Review from Lacey H.
The North Street Church is a lovely community oriented space, fostering neighborhood connections through art, music and dance.
I have seen a number of wonderful shows here, including album releases and every day local talent getting together to show off their skills. I've also very much enjoyed happening upon the lovely seasonal craft fairs, highlighting the wild amount of local artistic talent that this city boasts.
When the fun just keeps 'a coming at the North Street Church, you wouldn't be surprised then to hear about bicycle parties and female DJ collectives popping and preening across the space's stage.
This is no doubt one of Halifax's most gentle and graceful spaces, opening its doors to all artistic forms that can be put on display. I give this space five stars painted in gold across a large canvas, and ten toots on the trumpet for being a lovely place to gather together and appreciate all things created from the imagination. -
Review from Anna H.

I have a big weak spot for churches that have been repurposed for alternative uses, and the sweet space at North St. Church (which started as a Catholic church) is a great example. I've just attended craft fairs here, so my experience with it isn't too deep, but I still feel it deserves a high rating. The atmosphere is great - warm and cozy, old Maritime, churchy architecture, lots of wood. Good stuff. It's not huge, so I think event sizes are limited, but I love the idea of putting on some sort of hullabaloo here.
P.S. I just Googled it, and am amused to report that it has a listing on Clubzone.
