Review from Beth C.
Victoria, BC
My department was looking for a unique, fun team-building experience, and we ended up at the North Saanich Rod & Gun Club. The Club is about a 30 minute drive, and out by the Victoria airport, at the end of a gravel drive.
There were 14 of us, many or most of whom had never fired a gun before. The members who helped us - Murray, Blair, Jerry, Mike and a woman whose name I didn't catch but who was very enthusiastic about guns.
We were there for about 2.5 hours, and learned a lot about how to hold, aim and fire various guns, as well as how to cock the ones that need cocking and clear empty brass from the chambers.
We had a chance to try 14 different types of guns including various rifles, cowboy guns, revolvers, handguns, semi-automatic weapons and the whole bit. We felt safe the whole time. They're very clear and very serious about the rules - barrels/muzzles remain pointed down range at ALL times. Ear protection and eye protection don't come off when on the range. Pay attention, learn, squeeze the trigger rather than pulling. Aim with the front sight, lining it up between the back sights.
Stance, grip, head positioning - the instructors were patient and friendly, happy to answer any questions, and made sure we felt at home. We had a really good time, and I'd recommend it to others.
How many internet marketers/copywriters can say they've fired an AK-47?
