Old Orchard isn't a real go-to place for shopping since it's a small shopping centre, and with Rogers Video and Bag of Bargains gone, the parking lot isn't all that full. This isn't a destination like Metrotown and Crystal Mall nearby, but it's a decent place for locals to do a bit of quick shopping and avoiding the hustle and bustle.
There are plenty of food places: Subway, a Chinese food place, a sushi place, a cafe, as well as grocery shopping at a vegetable market and an IGA where the staff is very friendly. There's also a pharmacy and one clothing shop.
The bowling place is a good place to check out from time to time, and is bigger than it looks because it's underground.
