Unreal service from both Lou, Matt and Cameron. Had my bike fixed in hours when 2 other shops in the north shore said weeks.
I have been looking for a trustworthy shop. Found it.
Other shops seem to push only those bikes they have in stock. Not here. -

I've been to this bike shop over 10 times in the last 5 years because they are located 1 block away from my apartment and they sell high end bikes. I've spoken with Lou, their head mechanic, a few times, and a few times with their sales people.
They are a busy bike shop. They are good with bike fitting. They carry fairly high end bikes. If you are looking for Trek, this is the bike shop for you on the North Shore. -

Always attitude. I've been several times because it was convenient and because my coworker swears by them. I had to name drop my coworker's name to get any sort of respect. Do I really have to do that? This is the last time I go there. The head mechanic looks the part of a dude with the giant soul patch. It matches his giant ego. The owner not so friendly, never a smile. I tried thinking, I'll give them another chance, but no more chances. It's pretty sad.
I have been a bike mechanic since high school. I know my stuff really well! I still do bike work, but my full time job doesn't allow me much time to wrench. I love building and repairing bikes, but it doesn't pay the bills.
So get a second opinion if you take your bike there for repairs. Do research on something they have in-stock. There are many other shops in town that carry the same product without attitude -

These guys really are obsessed! This store is amazing. The selection is freakin' huge! They have everything you could want, and they are a sponsor of the BC Ride to Conquer Cancer, so yay! We had a training ride and info session here the other weekend, and the staff were great, and gave us tips on flat repair, bike maintenance, bike fit and riding apparel. They really know their stuff, and some of the staff have even taken courses on bike fit to make sure you get the bike that is right for you. They even guarantee the fit of your bike for a year!
This place has so many bikes that their washroom downstairs is even full of 'em!
They have some pretty high end equipment here, and can even do custom molded bike shoes if you are hard core (and have several hundred dollars to spend on shoes).
I was drooling staring at the rows and rows of bikes, especially a couple pretty amazing Specialized I will never afford.
I think I will go back here for some parts and maybe a tuneup before my big ride, despite it being out of the way. It's also a beautiful old building and is in a great area of town with lots to do while you wait for you bike!Listed in: Rockstar Of The Day, Get Outside! But first you…

I'm a newbie cyclist and these guys make me feel super-comfortable and unintimidated. They even refrained from passing judgement when I brought my bike back for it's first service after eight months and had barely riden it.
All of the staff really are obsessed (and totally know what they're talking about), but they're approachable and super-helpful. -

The owner is very helpful. He seems to know his stuff and really listened to what I wanted. When I went back to try a few other bikes, I got a different guy who, to be quite frank, seemed to be guessing. But if you can get the owner to help you out, great service.
Unfortunately, and I felt kind of bad since he was so helpful, I did not end up buying the bike from them as they were only willing to knock $100 off a $2500.00 bike. I was able to find it for $2000.00 in the states. Then to add the lesser tax, I just couldn't justify paying an extra $700 when all said and done for the service. Otherwise, great shop. I'll go there for tune ups and what not. -

The guys at Obsession: Bikes are great! I've been in the market for a bike for the past two years. I walked in and out of many bike shops. Most of the time I'd leave, intimidated or just feeling like the people that worked at the shop would rather sell something to someone that actually knew something about bikes.
Not so with Obsession: Bikes. I walked in, a little gun shy. The guys were so helpful. I found a bike that was exactly what I was looking for! James encouraged me to hop on the bike and ride around a little to see how it felt. That was it! I found the bike for me. Before I could take it home, they made sure it was in tip top shape and then sent me on my way.
Unfortunately that bike was stolen a week after I bought it. This is where I really got to appreciate what kind of guys these were working at Obsession. They understood my frustration and sadness when I lost my bike and were really helpful in finding me an other bike and making it just like the one I had lost.
James is awesome, the whole crew is awesome. Without a doubt this will be the only bike shop I go to.
