It's been quite some time since I went shopping and, yes, it's much more enjoyable when someone else is paying for the things you buy...

The selection of EVERYTHING is HUGE.  I mean srsly, this place is like nineteen stories tall.  Anyways, I got a snazzy purr of Sperry Topsiders which is extra neat since prior to "her" picking them out for me, I had never even heard of such a brand.  They are nice - Mikey likey.

So the prices are fantastic, too, since the stuff their is either going out of style (yeah right) or defective (in ways you can't even see with the naked eye)... Basically, shopping at regular Nordstrom seems downright silleh with this place in existence.

They have a super huge selection of panties, too - not gonna specify why I know that.

This Nordstrom Rack is way better than the Nordstrom Rack back at home in NYC, hands down.  I can spend a good hour or two just browsing this store.  Sure, it's a mess, but that's what you get with most designer bargain stores like this one, TJMaxx, etc.

There are a lot of good labels here (yes I love my labels).  The first floor is really fun to browse because the purses, luggage, accessories, and bath stuff are here.  There is a ton of Michael by Michael Kors, Kate Spade, Marc by Marc Jacobs, etc.  Lots of sunglasses to choose from (saw a ton of Coach ones last time I was here).  Prices aren't dirt cheap (you're not going to find a $50 Kate Spade purse here, sorry) -- but they're a lot better than the $200-$300+ MSRP.  I like browsing the health stuff because there's a lot of Neutrogena, Fekkai (that expensive shampoo), and even Tweezerman (the super expensive tweezers- I finally caved in a bought a $11 pair)

The women's shoe floor is kind of a disaster.  Sometimes there are boxes with a pair of shoes in them, but 99% of the time the boxes don't match up with the pairs of shoes, so don't look at the box for the price.  There are also racks of 1-shoes where you have to go to the shoe counter to get your other shoe.  There are often a lot of clearances here.  I recently picked up a pair of Coach patent flats for only $45!  Other brand names common here are: Bruno Magli, Steve Madden, Vera Wang, Via Spiga, etc.  I've also gotten, on this floor, an adidas workout bag that was perfect for the gym for around $20 (Random workout gear scattered around this floor).

The women's clothing is on the lower level.  This place is interesting because there's random labels of course, and then there's the high-end designer pieces (think Armani, Theysken's Theory, Tory Burch, Celine, etc.) -- the prices are still rather astronomical in my opinion but women are still snatching up these pieces, I kid you not.  Watch out for tears in the clothing though.  I think the outerwear section here is okay, so many pieces I've picked up but they're the wrong size or the price is still too high.  If you are really $$$ conscious I would just scout out the clearance racks - you never know what you can find here.  I've definitely scouted some BCBG dresses here that are pretty cute.

The men's section is pretty awesome.  There are actually a decent number of guys shopping here, which really tell you something!  There are tons of jeans, jackets, shoes, belts, etc. for guys.  My boyfriend got a Lacoste Belt for around $30 which is great for that brand and quality of leather.

Whenever I'm in Seattle, I'm definitely hitting up this Nordstrom Rack.  It is not for the faint or the weak, but I actually think that there are a lot of hidden gems here.

    Anything Nordstrom's is tight :)

This place is great, however, some areas are messy. Super busy all the time, but they have GREAT clothes for cheap.

Definitely worth the wait in line, which isn't actually too bad as they try their best to go smoothly. People don't know where it begins tho. They are moving this location to the Westlake center I believe, unless they're opening both locations.

You can't go wrong here :)

I have never been one for bargain hunting or shopping at outlets. I have always felt that there is something decidedly sad about that. But I feel very differently about the Rack - this particular rack at least.

My very first trip to a Nordstrom Rack was not memorable at all - rows of clothing tossed haphazardly and women of all ages and sizes fighting over them. Not my style.

This particular Nordstrom Rack in located in a very friendly spot - there is a view of the Pike's Market as you enter its doors. That in itself should be a warning as to how busy and popular it is. And like all clearance stores - a mess. Though it's a more organised mess.

They have four floors - one for each department - I like that segregation.
    Basement for women's
Main floor for household and accessories
    Second floor for women's shoes
    Third floor for Men's.

