Been there over the weekend for the 1st time.
We have previously dined at the Fairview (route 1-9?) restaurant 5-7 times and loved it.
I take the Chicken with the wine-cream-mushrum sauce, family goes for the steaks
Food is great, Taste and Value. This place is on our dinning schedule for at least one weekend a month. -

Clifton, NJ
This place has been on my "places to try" for a while. I have only been here once and do not have any other place to compare it to so I would not know if it is in fact "as good as it gets." However, I can say that I have had a very good first impression and experience of this restaurant and hope to try it's other location in Clifton. I came in with a group of 9 at around 830pm or 9 on a wednesday night. It was not too crowded and we did not have to wait for a table even with our group of 9. My friends who have already been here before suggested to order the pandebono and the pechuga a la colombiana.
The pandebono (bread with cheese baked inside) didn't wow me but I'm glad I was able to try it. I ordered the pechuga entree with sides of rice and beans. Best decision ever! The plates are huge! The beans came in in a separate bowl and it was REALLY good, especially when spooned over the white rice. The chicken and mushroom sauce was amazing! I could barely finish half of my food so I took it home and it provided me with 2 more meals worth of food. Usually I would cringe about paying $11 for just one meal, but it lasted me for 3 meals so I could not complain.
An added bonus to this experience: There was confusion when we got the check because we asked for separate checks and only two orders were separated. I went up to the register and the staff saw me holding 3 credit cards and some cash and they started to look nervous, so I asked if they would still be able to separate the checks to make it easier for all of us and, although it took a little bit of time, we were able to efficiently separate the checks between each person's order. Without the staff's patience and cooperation, my first experience here could have easily turned sour. Great job, Noches de Columbia. This restaurant definitely exceeded my expectations and I undoubtedly will be back for more. -

I thought I had been to every restaurant worth going to in Englewood, but I was wrong! At first, I had thought this was just a breakfast bar but I was wrong! Walk past the wafting aromas of pastries and fresh coffee and you find a large and sunny restaurant!
The service was great, quick and to the point! The menu was expansive... breakfast or lunch? Hard choice at 11am. I chose lunch. Salads, soups, entrees from vegetarian to every meat you could imagine! In the end, I chose a salad (feeling not so hungry despite the delicious looking menu) and I was not disappointed. The meat was juicy and tender, the greens were fresh and crisp, the avocados were fresh, and I loved the friend plantains. The salad was huge and I happily took the rest home. Can't beat the prices either!! I really don't know how they afford to do it.
I snooped around when I went to the bathroom and it looks to be a bar area in the back? Man, they have you covered, from breakfast to late night! They probably close the bar and escort everyone to the cafe area on weekends?!
I plan to return again soon since I work in Englewood Cliffs, and see if they cater so we can have it for a lunch at work! Two thumbs up right here. -

I went to this restaurant when I had the worst cold, but I still managed to enjoy the food & atmosphere of Noches De Colombia. My girlfriend, my son & I arrived around 4:30pm on a Friday. The place was half full. By 5:10pm, it was completely packed. This is a popular place.
There is a take out section & a seperate area that's used for parties & musical performances. The only downside is that parking can be a little tough. But it's worth the struggle. -

Not all noches are created equal!!!
I have been going to noches for a while ...frequented this place a few times too. But usually I go to their other location because I just feel more comfortable there. When I happened to be in the area today, I decided to stop by here because I know at noches I am sure that I would get a good meal. I was wrong....
Something has changed. I love the chucharrones. Those fried pork skins, crispy and salty. I thought this could never be bad...I was proven wrong. It was fatty and greasy but not in a good way. I got the calamari. It was so dry and bland. And where is the calamari??? Its so thin, reminded me of those onion ring chips in a bag but slightly seafood flavored.
I wanted to give this place a 1 star but their pandebono was still solid.
What happened?!!?
I am now tempted to go to my usual place and try the same dishes there to make sure that at least that location is still the same.
I am sad. -

Come on Down - The Price is Right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2 main courses 6 side dishes 4 empanades and 3 pandebono's
all for $33
leftovers too!!! :) Call the owner crazy eddie because these prices are INSANE!!!!!!
So what makes this place a 4? Well its not their awesome mariachi band because those guys are rock stars in 3 amigos getup. Always a joy to see them!!
What bumped them down to a 4 rather then a 5 and if their was a 4.5 i'd give it
1. The waitress - asking her to recommend a dish was like pulling teeth - I couldn't get any answer from her other then "it comes with 2 sides." ugh! so annoying.
2.street meter parking - ew, not a fan! (even tho i got a great spot)
3. ordered the food to go - 1 entree was wrong. See reason 1.
went there at 6:30 on a saturday never thinking I'd get a table.I totally could have, o well, I had already placed my order.
chicken and rice - was good but boring considering!!
I ordered the chicken and shrimp, but the got chiken and mushroom instead. It didn't matter because This meal was a Frkn Revalation!!!!
I wanted to drizzle this cream over everything and guess what? I did :)~
The only thing I wouldn't try again is the potato in tomato - Gross!!
Otherwise everything else
Muy delicioso!!!
PS - it's BYOB - the liquor store across the st. completely over priced!! -

