Last Saturday, we had a Bday Lunch at Olla Wine Bar. While we were waiting, we sat in bar and ordered the cappuccino, and one sip of that brought me back to Italy. What a nice cup of cappuccino, you can tell its made from a strong and perfectly brew espresso with smooth n silky milk foam on top.
The deco is nice with lots of small details. I love their solid wood table and the citrus ice water jars, my bf love the vintage world map that's put inside the wall right across the bar table. The waitress was so attentive and sweet without being too overwhelming, the execative chef stop by and say hi to us too.
And the most important part, the food. Everything is nicely presented, and very delicious. I had the croque madame with poached egg on top and my bf had the poached eggs with smoked salmon on english muffin, and both come with green salad and French fries. My bf praised about how tasty the salmon is, and my french style grill ham/cheese is perfectly done as well. We have also order other brunch dishes and they were all delicious, the bread they served looks gourmet and very fresh. Some of us have ordered the unlimited drinks (+$13), I tried a sip of my bf's mimosa, and it was very tasty. At the end the chef treated everyone of us a dessert, we had crème burlee, molten chocolate cake, flan and tiramisu!!
I am happy to find a nice restaurant that serve quality food in this neighborhood! We will definitely come back again! -

Came here for brunch on a Sunday around noon. There was plenty of seating available. Unlimited mimosa/bloody mary/champagne/bellini/screwdriver is an additional $13 while a single one is $8. Simply put, there are better deals out there.
However, that said, their hanger steak burger was delicious! It came with deliciously salted fries and a well dressed, clean salad on a wonderful bun. I got the Olla eggs which were ok and not heavy, but could have used some more flavor/herbs.
They have bread with olive oil that's been infused with rosemary - very delightful.
At the end, they treated us with this amazing light airy tiramisu that was the perfect amount of sweetness that wrapped the whole meal together! +++ points! -

Perfection incarnate.
I had the shell steak, my date had the risotto. Both were extraordinary.
The caprese meat/cheese platter was mouth wateringly delicious.
If you want to feel like you're a guest at a good friend's home - and that friend happens to be the best host in the world - Olla is for you.
The bartender is one of the nicest people I've ever met and will make sure you leave with a full belly and a happy heart! Can't wait to come back. -

Five stars all around!! What a gem of a place in Bay Ridge. The reception was warm and inviting. The food was so delicious and we had a huge party so we tried everything. Porterhouse steak and seafood risotto are delicious. We even received free desserts!! Their creme brûlée is outstanding as well as the flan and chocolate molten cake.

Hola, OLLA!
A WONDERFUL BAY RIDGE WINE BAR!!
I can't help but whoop with happiness!
Let me start by saying, I was quite curious to try Olla after the demise of Bistro 72, (which I liked when it first opened)
I live right around the area, and was very hopeful for a great new place for brunch, ladies night, dinners, and just to have a great spot so near and dear in Bay Ridge.
Firstly, the decorum is LOVELY, they updated it and it's cozier and with a great ambiance... I went with my ladies to try their wines and have a few appetizers to share...
the bartender and owner was absolutely wonderful to us, very sweet woman, and she gave us tastes of several wines before we picked our bottle...
there was never a moment when we didn't feel completely taken care of, and the food was both delightful to look at and delicious to sample. (delicious cheeses, meats, wonderful salad and meatballs, I can go on and on...)
She gave us complimentary chocolate lava cake at the close of the night, and I promised I'd bring everyone I know, because I was truly impressed.
PS: Can't wait to try their brunch! -

We decided to go see the holiday lights in Dyker Heights and wanted to get some dinner first. We first bought a gift certificate from http://restaurant.com which was nice to be able to use on a Saturday night.
The service was GREAT! Our waitress was so helpful, we originally planned on sharing the caprese and meat/cheese platter among our party of 4, but she reccomended that it would be too small for us and suggested the Langostino Salad. It along with all of the other food was fabulous. My husband had the Chicken stuffed with spinach and pruicutto, I had the Lamb special, and the other couple had the Gnoicchi and hanger steak. All was wonderful. Prices were very reasonable. We dont live in the area but should we be over that way again I would definately go back!
They also mentioned that they do a great brunch with unlimited drinks while eating. -

I found the place by accident due to my birthday reservation for 14 getting canceled the night before. Olla accommodated us and made us feel at home. Everyone was happy with there order...I've been there a few times after that for brunch and it has been consistently good. They have the best espresso martinis and fabulous service. Every time I go I was surprised with a complimentary dessert. Eventually I have to try and make it there for dinner...Would def recommend the brunch

What a lovely and charming place this is. They have a great and reasonable wine selection. The service is outstanding with even the owner coming to check on you. I was there with a large group and they were extremely timely and accommodating. The food was delicious - I had a clam sauce with linguine special that was tasty and well seasoned. I highly recommend this charming and delicous place!