If one has the time and the patience, one can walk out with many quality purchases for a very acceptable price. They are pretty well stocked. And the staff are friendly and helpful.

Oh, and they will be relocating come March to the Westlake Shopping centre.

In my humble opinion, one of the best ones along the Vancouver to Washington/Oregon states corridor.  Practically a whole floor to the men's, unlike the Lynnwood and Portland where it's shared w/ the women.  Not that i'm against that, just shows how big this DT one is.

And the mens' selection is pretty big, again, to get a deal, you'll have to do some work looking for the right size, which fortunately, is quite organized.

Lots of name brands, the odd Versace here and there, but enough Kenneth Coles, Calvin Kleins, Nordstrom...

The place is always packed and sort of a madhouse...
The women's clothing is hidden downstairs where I think they expect us to cage fight each other...
The clothing racks themselves are a little disorganized and hard to go through...
Finding something is also sometimes a challenge. Sometimes you are wowed and sometimes you wonder how this piece of clothing ever got made in the first place.

However, when you can find that awesome item it is so worth it. The plethora of cute dresses, business tops, and lucky jeans on discount keeps me coming back. Accessories are ALWAYS tempting here, and even though they are busier than heck, the employees have always been sweet when i've popped in. I just wish their hold policy was more than just a day.

All in all, a good place to shop for quality products without the steep prices.

Talk about CRAZY COOL. My family & I went here last Monday to check out the store's selection. I ended up in my fav section, the shoe section, and fell IN LOVE with this open toed midnight blue suede shoes and blue & pink pumps that were trendy to the max. I placed them on hold thinking it'd be safe for a day.

Problem was when I came back the next 2 days. None were on hold so I had to re-comb the aisles and saw the blue & pink pumps. BUT I fell in love with the open toed shoes! They were nowhere to be found & I even asked the salesman to check the back. When he said there were none, I was heartbroken and reasoned they were sold out fast (due to holidays, demand is super high). Plus, these girls would literally check what I had and oogle me. I ended up buying a houndstooth pumps for around $40, but you can tell I was heartbroken.

A few days later, I still made the effort to look for the shoes I fell in love with & FOUND THEM by miracle on the aisle. I again, placed them on hold, said I'd come back by 10 pm to do an exchange.

I literally took the bus to go home to get those first shoes I did not like to exchange them for the one I LOVED. It was dark and super scary riding a bus alone, but WELL WORTH IT for the labor of looking HOT.

I also bought SEVERAL clearance goodies as Christmas gifts for my niece. I could barely afford the designer place downstairs which was TO DIE FOR (Gucci, ODLR, JPG, D&G, etc) and vowed to come back someday when I was making 6 digits or more to get them here at a steal.

The lines were long, but flowey. Staff were superb. Shout out to that nice Asian gal and white guy who made Xmas shopping easier. Kind of disappointed with that shoe guy, but you know what, he tried and did his best with me, he really could not locate my shoes. He was super helpful in making the shopping a great experience.

    This NR ROCKS!!!! ;-)

I even wore my cute shoes in the airport because it has a rubber sole and I wanted to get back to my HOT SELF and be comfty and stylish upon my return to LA as my friend picked me up at the airport.

You can really find AWESOME deals if you're really into beauty & fashion. You just need a ton of patience and style. I am a beauty freak and this NR went beyond my expecations. Too bad I did not take advantage of the bedding department. Lovely soft comforters I wanted to give as gifts, but we never had time to return for a 3rd trip.

If I had more time & money, I would have returned here, in a jiffy.....I loved the 4 levels (or was it 3?!?!) It was a zoo, but a lovely zoo....browsed the watch and other sections.....I even bought myself some bling.

Its a "must come" place if you are from Canada, like me.

Though it feels overwhelming when you first enter, abundance clothing and people, its worth the visit. The high-end cosmetics are lower priced than most big chain stores like Sephora. I went there for Christmas shopping and there's a LOT to choose from! Their prices are close to 50% from stores elsewhere. There are brand name handbags, shoes, skincare products.

