Review from Ryan M.

I've been waiting to review No. 1 Beef Noodle for awhile, since I've actually had their beef noodle 5 or 6 times. No. 1 Beef Noodle's owners also own Beefy Beef on Main and New Age on Kingsway under the Best Western; BTW, New Age is excellent for most Taiwanese food! I recommend their San Bei Ji (3 Spice Chicken).
With a name like No. 1 Beef Noodle, you'd expect a pretty good soup, right? Well, I'd recommend bringing your expectations down a few notches when you go to No. 1.
The best part of their soup is the beef; it's pretty tender and isn't too lean; actually it goes down pretty easy (B+). The noodles are probably the worst part because they're overcooked and soggy; I actually heard that the noodles are supposed to be homemade; if it's true, then No. 1 might have a better result if they go back to boxed noodles (C-). I'm happy to say that they did include cabbage on the soup; my concern is that it was both sweet and sour; sweet pickled things always throw me off, so I wasn't a fan (C). The broth was fine; bland, but acceptable (B).
Overall, another C+ soup. Too bad.
I guess if you can get the name No. 1, you might as well call your restaurant that; however, in this case, a more accurate name might be 'Average Beef Noodle House'.
Anyways, No. 1 is an ok place to go for bubble tea, and some of their other dishes are actually pretty good; just be patient about finding parking. -

If I could give less than one star, I would! This place is completely awful! No one greeted me at the door or even offered to seat me even though it says to "please wait to be seated". Finally, I gave up waiting to be noticed, and just said, "I'm sitting here". The waiter gave me a curt nod to affirm my decision. At this point, I'm already unimpressed.
I wanted to see how much worse this could get, so I just waited patiently to see how long it would take for someone to give me a menu. It took 15 whole minutes of being ignored when I finally spoke up and said, "Can I get some menus?" The only reason I relented was because my aunt and mom came in, and I didn't want them waiting.
After we got our menus, the waiter actually decided to do his job and asked if we wanted drinks, so we ordered. Again, it took a decade to get our beverages, and when he finally brought them, he forgot he was a waiter and didn't take our order, so we had to flag him down again to take our order.
We waited a long time for our food. In fact, people who sat down after us were starting to get their food before us. My mom joked, saying he probably forgot to put in our order. Sadly, it was no joke. Moments later, he returned apologizing that he didn't put in our order. We had waited an HOUR! By this time I was livid. Even my mother, who is way more patient than me, was furious with the waiter.
I will NEVER go back here, and I will NEVER recommend that anyone else eat here either. I am really stupid because I have had equally poor service in the past and I still decided to go back this time just to get pissed off.....I am pretty mad at myself for that. Next time I even think about giving them another chance, I will slap myself in the face. #FML
Do not go to this restaurant. The food is not the great, the service is TERRIBLE (waiters are rude, lazy, forgetful, inattentive, unprofessional), and the parking situation is a pain...
This restaurant needs to throw in the towel. They clearly don't give a rat's behind about their image or customers....
