Though I've moved further and further away, I've continued to make my way to Nicole for her amazing facial treatments! Every time I walk away with healthy, glowing skin and more knowledge on how to keep it that way. From the time I arrive at her cozy studio I feel pampered. The space is a sweet and elegant (while unpretentious) haven in the bustle of the city...and parking is usually easy and meter-free!! Nicole's attention to detail and comfort are fully felt in the environment she created and in the services she offers. Do yourself a favor and check it out!!

I was pretty disappointed with my appointment here. While I really liked the Esthetician (personality wise)...I wasn't so happy with the wax.
First, she didn't wear gloves. I know a lot of places do this and they just maneuver around the area with out actually touching your lady bits but it just really creeps me out.
Second, she double dipped. I didn't realize this until she was almost done or I would not have proceeded with the wax. Gross, gross, gross!
Third, holy hell did it hurt like a B! I am a regular waxer and I do have a high pain tolerance so I'm not quite sure what was going on there. Usually when I am getting waxed the Esthetician comments about how high my pain tolerance is...this time I was jumping off the table with every rip.
Fourth, at the end, she asked me to rub some ointment all over myself. I am sure this is because she wasn't wearing gloves so she couldn't really do it herself but I am paying for a service so I don't want to do it myself. It's like going to have a facial and being told to put my own moisturizer on.

I found Nicole using Yelp, and I couldn't be happier.
I went for a Brazilian (Nicole did a fantastic job, the best I can remember), and I will definitely go back for any other waxing or other type of service that she offers. The space is very welcoming, and Nicole is incredibly skilled, kind and genuine. I would recommend her again and again. Thanks! -

A customer of spas for many years and in different cities, Nicole Burke is THE best place to go for a facial in San Francisco. My go-to esthetician is the beautiful Miss Erin. She was extremely kind, amicable, and most importantly, attentive and gifted at her skincare. She has a certain zen to her, which comes across in her work. Also, she miraculously worked out the killer knots in my neck -- complimentary!!! Every experience I had with her at Nicole Burke resulted in the most beautiful glowing skin I have ever had. They skincare lines NB uses are top-notch, officially getting me hooked to San Fran's own, In Fiore (the most aromatic luxurious floral/plant based line). I'm excited I'm moving back to SF soon so I can go back to Nicole Burke.

Finally held out for a facial with Nicole and am really glad I did. She was great! She took her time explaining everything, helping me figure out the best products and treatments for me, and days later I still feel like I just got a facial. Can't wait to go back. I highly recommend her.

Had the best waxing experience with Molly, she's a sweetheart. And her iPod playlist is so relaxing, love the overall ambience of this place. Its an out of the way location, and I felt very comfortable.. I just might become a regular. No pressure to buy any of their amazing products, but I bought a jar of In Fiore's body balm. This ish is cray! I don't think I'll ever go back to lotion.. or shaving, for that matter.

I used to get facials about once to twice a month in Asia(due to my problematic skin) but then I moved to SF a few years ago and have not found someone I loved so much, that I would go back for regular treatments with.
My skin: sensitive, oily in some parts, lots of clogged pores and some acne. I have been going through a lot of breakouts after getting off the PILL and the drier my skin, is the more breakouts I seem to get.
I have tried almost every product out there, natural, organic, chemical, egg mask, you name it, I tried it. So my last resort was to go on the search again for a wonderful aesthetician.
I heard of NIcole through my colleagues, (they go to her mainly for waxing) "she is amazing, she is the best, she's super nice." I was NOT disappointed.
Nicole took her time with me, listening to me gripe on about my skin issues, as I lay down on the heated massage table. With calm music playing, she starts my facial. She is a wizard at getting out clogged pores with very little pain, AWESOME (since I have so many). She doesn't leave the room to attend to other clients or answer phones, she stays and massages your hands, neck and puts warm towels on your feet, while your mask sets in.
She is very thorough with her extractions, and I have to say, my skin has improved dramatically with just 3 visits. Oh, and her products (In Fiore as well as some other great ones) are paraben free and work great. (she doesn't push you to buy either). She also wrote an email to me to check in to see how my skin is doing...that was pretty amazing too. I am so glad I found her!!!