Pretty much anything you need is ALL in this store.

This is a pretty decent Nordstrom rack with quality brand name items, but for a cheaper price than regular retail. The men's section was very well kept neat and organized. I found a lot of name brand shoes and jeans that were a good 30 to 40% off the full retail price. Even though the prices were cheaper, you still would be in sticker shock if you didn't know what you were buying into especially with some of the really big name items still seeming to be priced out of reach. Yikes!!! The space is kind of small in size and constrained, but hopefully when they move to the new Westlake location that will be alleviated.

I was so overwhelmed by the messy store. You can skip the bottom floor with the clothes. There was nothing for me to buy. I shoulda known when I saw everyone down there that looked 40+.

The shoes were kinda a mess but I can see why everyone is in love with the top floor. Don't kill me but I'm not  a shoe person. This is just my personal pref so I wasn't impressed.

The main floor when you walk in has accessories and beauty products along with some household items. This was my fave floor but I didn't find anything I wanted to buy. It's a nice spot to buy big bottles of shampoo/conditioner/lotions but I didn't want to make my luggage any heavier than it already was.

Maybe I came on a bad day. I'll let ya know if it was just of them days..

I went to the new Nordstrom's Rack in Seattle today.  The store is fantastic, but do not wait too long to use the bathroom.  There is an awful bathroom that is in the food court, so go across the street to use the bathroom at the Nordstrom's store.  I cannot believe the store is so great......my only complaint is the bathroom, there is no bathroom.

The shoe bug have bitten me and this place is now a favorite for my cravings.

Organization of this store is quite messy but I don't mind. I come here for the shoes. There's a whole floor dedicated just for shoes. Rows after rows and what's even better, there is at least 2-3 racks, back and front, of shoes in size 4-5.5 for tiny feet people like me! That's fantastic. Shoe sizes that small and made for a young woman like me and not for a 10 years old girl. ++++

There's also designer shoes for decent prices in comparison to their original cost. So, you know those Badgley Mischka heels you been wanting...you might just find it for half price! *cross my fingers*

    Sigh...I love shoes.

I can't believe I've been to Seattle so many times and I've never thought to go in here. I can't tell if it's because I was scared I'd buy everything in the store or because I didn't realize how amazing everything is.

There are three floors with women's, men's, stuff and shoes. I spent most of my time looking through the women's and shoes. They have an incredible selection of great brands at really good prices.

I bought three different pairs of Betsey Johnsen tights and a lingerie set and my bill was under $100. Which is incredible.

From now on this is going to be a must see in Seattle. The staff are friendly, the line moves really quickly, the prices are good and it's located right downtown close to Pike Place etc. I love it!

Yes, this store is DA BOMB.

It is conveniently located in downtown Seattle (a little too close to my job, if you ask me), has a varied selection of high-end merchandise, and great prices. What else could one ask for?

So, if you happen to be in downtown Seattle, and have a little shopping to do, do NOT walk by this place. It will be well worth your time.

I can almost guarantee that you will find some "crazy nice" brand-name items at prices that can't be beat.

This place is ok, but the discounts are much better for men than for women. Of course, as a female patron, this is always disappointing.

Racks are totally cramped. Lines are huge.

Since Vinnci wrote, Perse Ts for women are around $50. I was so shocked that I didn't believe my bill. I was in such shock that I even returned to the store the next day--but sure enough, $50 they were! The Splendid ts were cheaper (another spendy brand) but all were long sleeved and skin tight; they really don't look great on anyone with curves.

"Spanx" tights (which I thought might be better in quality?) run at least $20 and truthfully,  the quality doesn't seem any better than any other brand that you can buy for about $8 in many discount stores in Seattle.

Be careful with the socks! I bought a nice pair and when I returned to the hotel and opened the package, mine ripped. The clerks were really nice in exchanging them as they clearly remained unworn.

They really do keep the changing room moving fast which is both good and bad; If you accidentally give something to the room attendants, it will be moved back to the floor within minutes. Quite impressive!

For men, hoodies are a good choice here, as they are def. less than what you'd pay at a dep't store.

