Bought a wonderful Berber wool carpet with a top-notch natural fiber pad (hairfelt) from Kami at Nufloors. We ordered the carpet (50% due on order) with the understanding that Nufloors may need to hold it for a few weeks as we were out of country.
The first glitch was when Kami sent an installation crew to our home based on a date I mentioned that we MIGHT be back. Unfortunately, we were still away.
On installation day, Ron arrived at 9am to get started and said his nephew would be along soon. We started to feel like we had a problem when his worker still hadn't arrived by 1030. The assistant came around 1130 and the work began. The first two hours were a waste of time (glitch two).
The guest bedroom is done and it looks beautiful - no seams necessary. Berber is usually thicker than most carpet. On top of the hairfelt underlayment, it is positively divine.
Now, glitch three, they do not have enough underlayment to complete the job. Someone left a roll behind. This was to be a 2 -3 hour job. We are now 6 hours into it and it is still not done!
The master bedroom required a seam. Although the installation has not gone smoothly, Ron clearly knows his stuff. There were two possible places for the seam to go. One location was very high risk - if the seam was not near-perfect it would be an eyesore. The other location necessitated a much longer seam, most of it would be under the bed. He chose to put the labor into the longer, safer seam. It looks fantastic.
I'd like to give these guys 4 STARS - excellent product, excellent installation. The glitches account for the loss of a STAR. We'll have another installation to do soon and I will use these guys again.