I still go to Nicole and she is just as great as ever. I felt like I had to write an update bc after going to her for nearly a year, my skin has improved SOOoo much. I have fewer (almost none) breakouts, my skin is softer and more supple (bc of the perfect peels she chooses for me). BUT my main reason, is that Nicole remains to be super sweet, and authentic as a person, and makes me feel so relaxed and calm every time I go get a facial!!! A rare find! -

After moving to SF from San Diego, I spent close to 6 months looking for anywhere that would give a decent wax and facial. I stumbled upon Nicole (guess the stars were aligned that day) and my search ended!
Nicole gives fantastic facials, she is very gentle and thorough on the extractions AND her products are friggin amazing. She does great waxing, her brow wax makes me look fabulous every time. She also rocks at Brazilian waxes- they are quick and as painless as can be (she uses a gentle soft wax, not the strips).
I am a product queen (and a snobby one at that) and I have loved every single one of the unique products she has had me try. I am especially in love with the facial oil, it has really balanced out my skin.
To top it all off, Nicole has a great space (with plenty of parking) and is always playing the best music. It truly is a treat to spend time with Nicole and I always look forward to my appointments. -

Nicole deserves more than 5 stars. While I was living in SF, I visited Nicole for waxing -- she is skilled, her manner welcoming, and her studio is soothing.
And she's excellent in an emergency. A few weeks after moving across the bay, the uni and the stache were ready for maintenance, so I stepped into a store offering waxing. The scene was ugly -- fluorescent lights, cold wax, and moments after my first brow got the strip, I realized I had made a mistake. I left the place half-waxed and called Nicole. She very sweetly offered to fit me in between her day's scheduled appointments, and turned misfortune into beauty. -

Nicole is honest and kind and genuinely listens and cares about your skin care concerns and issues, and is knowledgeable about treatments and products but not trying to sell you something like a lot of skin care providers.
Her space is calm and relaxing and extremely private - no one will see you walking out of the wax room or leaving with a red face.
Her services are thorough yet friendly, and on top of all that she's a real breath of fresh air as a human being.
Your visit will not only be effective, it will be fun, and you're also supporting a local independent business too! I highly recommend Nicole either for that occasional self-pampering facial or for those who need more regular treatments for skin conditions. She'll do you right.Listed in: shop locally

I'm late to the skincare game. I always just washed my face with whatever was around and found lotion too sticky. Well, when you get to be +35 you really should not be doing that. So I found Nicole and she rescued me from my bad habits.
I'm now a convert to a good skincare routine, and it shows. My skin is much smoother and those pesky fine lines are much diminished. I really do have a glowing complexion after a facial.
Nicole really listens when you tell you her things like, "I don't like heavy lotions!" and she'll plan your products accordingly. And her salon is just as adorable and unique as she is. It's a tiny space in a semi-weird area, but don't be deterred. The space is a gorgeous, restful haven, and Nicole will put you at ease as she works her magic on your skin.
I highly recommend her for eyebrow waxing too. I always thought I did a great job on my own eyebrows, but when I had her do them I realized, "ooohhh... that's how they should really look!" Lesson learned.
I also had her do some treatments in the weeks leading up to my wedding. My skin was glowing for the big day! -

I found Nicole on Yelp as I was looking to have a facial on short notice as I am going on a long trip next week. It was so convenient to book and confirm online. I was able to see her thr next day. She is warm and friendly and clearly knows skin care. I had a lovely facial-longer than I had expected. My skin felt wonderful afterward. I would be happy to see her again anytime. I encourage you to give her a try.

I went to Nicole for the first time today to get my legs waxed and she was great !
Her studio is super cute, she plays good music and she is really friendly and personable.
Most of all, she waxed the entirety of my legs in less than an hour and reminded me to breathe on the more sensitive spots.
This is the least painful waxing I have ever gotten and I have found my new favorite spa ! -

I'm not your usual facial client. My usual approach to skin care is shaving in the shower. Until now...
I'm totally hooked on Nicole's work. First, she's just a sweetheart, a real pleasure to spend time with. Second, she really took the time to see what I needed. Third, I seem to be getting a lot of unsolicited compliments: "did you get your haircut?" "You look younger, did you lose weight?" etc.