Customer service agents are quite nice and helpful, which is the norm in Seattle (so unlike Vancouver!).

So while it's not my favourite place around, it's comparable to the high end section of TJ Maxx that I've found in NY, although prices will run higher for the exact same items. But the west coast is always more spendy for clothes for some bizarre reason.

Two words describe this location: Cluster F*ck.

Granted, this store IS located in the middle of downtown Seattle and IS chock-full of tourists from Iowa that have never seen a building taller than 5 stories.

No excuses.  The place is just too damned small.
I bought a charcoal 2-button Hugo Boss suit in Portland (no sales tax, dude) during a business trip.  Being the penny-pincher that I am, I was looking to take advantage to the cheaper tailoring fees offered by NR to customers that make purchases here.  Failure.

The tailor was competent and my suit fits great, but the experience was a PITA (pain in the ass, dude).  It took me an hour to birddog the lady, and another to get into one of the 3 dressing booths...

I hear that they are looking to move into a new building.  Until they do so, stay away (unless you are a tourist)!

My heart really belongs to Macy's, but sometimes I check out Nordstrom Rack, and sometimes I find something.

I don't love the store, but they have a pretty good selection of shoes and designer handbags that us ladies love.

I am confused though. The second shoe at the counter, I get. But where are women's clothes, do they not have any?? So first floor is purses, perfumes, limited house stuff and registers. Second floor is all shoes and third is men's. Hmm is there a password I don't now about?

Remember: NR is more expensive than Ross but you won't need as much sanitizer when you leave this store.

Its can be a beautiful thing of deals and also downright ugly if you don't pick your timing well my fellow shoppers.
We all know and should greatly apply the phrase to here "the early bird gets the worm".
Its doubtful that you'll get any worms here, unless you decide to show up during the weekend in the middle to late of the day - and then your screwed with the havoc of wrestling teens, pushy moms, and lots of bored males. And lets not mention you WILL face a horrid long line to the cashier. However, I found showing up either early on weekdays or right when the doors open to the weekend then its your best chance to comb through the racks without worry of being sucked in by the crowd.

Its not a bad place, just come prepared and ready to search!

This Rack is fairly large and well organized.  They have a huge selection of name brand merchandise for a fraction of the original price, though at times the prices are still a little high.  The bottom floor has a large inventory of clothing for teen girls to women, so browsing through each rack can take some time.  The jewelry section, however, offers very minimal products so it's just a hit-or-miss if you see something that suits you.

I loves me some Nordstrom, so I loves me some Norstrom rack even more (times 1.5 for the savings).

Seriously - if you're a guy, and you like the fashions at Nordstrom, there's no reason not to be shopping at the Rack. It's the same stuff you'd get in the store, only 50% off. Sure, you don't get as nice of an experience, but whatever - you probably hate shopping anyway since you're a dude (stereotype much? yes, thank you).

Men's fashion styles change so infrequently that you can buy stuff from the Rack without worrying you're getting a discount because you'll look like you're Leif Garrett (from the 70s, not the strung-out heroin addict Leif Garrett).

My last visit I scored two pairs of fancy jeans for 1/2 the regular price (making them only "whoah" rather than "are you fscking sh*tting me" in terms of cost), and a pair of shorts for like $20.

So in closing I'd say look at me, now back at you, now back at me. Get yourself to the Rack.

Shoes galore!! A whole floor dedicated to women's shoes, what more can a girl ask for?? Oh right, a size that fits. Don't get me wrong, I have tiny feet, size 4- 4.5, so it was difficult for me to find shoes I liked that fit. Everyone else had a blast trying on shoes.

The downside to it is that it's a small location and they didn't have women's clothes. They did have a floor for men's shoes and clothes though.

It is what it is. If you want a clean, organized store and salespeople that will bend over backwards for you, go to Nordstrom. If you're feeling adventurous and want to find some mad bargains, come on down to Nordstrom Rack and bring your A-game.

It's messy. The salespeople just don't give two shits about their jobs. Sometimes the deals just aren't that good. But if you hunt, you can find some amazing bargains. I once snagged a pair of beautiful black leather riding boots by Dolce Vita for 50% off, they've lasted me two seasons and still going strong. Haters to the left, Nordstrom Rack, I love you long time.

