Before the Tim Hortons opened up about a year ago, I used to come here on the regular for take-out coffee.  The coffee was usually good, occasionally it would taste like it was sitting on the burner too long.  But meh.

They've got delicious loaves of bread, baguettes, and rolls.  I especially enjoy the garlic bread they make.

Their pastries and cakes are divine. The natas (custard pastry) are my favourite, but I do like a strawberry tart or slice of cheesecake every once in a while too!

Their sandwiches are nothing to write about, I could easily make the same at home (with their buns) and for around $5, I'd rather get a foot-long.  But, if you're hungry and you're there and you don't feel like filling up on a loaf of bread or sweets, a sandwich is fine.

Service here is a little hit-or-miss, unless you're Portuguese/Italian, as with most places in Little Italy.   I've never encountered a problem with any server here, though.  Just don't go in if you're a hurry.

They have a great patio which is awesome for people watching when the weather's nice.  So if you can't make it to the Jersey Shore this Summer, I'd definitley recommend stopping by and checking it out!

I was going clubbing and tried this traditional portuguese bakery.

I felt like I was back in Brazil, where most bakeries are run by portuguese or italian families (I'm half italian, and my family used to have a bakery, obviously). Food is good, but not awesome. Service is AWFUL. I asked for  a traditional coffee-and-milk (supposedly, a latte), and was served a cup of coffee... with extra milk, charged. The cheese-and-ham sandwich was good, yep, but I've had better.

I was going to ask for some portuguese candy, but gave up due to bad service.

It's not a cheap place. And there's not even free wi-fi. It looks better than it really is. It's like a place to eat when you're hungry late night, because it's obviously clean.

I really don't know why they expect you to be served on the tables, if you asked over the counter the service would be faster.
