A true old world bakery in the heart of Lonsdale, which is incidentally right across the street from me. Fantastic fresh loaves of bread, a beautiful dessert case, and lovely yeasty doughnuts made fresh daily. So much better than those horrible frozen & nuked ones from TH's down the street!
The service is quick and friendly, and on top of their baked goods, they also carry a huge array of Eastern European (mostly Polish) condiments, frozen foods, packaged mixes, meats, cheeses, and even magazines!
They often look like they're closed due to the long window shade, but don't hesitate! Nickels is a real treasure!Listed in: Best of The North Shore

A small bakery along Lonsdale with a large selection of baked goods - super reasonable (~40 cents/mini treat). These treats are fresh and flaky, and work well with tea or coffee.
No labels on assortment. Similar to: Laleh Bakery
