I could get lost for HOURS in this place! Notables has everything you'd ever want to supply your home office with - a great variety of quality pens, papers, desk gadgets, binders, folders, portfolios, journals, scrapbook supplies... etc. etc. etc.!

The Semikolon collection is to DIE for. Fab selection of notecards as well, and tonnes of random oddball items to keep you entertained.

Staff are friendly and don't mind you wandering. There's a stationary section toward the back, where they advertise custom invitations and the like.

A visit to the High Street area isn't complete without popping into this shop!

Although Notables is technically a stationery store, it has so much in it that one could keep visiting this place for a long time.  My work requires a lot of the use of pencils, pens and paper; Notables has the best collection of stationery in Edmonton.  They've also got a great collection of fancy letter-writing or wedding invitation style paper.  The quality of some of that paper is really exquisite.

It's expensive.  Actually, very expensive for something as basic as stationery.  So I wouldn't really be able to afford to satisfy all my writing needs at this store.  Having said that, they've got a lot of other interesting things here, like, small mugs, varying sizes of bags from pocketbooks to carry-ons, interesting ornaments for a desk and other such things.  It's actually quite hard to articulate what this store has but if you're looking for something for your office space or desk, you'd find it here (not furniture of course).

I love the brand semikolon and I find that Notables has a lot of semikolon material here.  They've also got a formidable collection of pencils and pens, but I wouldn't say they're the best in that department (Staples is probably better for their variety).

I come here often for my writing and note-making needs.  It's a lovely store and is located in an awesome part of town.

Such a cute little store, yet I could spend hours looking around. I stepped into Notables to get a quote on DYI invitations. This is where they cut and print everything and then you just have to put them together. Such a great idea when you don't need many invites, you want them to be individual and you don't have to pay a million dollars. From what I have seen they are at a really good price point compared to other places that make similar products.
You do need an appointment to get a price quote, but it's really nice to sit down with the card maker and go through all your different options. There were things that I hadn't even considered, just little details, but they made the card.
I have yet to go back and actually put in my order, but I will soon. I'll post an update as I work through the process, but so far so good!

Notables is probably my favourite stop on High Street. I could spend (and have spent) hours looking around at the journals, pens, papers, and amazing invitation supplies they carry. My favourite section, by far, is the array of greeting cards. If you find regular, commerical greeting cards too cheesy for your friends and loved ones, Notables carries a number of indepedent brands that will say just what you can't.

This is my go-to for hard to buy for friends and all of my last-minute gifts.

Ummm, wait what? I haven't written a review for Notables yet? That's crazy! Because I'm crazy for Notables!

I like to think of myself as a minimalist, but I can't help but buy something every time I come into Notables. They carry a ton of great brands and products, everything from notebooks and daytimers to travel journals, folders, photo albums, checklists, greeting cards, and more.

My favourite brand at Notables is Semicolon. Their products are really brightly coloured and well-made for a decent price ($3 - $7). I have a couple of file folders here and I plan to create an entire collection for myself from this line.

The staff here are always friendly. They always ask if I have a customer loyalty card. I always say no, but I really think I should get one...

I've been shopping at Notables for years.  Since I am a notebook addict, I can find my favourite brands, as well as beautiful pens to go with them.  I also shop here regularly for greeting cards.  Notables has the most unique selection of cards I have ever seen anywhere, from funny to serious to adult-themed.  "Where did you get this?" is often a reaction I get after giving someone a card I purchased at Notables.

Notables also carries some Judaica seasonally to coincide with the Jewish holidays of Rosh Hashana, Chanukah, and Passover.  They don't have as big of a selection as they used to, but you can still find your basics here, such as dreidels for Chanukah and seder plates for Passover.

If you are planning a wedding, Notables has a full-service invitation design service.  There are also scrapbooks, photo albums, and just about every kind of notebook imaginable.  The brands Notables carry are high-end, but the quality of the products are worth it.  I often buy Moleskine notebooks here.

Notables is one of my favorite shops in the High Street district. The very first time I came here, I felt like a schoolgirl on a field-trip. And I think I stood at the entrance for a good minute or so, just overcome with glee.

For anyone who loves stationary as much as I do, you have to check out Notables. The outside of the store looks like an old-fashioned stationary shop, and once you step inside, you can get overwhelmed by how much there is to see.

They've got notebooks galore, and notebooks to serve any purpose you may need, such as organizers and agendas. I have come to love the Peter Pauper collection so much, I have started collecting them myself.

Their walls look like library shelves just stuffed with more and more notebooks. There are photograph albums and scrapbooks, scrap-booking and card-making supplies, and some gorgeous handmade specialty papers. For anyone who likes to make cards or scrapbooks, they have a small but wonderful selection of handmade applique stickers. I plan on going back for some soon! They also carry gift cards, gift bags and specially handmade gift wrap to make a present extra-special.

In addition, Notables offers services in custom design and printing. They will help you design and print your personal stationary or invitations, and provide you with a free hour of consultation, in which you can get your design created on site.

So whether you need party or wedding invitations printed, or just need a new notebook, Notables is definitely worth checking out, especially if you love beautiful things.

Notables is a specialty stationary store in the High Street area that is my go-to place for funky stationary and journals.  They also carry a wide range of cards for any occasion as well as gifts including candles, wallets, and bath products.  They are one of the few places I have found in Edmonton that carries Fountain Pens which makes my Grandma very happy.   They also carry many other kinds of beautiful pens with re-fillable ink which are a bit more user friendly in a variety of prices.  Unfortunately, I wasn't introduced to Notables before my wedding, but had I been I would have seriously considered getting my wedding invitations here!

