Review from Kat F.
Olympia Fruit Market has the NUMBER ONE selection of avocados in the entire city. I defy you to find better, more perfectly ripe and buttery avocados anywhere. No more waiting around for days on end for your avocados to ripen so you can have a bowl of guacamole.
They're also really affordable at $0.99-$1.29 each, making it an ideal place to buy multiple avocados for a party guac. Seriously! The owners know it too - lots of people have complimented them on their avocado selection! -

Pretty much the only great thing about this market is the sidewalk. If it wasn't for all their rock-bottom fruit specials -- like blueberries for the cost of a penny and your left pinky toenail clipping -- I'm not sure I would ever enter this store unless I lived in the area.
I always, always am captivated by those stupid berries and fruit -- though they're probably cheap for a reason. Then I step into the store and my rose-coloured glasses are whisked away. For a place that calls itself a fruit market, the selection isn't wide and not altogether good quality, either.
It feels like a grandparents' den inside, and not really in that nostalgic sort of way -- more like the unorganized "Hey, Johnny, you like plums? How about this one with worm holes in it" way.
I've only walked in here a couple of times and turned around almost shortly thereafter. Great, great staff, from what I've seen, but not much here unless you're strictly looking for convenience.