Its all about skincare!
I have always had a difficult time understanding what my face needed to be healthy. Mainly I've had a difficult time finding a moisturizer that didn't make me break out, which caused me to use nothing and my skin was always super dry. After seeing Erin + having her work on my face, I feel like I've been given a total skin rehaul! I've been using the products she suggested +appreciate that she gave me a descriptive skin care schedule that I have been following. She is a special woman+ I'm so glad to have seen her. I'll be returning soon for Erin's magic touch very soon. I was so in love with my results, that I sent my sister and paid for her entire visit. She has had trouble with her facial skin her entire life as well, but now she's feeling the same way I do. We both have never had such clear, soft and vibrant skin! I promise you its worth it. I am a licensed Esthetician, Massage Therapist and Acupuncturist and can be critical when it comes to skincare and bodywork services. But I recently received a facial from Nicole and must say that her facial went well beyond my expectations. Not too be cliche but I felt as if I entered another dimension and my skin was glowing.
I really would like to give her more than 5 starts for her facial. I was impressed with her presence during the entire facial, the skillful massage technique (a lot of Estheticians blow through the massage because they weren't properly trained), and her encyclopedia-like knowledge of skincare. Nicole used a mixture of the best of the best skincare products. like the luxurious In Fiore (which smelled like a garden of herbs) , CosMedix and 302 Skincare. I love that none of her products have parabens, they all smell fantastic and natural and yet they perform at a high level. She also used a generous amount of products...no skimping. My skin was glowing and I felt like every bit of stress melted away.
I am also happy to announce that Nicole is my mentor and has been training me like crazy for the past couple of weeks. I am now offering Skincare, Acupuncture and a Cleansing program at Nicole Burke Skincare. -

Wow! ... no really guys awesome i had some major facial skin problems I had been traveling in and out of California and in extreme temperatures and my skin was not feeling it. Thanks to Nicole my skin loves me again! she is wonderful thoughtful and really took in to consideration the state of my skin and really took the time to show me options and other regimes outside of skincare i can develop for longterm use. I am extremely happy with my face and all i gotta say is this face is going places i want it to look good =)

Nicole is an experienced esthetician, and I will certainly go back to her again! I went to her for a bikini wax, which is always a bit frightening and not something I look forward to, and she made it a comfortable experience. I have very sensitive skin and she uses wax for sensitive skin that helps a lot. She also doesn't rush you, as many salons and spas tend to do, and to top it off, she's a very nice woman. The space she works in is also pleasant, clean and relaxing. I'll recommend Nicole Burke to all my friends!

I recently had a facial by Nicole and it was a wonderful, relaxing experience! I don't usually go for facials, so I was a little nervous about the process, but Nicole was gentle, soothing and explained all her steps to me as she went. In the end, I had dewy glowing skin. Highly recommend her.

Damn I am a lucky girl! I have known Nicole sine I was 14 and have always had the pleasure of her love and friendship. Now she has taken our relationship to a whole new lever: lash extensions! I never thought that I would become an addict, but I am willing to admit it here. I have never woke up looking so fantastic! Nicole is an awesome esthetician. She has a beautiful sense of touch, and her natural artistic ability has now transformed my eyes! I am going in for my touch up next week and I cannot wait. Her loft is warm, she has nice cozy blankets and I totally passed out while she did my extensions. I woke up and I was a new woman. The fun part is that people keep commenting that I "look different" (gee, could it be that I wake up looking fabulous and don't have a pound of mascara on?). The other thing I loved about my experience is that she does an eye treatment while doing the extensions, so the skin around my eyes felt great. It was like having 2 treatments in one. She is easy to talk to if you are feeling chatty, but also let's you sleep if you need to sleep. Experiencing her work is such a treat and I am so happy to have a new look and one more place to hide out and reinvent myself with such a skilled practitioner (who is a great friend!). Thanx woman: I love you!

I can't wait to make my next appointment! Nicole's warm style and down-to-earth approach made my visit seem so nourishing and essential...luxurious but not like an indulgence. Nicole really listened to my concerns and made some great suggestions. I love all the products she uses and she was able to explain their natural benefits in a very approachable way. I agree with the other review that the wax she uses and her technique were very gentle - not like other experiences I've had! Do your face a favor and check it out!

my wife makes me wax my back. it is certainly not my favorite monthly chore but nicole makes the whole process so easy and relatively painless. it's just like when you're a kid and you have to have blood taken for the first time and you have the nicest doctor that completely takes your mind off it. it extra great because i don't have to wait in a salon full of women before the back waxing experience. really, i am not a fan of waxing or haircuts or anything. but nicole makes the whole thing so pleasant. i can't recommend her enough.
