Review from Sonia N.
Toronto, ON
I had my wedding her and everything went amazing. Mine was the traditional Portuguese wedding and they really now how to put one of those on and live up to expectations. It is a run by mostly Portuguese personal. However they are able to carter to most cultures. It's not a large convention hall only three rooms available but I liked the more intimate atmosphere instead of being in one of the larger conventions halls with 10 rooms or more and appearing to compete with many other weddings. It's decor is not as updated as the other larger convention halls but still nice and you can amp it up if get extra decor done to room.
Where it may not be as stylish as some of the other halls it really makes up for it in food and service. The food was amazing and second serving of everything of course. The cost was under 100 per plate and that was the full Portuguese menu, premium open bar and sea food buffet. I will mention with the seafood buffet they didn't skimp on anything and it was supper fresh. The staff was great and they bend over backwards for the bride. I was asked dozens of times if I wanted or ended anything.
Along with food they are able to provide lines, chair covers and money box too if you like. I had extra décor for head table done and chair ribbons over there provided chair covers. Oasis also have many recommendations they can give you for other services, including flowers, dj, bands, limo, ect. I went with there highly recommended DJ and he was fantastic.
I loved the personal attention I was given on the day and that they exceeded my expectations. My family was super impressed having been to so many of these weddings before. -

Perfect venue for a small wedding.
I was here July 31st for a friends wedding. Portuguese & Jamaican.
It's right off of Lakeshore Road E. Directly to your Right side (if coming from Hurontario). The free parking lot circles the centre , all the way around. Plenty of parking close enough to take long quick strides with my vintage cherry YSL's and NOT have to worry about scuffing or trips. Score!
The father of the bride was part of the staff so discounts and super service was in store.
Most the staff members are older European men. They are quite cordial but zip right by you. I had to be loud when saying "Thank You". It felt like they weren't used to hearing that. Odd.
The food was very delicious. Authentic cultural with Rice, Curry, Jerk chicken and naan. There was also a midnight Buffet after. All this along with the open bar... you can imagine I don't remember much.
Unlike other halls, there's only 1 main door into the Centre. To your left you will see the bathrooms, straight ahead is the hall itself. Again, only 1 set of doors into the Hall. The dance floor face the doors, then right behind is the wedding party table, then above is the stage with the bride and grooms seat/table. Along the sides is about 50 tables each. The tables are decent, seats are mediocre. Can't say it was too comfortable. If you are on the budget, this place isn't so bad. The open bar definitely helps you forget the rest of the tacky decor.
The dj was lame too. Again, , it really helps with the open bar.
The bathrooms was large. Thankfully. there's 2 rows of stalls on either side and a path split in the middle./ Both ends have sinks & mirrors. This helped a ton with the traffic of girls!
All in all, I wouldn't recommend to host any event here, unless you are on a serious budget. With dimmer lights and more beer options, anything works.