Great place if you are willing to invest time and search! I unfortunately do not fall into that category - I like things orderly and categorized so this place is my nightmare because the deals are great but it's overwhelming to find sizes and colours! There are lots of great deals with lots of good designer items available on the three floors. I only ventured into the shoe area and found a pair of Michael Kors for $60, which is a great deal compared to the "sale" price I saw at home in Canada which went for $130 (and that's after multiple discounts).

Staff are spread thin here but they are helpful when you find them. The cashiers were hilarious - another plus. Bathrooms near the end of the day were a bit hideous and scary so keep that in mind (and you need an access code).

Overall, worth a look but only if you don't get a splitting headache from the mess!

Nordstrom Rack is very hit or miss for guys, depending on your individual style, how much you're looking to spend, what shipments they're getting from the previous season, and how recently their stock has been refreshed.

Shoe-wise, I don't find incredible deals. The prices are fair, the selection is ok, but they don't have a ton of reasonably priced boots.

Accessory-wise, the prices are decent, the usual branded belts, cheap smartwool socks, cheap but quality scarves, wallets, though the high-end imprint sunglasses leave me a bit cold.

Jeanswise, they usually have a great selection of R&R, Diesel, TR and others, at consistent prices. They're not the cheapest, but they're certainly less than retail.

They usually have a few racks of lower-end t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, the Quicksilver-ish surf/skate wear, not at huge discounts.

Dress shirts and ties, the selection is decent and fairly cheap, slightly more expensive than you'll find at the other outlets, but likely offering better quality product lines.

Underwear, you don't find a lot of great stuff, it's mostly overpriced. You'd be better off going to Macy's. For that matter, whenever I go out shopping, I definitely cycle between Macy's and NR, if I don't find something I want at one, I can usually find it at the other.

3 times out of 4, I don't find anything I want at NR unless I'm looking for something specific. But when I do see something that fits my style, it's usually a very good choice, and something I wouldn't have encountered elsewhere. Visit the Rack, and visit it often!

To be fair, I'm writing this review based upon one visit during the week between Christmas and New Years.  That means two things:  1) My review is likely inaccurate regarding how crowded the store was, and 2) I'm absolutely nuts for shopping during that week.

I had received a Groupon (http://www.groupon.com...) for this store for Christmas.  My lovely husband knows better than to try to buy me pants without my knowledge.  When they inevitably don't fit over my giant butt, snakes grow out of my head, and I shoot laser beams from my eyes.  He smartly decided to give me the money and let me choose the pants.

Anyway, the store was a bit of a clusterf*ck because, I imagine, many people bought that Groupon for mentally unstable loved ones during the holidays.  And, for some ridiculous reason, Nordstrom Rack decided it should expire on December 31.

All that said, I found what I wanted in less than a half hour and was in the monster checkout line in no time.  And, inconceivably, the clerk was very friendly, despite the half-crazed holiday bargain shopper zombies eating each other alive in line.

Three stars until I get a chance to go there on a regular day.

As long as you enter with determination, you're certain to find what you are looking for. I've walked out with so many great steals!

It's the best place to find high quality jeans or shoes.

Those who are faint of heart, this may not be the shopping destination for you.

It's amusing that a place (Nordstrom) so full of decadence and whatnot has such a crummy "take what you can get!" outlet store. I have been to the Nordstrom Rack in the Valley in LA and while it was a pretty standard boring store, I think because this Rack was in downtown, it just felt a little grimier than normal.

There are always deals to be had... if you can find what you are looking for - *in best Forrest Gump impression voice* Nordstrom Rack is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you're gonna get.

On this particular trip though, I was able to score another Ralph Lauren silver "pearl" necklace to match my choker necklace I purchased at Nordstrom in Austin and some tights since THIS CITY IS JUST TOO COLD TO GO BARE LEGG-ED.

My boyfriend was also able to find a couple pairs of shoes too, so our trip was indeed successful.

