    Great value, friendly front desk.
The look is traditional cottage, and it's very nice and detailed in the main building, but the quality of decor fades in the hallways and rooms. Everything looks worn, needs a reno'. Mattress looked new.

this converted mill gets three stars but has the potential to be a four star find.

    pros:
perfect location and enviornment for those wishing to get some quite rest away from the kiddy riot areas.

room was clean and comfortable. it was not worn or shabby.

the property while old, showed efforts of upkeep and maintenance.

there is no rip-off parking charge like in many of the area hotels.

    cons:
since this establishment went through the trouble of providing guests with wi-fi and and an internet connected computer in the lobby, why not make it more reliable than the power grid in bangladesh?

if  your room has one trash recepticle the size of a large coffee can, why is it never emptied even if abundantly overflowing?

if you have three guests in a room, why does housekeeping insist on providing only two towels each day even after being  notified?

the answers to these questions remain a mystery and have caused me to withhold the precious fourth star.

We reserved a king bed for our 1-year anniversary.  They gave us double full-size beds (smaller than our bed at home- awesome) and then tried to charge us $40/night more to upgrade to what we reserved. Unapologetically no less.  And I thought the Canadians were supposed to be less jerky.