This is a great place to check out if you love beautiful paper and all things that go with it!

I couldn't believe how busy this place was, when I walked in. Every single associate (three in total, I think) were helping customers. I think people make appointments, but I'm not sure what for--maybe wedding invitations? I also noticed they had some really cool pens that looked very expensive. The girl that worked there was pulling out all kinds of pens out of the glass case for this man to try. I didn't know some people were so serious about their pens.

I loved the notebooks here that come in every colour imaginable. They seem very high-quality; they are a bit pricey, but they don't seem totally ureasonable. I also saw some great coil notebooks as well. These had funky designs on them, like little birds and things. I thought one of these notebooks would be a perfect gift for one my friends that is going away for a number of months. I'm just not sure if $19 for a coil notebook is worth the price.

I also saw these nice paperweights with a letter of the alphabet inside. I wanted to buy this as a gift as well, but it was almost $40. I was surprised, Notables also had a few purses and wallets. The wallets were really colourful and funky, but again, they were pricey.

Even though I liked this store, I ended up leaving it feeling quite depressed.

There is something classy about Notables. Perhaps it's the leather bound journals or wax embossing kits, but whatever it is I love it!

Notables Stationers sells stationary, paper, journals, cards, trinkets and gift items and is located on High Street. This is a great place to come and source invitation ideas and supplies, get scrapbook ideas/supplies or not so run of the mill cards. It's also a place to consider getting wedding supplies such as guest book, bridal party gifts and planning items.

It's a fun place to poke around in. The staff is friendly and willing to help. Parking can be a challenge on the weekends as the lot is small.

As a writer, naturally I am a little bit of a paper and pen snob.

Notables is my place to go when I feel like splurging on myself. The place is filled with beautiful unique cards, expensive fountain pens, journals, stationary, stamps and other knick knacks. I went here to look for a journal and was in the store for almost an hour, browsing around, obsessing over all the beautiful paper and journals.

They also have fabulous wedding stationary here, and I imagine that brides could save bundles by making their own. I think this will be my place to be once it comes to that time.

All in all, a beautiful store to wade through, no matter how much of a paper and pen snob you may be!

    What a great store!
I was skeptical about this store because how much stationary do you really need?  The answer:  A LOT!  I loved it all!
Notables had every stationary that I could every imagine and it was all fabulous.  They also have a wide variety of cards.  I really enjoyed the card because they were quality cards - not the cheap ones you see a lot of places these days, these were really nice.
They also had some beautiful journals, for both men and women.  The leather journals are a great gift idea for the man in your life, they were exquisite.  The also had some leather file folders (to carry into a meeting or to work) - also beautiful.
I had fun looking at all the different pens.  They definitely have a pen to suit every personality!
One thing that I thought was really neat was the selection of seal stamps that they had.  You know the ones I'm talking about - they used to drip wax onto envelopes to seal them shut and then they would stamp the wax with the family seal and send it on it's way!  And Noteables has stamps to do this!  My friend did this on her wedding invitations and it looked phenomenal!
It's a great store!  Unique and purposeful.  Check it out!

Notables is an amazing store located in High Street district-  "a block to shop" as Edmontonians call it! Whenever I am looking for a new photo album, or fancy postcards, or even a cute key-chain, I can find it here. The place is packed with fantastic products.
I just love how the first thing you see as you walk in is a dog(!) (I suspect it is the owner's dog), who walks around the store freely and wags his tail at everybody. I think it gives the store a nice touch.
The selection at Notables is mind-blowing. They carry a WIDE selection of unique greeting cards (watch out Hallmark!), various kinds of engraved paper, invitation cards, media and photo storage boxes, journals, scrap books, pens/pencils, calendars, bookends, picture frames, etc. The stock is often updated. Notables is definitely a very popular place among locals and is constantly packed with happy customers! I have noticed that one of their most popular services  is the design of custom-made wedding invitations, and whenever I am shopping at the store somebody always has a consultation with the customer service representative. The service t Notables is excellent, by the way, and the stuff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
Now to talk about Notable's prices. They are definitely not easy to swallow. Since the store carries many brand-name products (such as Semi-Colon storage boxes), the prices for these products are elevated. For that reason, I visit Notables only occasionally, when I feel a serious need to treat myself to a $50.00 photo album. Which is not very often. Because of high prices, I give Notables 4 stars instead of 5.

Despite our focus on the environment, it seems there is still a healthy market for paper products. At Notables, you can get high-end wrapping paper, premium beautiful letter-writing parchment in every shade, transparency, colour and pattern imaginable. Then thereâs all the letter-writing accouterments: pens, pencils, journals, day timers, envelopes, greeting cards and more. They have a very big card rack with whatever you may be looking for: funny, sassy, sweet, sexy, scripted or blank. There are lots of unique ones. I spent quite a bit of time reading through them. There are also lots of gifty things here: sweets, jewelry, hand bags, recycled notepads, hats and more. If you want to do a little shopping, Notables is located in a small plaza of a few other original shops: Vespucci, Carolâs Sweet Shop, Call the Kettle Black, Paddyâs Cheese shop and Urban Diner and a great wine shop are across the way.