Love this place!!!! And i cant say that enough especially with their new bakery. Everything is good and the decor is inviting and clean.
Now for the negatives... The serving sizes aren't always consistent especially with the steak. And as for the service, if the waitresss' were working as hard as those skin tight pants are to stay on they'd be a 5 star in my book! -

Very simple...the restaurant is warm and friendly...waitress was attentive and personable..she earned her tip lol. The only complaint is that the food was a bit bland unlike dominican style. Yet the portions were plentiful. Add more flavor and it would earn an extra star!

O.O Wow!!!
Great food at a great price. I really wish the restaurant was a little bigger because the wait on a Sunday was around 20-25 minutes. Good things come to those who wait, right? ^__________________^ -

Oh those pandebono's! Warm chewy buns with an almost sweet-rice like texture (made of yucca) with a light melty cheesy filling. Delicious - definitely try one, then order 2 more to eat with dinner, and take 6 home with you for breakfast/brunch the following day.
If you're a carnivore like me, go for their steak and onions or carne asada dishes. Both come with flat large pieces of beef that are almost heavily seasoned with a garlic-salt rub. Both were pretty hefty in portions (but that could also have been due to the 3 pandebonos that I had as my "appetizer").
If you're a pescatarian, I'd recommend the red snapper over the tilapia, but it's your choice. Both were flaky and tender. Shrimp dishes tended to be on the small end in terms of size and quantity.
For drinks, the smoothies and juices were both delicious. Sweet, thick, refreshing.
It's also BYOB, so bring your fave beer and they'll supply with the glasses!
p.s. it gets crowded most nights, but they seat people until right before closing, so that's a plus for those who like late dinners. -

I ordered from here last weekend because I was jonesing for some Hispanic food and I will definitely be ordering again, I got SOOO MUCH food for $30.
The empanadas are good but lacking in flavor, they desperately need some of the salsa which came with my food but IDK if it was intended for the empanadas. Growing up with Colombian babysitters all my life I know a good empanada when I eat one and these only get 3.5 stars in my book.
I had the Mar Y Tierra which is skirt steak and garlic shrimp, GOD DAMN!
They were both so delicious I was making sex noises while eating it.
Comes with fresh roma tomatoes and red onion which somehow perfectly tied the whole dish together with the steak. I highly recommend ordering this.
I ordered the Bandeja Paisa for my boyfriend which is a typical Colombian dinner plate which consists of eggs, steak, rice, beans, fried pork belly, sweet and fried plantains, and chorizo/sausage.
It was seriously too much food and too many flavors for me, but the beans were some of the best I have ever had, so flavorful. My boyfriend loved it though. It seems to me like more of a man-meal than a lady meal.
It helps if you speak Spanish when ordering because the girl i spoke to didn't speak English and it made it highly frustrating & complicated to tell her my address. So if you have a hispanic friend bring them with you.
I can't wait to go back to try more dishes. -

I have ordered from this place many times. It's ok. Most of the time I order breakfast as there isn't much options in my neighborhood.
I wished I could say they are more efficient with delivery. Last time I had to wait for
1 1/2 hour for my food to get there and I live two blocks up from them! I didn't even order anything complicated. Eggs and 2 croissants.
The chicken and rice is average. The oxtail is so so and The breakfast is oright. The only reason I order from here from time to time is because of my husband who enjoys eggs in the morning. Honestly I think he also is over this place. -

My go to spot for some Latin food in Jerzee.
I didn't ordered my fried pork belly looking thing, cause I was full coming here. Ballz!
I had the fish with the white sauce - came with lettuce and smashed up plantains.
Sauce wasn't too heavy.
*Thanks for the recommendation EZ.
*Super duper inexpensive. -

