History

"Is a designer really necessary and can they save you money?
Some clients are frightened off by the perceived costs of using an Interior Designer or Decorator believing that they are outrageously expensive and are only intent on impressing their own style on your home / office. However, not using a designer can work out costlier in the long run, as well as time-consuming and stressful. Clients do not always have the time to explore the endless possibilities available to create their dream environments. Trying to choose from among the myriad of products offered in lifestyle stores and publications is confusing and overwhelming. The end result of a do-it-yourself job is often a dreadful mistake that is even more expensive to undo.
Using the services of a professional designer is therefore highly recommended. Every designer is unique and their charges vary according to their knowledge and experience so that you should be able to find a designer that meets your needs.
Meet the Business Owner: Norah H.
Born in Brantford Ontario and experiencing most of the Canadian Provinces, Norah was exposed to many different cultures growing up. She established herself on Haida Gwaii where her ethnicity originates. She was exposed to unlimited forms of native art and culture, and found her roots for design. After graduating Vancouver Island University with a Diploma in Interior Design she has learned how form and function are complex features in the structure and design of a space. She has an eye for colour coordination and the knowledge for custom millwork. With several years out in the field she has developed her talents with furniture designs, floor plan layouts, and colour coordination. The detail to which she pays great attention to allows her the opportunity to create a well-balanced atmosphere for her clients. Norah's experience with one-on-one consultations guides a creative collaboration with her clients. Her experience and professional presentation follow all aspects of design.
