed and had plenty of room for a dozen people in it for the after party, management wasn't to excited about that but oh well. They have a gift shop that sells Starbucks brew that I thought was a little overpriced but what can you expect from a hotel gift shop. The Park West is conveniently located right off of 635 and is only a few minutes from 35 and about 15 from DFW. If I didn't already live in the area this would be one of the hotels I'd stay at when I came to Dallas.

The location is great--near the freeway, but somewhat isolated. Free parking is always a plus! Walking through the heavily windowed lobby is lovely when it's sunny outside. The rooms are nice and quiet, updated just a few years ago. I've eaten at the restaurant several times. It's very good, but a bit on the pricey side. Try the breakfast tacos! As usual, the Omni's employees are very helpful and friendly.

I am a big fan of Omni Hotels.  We got the American Express Family Package which was a great deal, and we got setup with a corner room which was roomy and nicely appointed.  Service at any Omni is always top-notch, and this hotel was no different.  The only reason why my rating is not higher is because it's located far from the city-center.