Love! I've gone there twice with my boyfriend and both times we left happy and stuffed.
We loveeeee the empanadas (little bread pastries with beef inside) and could (but resist) making a meal out of those. And they're super cheap at $1.25 each!
We tried the beef soup which was a complete fail. Not much flavor and too much cilantro (I never thought I'd see the day those words came out of my mouth) But nicely enough the waitress didn't put it on our tab after forgetting to bring it out the first time and then informing us that it was the last of the soup.
I always order the Mar y Tierra (steak, shrimp on a sizzling pan with onions and tomatoes) and I loveeeeee it. No other words. It's just good food. I also get an order of yellow rice on the side. I love their rice!
My boyfriend got the traditional dish with everything in it the first time (forgot what it's called but it's like the first thing on their menu. if I remember correctly theres steak, chicharron which is deep fried pork amazingg, avocado and other things). This dish would have been enough for the both of us!
Second time around he got the Churasco (grilled skirt steak) which was amazing and comes with beans.
I like that the water comes with little icecubes which are fun to chew (I'm weird) and the green salsa they give you in little cups is amazinggggg. I always ask for more and swipe the leftovers hehe.
The waitstaff is super friendly too. Oh and it's BYOB. Street parking isn't that hard to find either. A favorite of mine! -

This place is just great. Comparable to any spot in Queens, but with less parking headaches.
The best dishes to get are: the bandeja paisa, Mar y Mar, any salteado dish, and any dish with the cream sauce--- which is to die for. Really, there's no dish here that isn't a delight to eat.
I love this restaurant, love the cheap prices and gargantuan portions, plus enjoy the friendly staff. I'll always come back. -

My first time here I went with my 2 friends who came here a few times raving about the food. They warned me that the service is slow, but it was nothing to worry about. I don't know if I came on a particularly bad day but the service was terrible.
It took 10 mins after seated to get service and more than 30 mins to get our food. Our waitress did not refill our sodas, got our order wrong, and missed 2 items we asked for and mixed up the sides, didn't ask us how our food was, and she didn't even get us the check, despite asking multiple times.
We had more service from the busboy than the waitress who was busy chatting up with customers. He was nice enough to give us some water, and ended up giving us the check and refill boxes. I think our service would of been better if we spoke Spanish.
The only reason I am giving a generous 2 stars is because of the food. I ordered a chicken dish with creamed mushrooms which was delicious, cooked perfectly and well seasoned. I tried my friend's shrimp dish (sorry I can't remember what else was in it) it was delicious but the shrimp was small. The plantains were pretty good, both the sweet and starchy kinds.
I would never eat in at this restaurant again, but maybe I would order takeout from here. -

This is a lunch-only review, as I've only been at Noches de Columbia for lunch.
The service and the food are both stellar. Wait times are not extensive. I have found service to be both attentive and helpful.
The pricing of the food is surprisingly fair given the quality. With apologies as to formal names, the steak and shrimp salad is outstanding, both for the amount of food and the quality. The ceviche was good, although it clearly was not marinated...However, it cannot be expected to be marinated at a restaurant. Sides are uniformly good.
This is well worth multiple visits. -

Great Colombian food here. I have friends from Barranquilla and they said the food here made them think of home.
Aside from the authenticity the food is just genuinely very good. Tasty and generous portions with fresh ingredients. Nothing but good to say about this restaurant. -

If your looking for a very typical Colombian experience, yes with snarky looks if your shoes don't match your outfit and Colombian waitresses with clothes so tight they might rip at the seams....Noches is where you need to be!
As pointed out by many others their biggest downfall is their slowness (at times, so slow ur row Erik O.- and ur corny spanglish review). They are usually pretty busy and with only a hand-full of waitresses, they're usually running around and it'll take a few times to get their attention. With that said, make sure you order everything your heart desire from the menu when you do see her! Since the prices are sooo reasonable, you'll probably want to order most of the pictures you see.
Meals - Here are a few of my all time favorites, under $12 & enough for 2 meals:
1. Pollo Salteado con arroz blanco y tostones (strips of chicken breast sauteed with peppers, onions & fries in a tomato sauce, white rice and fried green plantians)
2. Bistec encebollado con arroz blanco y maduros (steak with grilled onions and sweet plantains)
3. Mar y tierra y tostones (skirt steak with garlic shrimp, served in a sizzling pan with tomato & onions- my mouth is watering as I type this)
4. Paisita (the traditional Colombian plate, rice, steak, red beans, sweet plantains, avocado, corn biscuit, fried egg- yes all that for $9.50.
5. Calamares con papitas - Fried calamari, which you would think Colombians can't make, but are actually delish and for $7 a meal, you can't go wrong.
Ok, side note, you MUST have one empanada and pan de bono when your there. They make the best ones. You also MUST have a fresas con crema for desert...you MUST. I know it might sound like a lot of food, so bring a small army to share it with.
Oh P.S. this location is BYOB...just when you thought it couldn't get any better...it just did. -

