I first tried Okanagan Cider on a recent visit to Vancouver. I certainly hope it can be obtained down here in the U.S.ofA., because other than Hornsby's, this is my new favorite cider (I personally find it to be about equal in quality to Strongbow). I found its moderate sweetness to be quite pleasant, especially as compared to some of the sickeningly oversweet ciders that are popular in U.S. joints that cater to a younger clientele who think alcoholic beverages should taste like soda pop.

With the liquor store running out of Strongbow my preferred summer drop I am having to try alternatives. Most o them are too sweet and have a distinct aftertaste. The best of the bunch I think Okanagan Cider Companies Dry Classic Apple, it would be better if it had less sweetness and had less of the cloying aftertaste but for a local product it is the best. Now how about making one from organic apples guys? Please continue to experiment you are half way there to creating a great cider.
