Oh Nick's. I had to stop going here so often, I could feel my arteries hardening as I stood in line.
There arent too many options in Maritime Centre, so on those wet or snowy I-didnt-pack-my-lunch-days, you have to pick your poison - expensive healthy? or cheap greasy? In my opinion, this place has one of the best cheeseburgers in the city. Im talking classic, not gourmet and its also only $3. If I go, I always say no fries, but they will tuck some into the waxy paper bag anyways. Those random fries bring alot of joy, let me tell you.
Brekky is also great here, classic diner breakfasts and his egg-english muffin sandwich is perfect. People seem to like his haddock special as well and he will never say no to half-fries, half-salad (I try this at many restos but they always say no!).
I think tomorrow will be a nicks day :)Listed in: Mayday..mayday!

If you're one of the many office drones that work at the Maritime Centre, like myself, then you know the little gem in the food court that is Nick's.
Breakfasts are cheap, fast, and fulfilling. Their breakfast sandwiches beat the McYuck's version any day, and the french toast his the spot first thing in the morning.
You can't beat Nick's Meal Deal: a bacon cheeseburger, fries, and a pop for a few dollars. You're guaranteed to hit a lineup on Wednesday's for the pan fried haddock and fries special. Decent donairs also hit the menu a couple of days a week.
It's a standard greasy food court spot, but there's just something charming about chatting with Nick while you watch him cook your food on the grill that makes the food taste a little better. -

I've been to Nick's Place a few times when I just didn't feel like packing a lunch. They're a pretty classic food court restaurant. Hamburgers, fries, it's fast food, but you know, it feels a little better ordering a burger from a guy named Nick than from a clown named Ronald.
The prices are fair and the food is good. You're paying the perfect price for what you're getting and the staff is friendly. What more can you ask for?
Like all the restaurants in the 1505 food court, you probably wouldn't seek out Nick's Place if you weren't working in the building, which is too bad because it's pretty decent. Check it out the next time you trot down Barrington.