Tasty food. Generous portions. Be ready to take some home unless you have a HUGE appetite. The sides are generous, too. Plantains, yellow rice, french fries, beans. Wish they had a couple of healthier sides, too, other than salad.
Our server was very nice. Service was slow though. It took us forever to get our check so we could get out the door. Our server was nowhere to be found. The place was pretty filled by the time we left on a Wednesday night.
I'll be back! -

So, I came here a couple of weeks ago with my best friend, and even though I was overwhelmed by their portions (I wasn't very hungry that day), I did love it. I knew I had to bring the BF and brother! This Colombian restaurant is one of my new places to eat. First thing first, the menu has pictures of all the entrees, so you know exactly what your going to order (total plus!). Second, the prices are awesome! The average price of each entree is about $10.95, and the portions are pretty nice (not Cheesecake Factory large, but enough for you to bring your food home). As for the quality of the food, I personally loved it. Awesome, awesome food. You leave feeling full and satisfied. The only thing I can't do is really compare it to another Colombian restaurant, but the two times I have come here, it's always been packed! It must be good! Oh, one last thing, before you and your food baby leave the restaurant, make sure you past by the bakery and pick up some Pan de Bono. It's amaze-balls.. literally lol.

No, no Noches. Your food es bueno but your service makes me wonder why you have more than one table and a brood of purple shirt-wearing waitresses. Clearly, taking people's orders in a timely manner is not their forte. Points though for having the menu in all colorful pictures, a la Denny's (but can I get my Colombian version of Moons-Over my-Hammys, por favor?).
After the five hours it takes to actually get a waitress to acknowledge your existence (I kid, it's somewhere around three), the actual food comes out really rapido. But they don't get points for that because generally, any non-super fancypants Latin restaurant is quick with the food.
Most of the dishes are around $10, but the plate is pretty generous. If you're not crazy hungry, you'll probably have leftovers. I've gotten the tilapia plates both times I've been there, and it was like good old comfort food from my childhood (that is if I grew up Colombian).
Some advice though: Don't ask for substitutions. They will look at you with embarrassment and then take all noche to come back if you're not ready. -

What a place to go to if you don't have a lot of money, but a big appetite. I am not sure if the food is definitely Colombian food, but it sure is good. I got a skirt steak, the churasco with rice and beans for less than $20. It was very good and tasty. Espressos are $1 each. Everything is cheap and delicious. I enjoy going back because the waitresses are very friendly. Its BOYB which is nice too so you can have some wine with dinner and not pay 5 times what the store charges.
I recommend this place to anyone in the area looking for a nice meal for a very fair price. -

Straight to the facts: For $8 I got a thin pounded steak, scrambled eggs with veggies and corn bits, plantains, two corn cakes. For $3.30 I got 3 huge empanadas - see picture for reference. The little container of salsa are so good, I must have went through at least 6 of them :)
The food was great and came out fast, and nothing can beat the price. Our server was kind and friendly, but kind of took forever with our drinks - our water came out 5 minutes after the entrees, and our flavored slushy drink came out 5 minutes before the check. But I still really liked the food. -

As far as Colombian food goes this place is pretty good. But the service is the worst I Have EVER experienced. Food came out in 10 minute intervals... Rice then beans then chicken. And don't try asking for another drink because it will come out after u pay the bill.
Food --- great
Price --- ok
Service --- horrible -

This is my kinda joint. I love the food here. Tasty and you get a lot of bang for your buck. Their hot sauce is one the best Ive had. Most dishes I had here you can't miss. Chicken, beef, fish, soup whatever. All good... i'd go everyday if I could but would sadly be fat. portions son.

I really liked this place. The staff was very friendly and attentive even though they were busy. The food was great. I always get the Bandeja or Montana whenever I eat Colombian or Ecuadorian and it was really good. Huge portions, great prices. I will be back.
If there were any draw backs, I'd say the styrofoam cups are a bummer and the music is a bit loud. -

Palisades Park, NJ
Great food, slow service. They really need to hire more servers at this restaurant. Also, why does this sit-down restaurant use styrofoam cups for cold drinks? Don't the owners of this restaurant know how bad this is for the environment?
One more thing, they do not accept American Express cards, which normally wouldn't be a big deal, BUT they continue to use bill "receipt" holders that bear the American Express logo. Our server could not explain this.
Also, they don't serve liquor. That is pretty much unheard of these days.... :( -
Review from David A. M.

Great Food! The specialize is typical Colombian food with very generous portions. You will have leftovers and the table can get very crowded with all the sides that accompany the main dish. The staff is very nice and accommodating, just don't expect a professorial wait staff. My only complaint is with language barriers. I speak Spanish but when I go with people who don't the waitresses struggle taking their orders and look to me to translate. If you can get past that you are in for a great Colombian meal.
