Just got back from a wonderful diner at Oak Bay Bistro ,which replaced the awful Blethering Place, and had to let everyone know about this great new restaurant in Oak Bay.
We started with a cheese and meat board where we were able to pick from a long list of meats and cheeses. The board also included some empada and various pickled vegetables and fruits, it was a perfect way to start our meal.
For a main course I had the halibut wrapped in prosciutto with nicoise salad, and my wife had roasted butternut and goat cheese cannelloni with pesto zucchinis. Both entrees were absolutely delicious and full of fresh quality ingredients. We ended with their creme brulee trio which included vanilla bean, coffee, and salted caramel flavours.
We really enjoyed our meal and cant wait to go back. The service was wonderful, our waitress was very friendly and helpful. We cant wait to go back! -

At the corner of Oak Bay and Monteray Avenues, this neighbourhood gem is the place to go, if you're looking for lunch or for dinner, in the Oak Bay area. Formerly the Blethering Place tearoom, this space has had a total renovation, and the menu choices are exactly what one's palate needs, to be pleased! Have been for lunch once and dinner twice...good choices, a fresh sheet that really is, and whoever is in the kitchen knows what they're about. If you're in Victoria, and near to Oak Bay, then this is the destination.....
