Review from Ben B.
As soon as fall hits Nova Scotia, I can't get Noggins out of my noggin. With a renowned corn maze that changes up every single year, a haunted house, wagon rides, fresh produce, playgrounds, kids games, and a cute canteen, this place is a must-visit when you just need to get out of the city.
Here's what you...
Leave Halifax at your leisure, take the Grand Pré exit off the highway and stop in at the Just Us museum for a nice cup of java, then continue on the old highway through picturesque Wolfville. Drive through the downtown, keep going straight, and you can't miss Noggins on your right-hand side.
Bonus points for being close to civilization and easy to find!!
You can putter around the farm and the market for free but if you pay the admission ($9 for grown-ups), you get access to all the things mentioned above including the corn maze (where you can easily spend two hours if you're really committed to checking off all the stations hidden within) and horse-drawn wagons.
Don't miss the $1.50 corn on the cob that's dipped in a thermos of hot melted butter before your eyes! -

Corn maze.
Corn maze.
Corn maze!
CORN MAZE!!
Just over an hour outside of Halifax, you will find a great adventure in the late summer/early fall. Noggins' corn maze has been going for several years and it's a fun time for people of all ages. As you navigate the maze, your goal is to collect a variety of clues. You can use the map if you want. But that's cheating! Seriously, try to find the clues all on your own.
Tip: Don't take the flag. It just becomes a pain.
After you finish the maze, there are lots of activities for kids; mini-mazes, toys and a haunted house (later in the season). Oh and corn on the cob. Sweet, delicious corn on the cob. Which they dip inside a Thermos of butter. [Insert Homer Simpson's drool sound here.]
Oh and lots of fantastic fresh food and baked goods.

The corn maze has become a fall tradition for me. Hot corn dipped in butter doesnt hurt the case for convincing friends to come along. There are lots of fun fall activities to keep you busy for most of a day!