The bad though? I don't think the employees want to be there. I mean, I guess working at Nordstrom Rack is like Nordstrom jail for the people who have done bad things at a regular Nordstrom, like spit on the Chanel handbags in a rage or something but man, they just seemed miserable. I guess though if I had to deal with crazy bargain-hunters all-day, I would want to run screaming from the building myself.

So be warned. You may find something, you may not. It all depends, deal hunters. Good luck on the shopping safari!

Like all Nordstrom Racks, it's kind of a crapshoot if you're looking for something specific.  But if you're just browsing, and depending on how recently they put a new shipment out on the floor, there's a good chance you'll find something that's coming home with you.  It might be a shirt, some cuff links, socks, a watch, or some other seasonal doodad you have to walk by while you wait for the cashier.

I'm a fan of the Ben Sherman and Penguin button-down shirts, typically found at a third of the price as the proper Nordstrom store, and shoes can be a real steal if you have the patience to deal with the shoe counter system.  My most recent score was a swanky pair of Cole Haan dress shoes (still in the box!) for half price.

Their onsite tailoring is reasonably priced and they've always done a good job hemming jeans and pants, but the one time I had some shirts taken in they came back significantly smaller than what they'd measured, as if they'd gone with a slim Euro-style cut instead of the tapered, fitted cut I requested.  While I appreciate being perceived as slimmer than I actually am, it rendered all but one of the shirts unwearable.

Apart from that, The Rack is almost always the first place I hit when I'm out clothes shopping, which usually lets me tick a few items off my list before hitting the full-price shops.

If you love Nordstrom but can't afford to, this store is awesome.  What's stocked changes on a regular basis, but you can almost always find a good deal on something you want.  Today I found an incredible sweater for cheap and almost bought a dress I didn't need because it was cute and marked down so much.  With Christmas shopping season upon us, the lines are huge this time of year, but if moves quickly and the cashiers have a shocking amount of holiday cheer considering the circumstances.

If you're shopping downtown, definitely walk over here.  It's worth it.

Found a beautiful Max Studio chocolate brown 3 1/4 length sleeved sweater dress with specks of oatmeal sprinkled in there. It was originally $119 but it was marked down to $49. There was a long line at checkout, but they have so many cashiers that it went extremely quickly. The lady in the dressing rooms was so nice and attentive and when I asked her where they sell their leggings, she got a coworker to take me there and show me what they had. :)

I think I had very high expectations for this Nordstrom Rack located down the street from the flagship Nordstrom store.  Though the location is large (4 floors) - the selection of shoes and designer clothing were all in such terrible condition - I couldn't fathom paying the prices they were still going for!
if you're in Seattle for vacation like I was - I wouldn't bother going in.  It's like finding a needle in the haystack + paying for parking somewhere!
We happily walked a couple more blocks and enjoyed ourselves and some sales at the flagship Nordstrom store!

Every time i come to Seattle i visit this store. Unless i have no $$. I had been going there for 11 years before i realized that there was a basement full of clothes. I knew that there was an upstairs with all the shoes. But, the main level kept me so entertained that i never needed to leave. All with that great Nordstrom customer service. You can even use your Nordstrom card here!   I have got the best and coolest purses here by far. Including the very best.L.A.M.B/ What more can you say!

Recently, I bought a Groupon for here and it was quite a steal....$25 for $50 worth of merchandise. I figured I could get some gifts and maybe something for myself.

I was downtown shopping for Black Friday and decided to see if I could wade through the mess and find a deal. After not shopping here for almost a year I really wanted to give it another chance. I  braced myself for impact, I stood outside and could see the scene. Shoes flying into my face, tripping over mounds of clothes and getting elbowed left and right.

Surprisingly, I was way off! The store was extremely organized...especially the shoe section. Not even one pair on the floor!  I managed to get some great Diesel shoes as a gift...with the Groupon they were only $20! Whaaaaaat. These retail for over $60.

I reached the cash register within a minute and expected the cashier to be exhausted and glossy eyed. Not the case- my cashier was bright eyed, smiled and even made small talk. Nice :)

Based on this experience I will continue to visit here and partake in some deals!
