The girls at Novelle were so helpful and accommodating. I ordered my dress 3 months before the wedding, and the dress came in perfect and on time. I had such a WONDERFUL experience with them that I would say this is the only place you need to go to shop for your dress.

I visited Novelle this past weekend with my mom, grandma and maid of honour. I had an appointment with Jasmine and she couldn't have been more helpful. After coming from two other dress appointments in not-so-nice stores, Novelle was a breath of fresh air.
From the moment we walked in Jasmine was friendly and knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable. When I wasn't sure about a couple of the dresses, she gave me the idea to add straps and had the straps available so I could visualize what the final dress would look like. I am from Calgary and wasn't considering buying a dress in Edmonton (I was really just there to browse), but the service and selection of Novelle might have made me change my mind. -

I have decided to go with a Nicole Miller dress from Novelle for my November destination wedding:) There is nothing else like it, it feels wonderful light and stretchy!!!!!! No one else in the city sells Nicole Miller!! This bridal shop was my first choice as I use to live in the area, I did go to another bridal store but I knew I had found it when I left there.
I worked with Chelsea, she was wonderful and I absolutely adored her.
I love that they are smaller, it does not seem overwhelming, I can't wait to wear my dress!!!!
I will be purchasing a very ornate headband there as well:) -

I really enjoyed my time spent at Novelle Bridal. While it's service is not as high end as Pure Bridal, it certainly had a great selection and very nice staff. When I went on a Wednesday afternoon for my appointment there was one other walk in looking through dresses which ultimately ate into my time with the consultant, but c'est la vie I suppose when there is only one person working.
It is a really small shop, great selection and cute decor. I actually fell in love with three dresses and had to narrow down my choice. This was someone who wasn't even planning on buying her dress that day! My consultant was very patient and let me try on everything twice. It was a little different because she had me pick out the dresses and shift through the stock, but it ended up being a more fruitful trip then my other appointment.
I ended up picking out the perfect destination wedding dress. I cannot give away too much detail as my fiance will probably read this, but it was exactly what I had thought of in my head before I even stepped into the store. I will update this review when I go in for alterations since that is the next most important step!Listed in: Wedding Planning

Although I did not ultimately buy my dress here, I have to review the fantastic experiences I had here with Angel, in her shop Novelle Bridal.
First of all, Novelle was everything I was looking for in a bridal dress experience...something I have yet to find elsewhere in Edmonton. It is a smaller shop with a finely curated selection of gowns, a bright airy naturally lit interior and a well-attuned, helpful salesperson. Long before I had ever imagined wearing a bridal gown, I loved the dresses she chose to highlight in the display window of her store, which is very near to High Street. (Run over to check out stationery at Notables while you're nearby!)
Angel told me she picks every dress herself to bring into the store, and it shows as she knows her stock inside and out. I went in asking for a dress with matte material in an odd fabric or something with an asymmetrical design, and she gave me choices that offered both! The dresses kind of echo the store: beautiful, unusual simplicity with attention to detail.
There is a selection of different dresses here from designers like Nicole Miller, San Patrick and Watter Wtoo, in a wide range of prices. She also has a selection of off the rack sale dresses for those on a budget, Sara Gabriel headpieces and veils and gorgeous shrugs and boleros. It's a classy store with unusual dresses I was unable to find in other Edmonton boutiques (even Pure Bridal on 104 Street which touts a designer collection)
I would have gladly supported Angel and Novelle, but ended up ultimately buying my dress out of the country. So I can only do my best to support her with a review. Good luck in your gown searching! -

This is an AMAZING bridal salon. Don't go anywhere else!
Novelle Bridal is a small bridal shop run by Angel and Dustin, along with a couple of consultants. While their selection isn't the largest or most extensive in the city, but what they have is AMAZING. Dresses are organized very well. The shop is as clean as can be, and the lighting is soft and natural. Everyone is so polite, soft-spoken and extremely friendly.
I made an appointment for a Saturday, and when I arrived with my family (we were a bit early), Dustin informed me that they were running a little bit behind, and asked if we could come back in 10 minutes (the shop is small, so there's not many places to hang out). He was so polite and apologetic. When my appointment did start, my consultant was very attentive. She asked what fabrics I liked, shapes, things I was opposed too, the style I wanted, and much more. She also asked if I had found anything beforehand that I wanted pulled. Then she gave myself and my family the time to pull what WE wanted, and she pulled some dresses as well.
Even though we ended up going through about 10 dresses, my consultant was patient with me, and helped me through my thought process. I didn't feel overwhelmed or rushed. I ended up buying my dress there! But she let me go and think about it for a bit, and come back later that day for measurements and a deposit if I really wanted it.
I did just that! I loved that I wasn't pushed into buying ASAP, or made to feel my appointment was just any other appointment. I felt special and well-cared for. When I came back to get my measurements and put down the deposit, Angel even came out of the back room apologizing because she didn't get to meet me when I was first in! Amazing service. Amazing experience.
I recommend Novelle Bridal to any bride out there who wants to feel like she's the only one in the store.