Bland, Bland, Bland.
The space was very nice, the cute Russian servers very nice, the 13.00 additional for unlimited Bellini, champagne, mimosa, screwdrivers and bloody mary's...very, very nice.
However, I did come here to eat and the food was very disappointing. I had to salt and pepper everything and still that wasn't enough to make my dish tasty.
I had the poached eggs in hollandaise sauce with smoked salmon over an english muffin...BLAND! You would have reasoned that the saltiness of the salmon would have saved the dish but alas NOT. Even the Flan was bland.
I'm sorry not all the unlimited drinks in this joint could save the bland, flat dishes. -

WOW, absolutely amazing! My sons and I took my husband to Olla's for a surprise 65th birthday brunch. My son found the restaurant through Yelp and I cannot thank him enough for finding it. We were taken care of like we were family. The food was fantastic, it was so fresh and cooked to perfection. Some of us opted for the unlimited drinks during brunch and before one drink was even finished another one was placed on the table to replace it. Our waitress, Katiana, was on top of everything and could not have been more attentive. The head chef came out to greet us as well since he knew it was my husbands birthday. The entire staff is so sweet and attentive, it was amazing. I think we found a new neighborhood favorite. Try Olla Wine Bar, you will not be disappointed! A true neighborhood gem!

I'm dying to find a good restaurant with nice ambiance and a decent wine list in Bay Ridge, but this is not it. We went on a Friday night and the restaurant was about half full. We sat at a table in the front window. The ambiance is nice enough, nothing special. The menu is unfocused, difficult to read because of the formatting, and overpriced. I got a glass of red wine, husband got a beer. Both were fine. For a wine bar I was expecting a more varied and adventurous selection.
For dinner I had pasta with lamb ragu. It was utterly flavorless. The tomato sauce had virtually no seasoning or acidity, and the dish was overwhelmed with parsley. The lamb itself was tender but way too fatty and under-seasoned. Husband had some kind of seafood medley with mussels, clams, calamari, and two shrimp. There was no sauce or broth. His dish was flavorless as well. He ate less than half. He also ordered mashed potatoes as a side since the seafood dish didn't have a starch, and they were obviously boxed. Like, really obviously. Again, they lacked so much as a bit of garlic or parsley.
They brought us tiramisu on the house, which was very nice, and the best part of the meal. It wasn't the best I've ever had by any stretch, but the texture was good and I love me some sugar.
The service was lovely so I wish I could write a more positive review, but the food was seriously lacking. I am not a picky eater whatsoever (I finished my pasta, I just didn't enjoy it at all) so if it's bad enough for me to write a two-star review, it's pretty bad. I don't know how they're getting these glowing reviews...
Long story short, the search for a great restaurant with a relaxing atmosphere and good wine in Bay Ridge continues. -

Food was o.k. nothing special. I found my chicken dish dry and for the price it wasn't worth it. I requested green beans instead of the mashed potatoes it came with, and they were out of it. My friend asked for mushrooms and they were out of it, too. The owner was awesome and really took care of us, but without the http://restaurant.com gift certificate, I don't know if I would come back. There wasn't anything on the menu that really grabbed me.

Amazing hospitality from the chef! The wine selection is a little limited for a wine bar but I guess that will expand over time. The food was wonderful. We had the escargot and it was very tasty. The entrees of shell steak and risotto were both excellent as well. I hope they do well here. Other restaurants could learn a thing or two about customer service from them.

Went to this place tonight for dinner. It was really great! The food was fantastic - we had the langostino and the escargot appetizers - both were amazing. Then we had the chicken and grilled seafood entrees with a sautéed spinach side - everything was prepared to perfection! Then we had the crème brule which was incredible good. And fantastic wine all night. Also, the owner and staff are ridiculously nice and attentive - this will truly become our neighborhood place for a great meal and great atmosphere!

Full Disclosure, my wife and I absolutely LOVED the French place that was here before Olla. We were devastated when it closed down. When Olla opened, we were initally sceptical. We decided to first go in for just a glass of wine each at the bar. The wine list is varied and we enjoyed. We then found out from one of the managers that the chef is actually the same chef as the previous restaurant. Naturally, my wife and were thrilled. We followed up with dinner during Halloween week. She had the Onion Soup which continues to be fabulous. I had the seafood, tomato, and mozzerella app which was out of this world! I thoroughly rec. For our entrees, I had the scallop dish which was lovely. My wife had the spaghetti with meatballs which was pretty good. For dessert, I ordered the creme brulee which i loved and my wife ordered the flan which was just alright. They add an espresso component to the flan which my wife and I didnt enjoy. Either way, we enjoyed and we will be back for more!
