I love their pizza. I'm just bummed out that they can't deliver a pizza to save their souls. I usually order thepizza an hour before i want it.
Today i called after an hour and was about to offer to come pick it up myself when she said "its coming out of the over RIGHT NOW."
Well, she was lying. I live one block from the place. When it comes out of the oven, i usually need 15 minutes before i can eat it just to let it cool. It showed up ice cold.
I totally understand delivery guys wanting to deliver three or four pizzas at a time. its effective. But don't lie to me. im not a moron and i'd rather get the truth, even when its a little bit less than ideal, than get a lie thats just trying to appease a customer.

Light, tasty pizza with high-quality, if sometimes scant, toppings.
However, the fatty in me (the one who's usually calling the shots when I seek out pizza) was unsatisfied after I tucked into a 16" with my roommate. We sheepishly glanced at each other across the empty platter, embarrassed to say what was on each of our minds, "I'm still hungry".
Maybe I don't expect enough of pizza. I blame it on all of the $5 pies consumed late night in college or my upbringing in the land of deep dish. Nice is by no means drunk food, get that straight. I shudder to think of what would have happened in my college days had we tried to quell our intoxication with this airy pizza.
That said, if you come here expecting light fare, you won't be disappointed. Plus, they always seem to be offering the $10 for $20 on groupon now. So you won't have to break the bank to leave with a full stomach (spoken like a true dough girl). -

Seriously? NICE pizza? This was probably the biggest waste of $20 I have ever spent. The pizza crust was literally an air-filled cracker, and each slice had the most meager piece of meat on it.. right in the middle of the slice theres a teensy piece of meat and ONE mushroom slice. one. One slice of proscuitto and 1 small mushroom went into this $20 pizza. I am staring at the box of cracker crumble and meager toppings... and I am slightly appalled and very disappointed. Don't waste your money! Saraghina is actually cheaper and WAY worth the hike...

The paper thin pizza is delicious and flavorful - like pizza you would expect to find in NY. The only thing is, there are hardly any toppings - but i don't mind that (quality over quantity any day). But literally there was 1 mushroom 1 leek and 1 onion on my slice of veggie pizza. But because it is downstairs and oh so authentic, I will definitely go back and eat more Nice Pizza ;)

The pizza was delicious! I could eat an entire 12" pie by myself though, it' wasn't very filling. Service was decent, wasn't packed.

When I opened the pizza box I immediately frowned and thought, "Not so Nice. Not so Nice at all." We ordered delivery via Seamless and when the pizza arrived we had to pop it in the oven to heat it back up. What? Do I look like Dom DeMarco? I could live with the thin crust that ended up breaking apart everywhere, but I can't handle the minimal amount of toppings. I envisioned someone hovering over the pizza makers shoulders counting how many pieces of meat and veggies go on each slice (approximately one each). Not so Nice at all.

Brooklyn, NY
This is NOT New York style pizza. It is not Brooklyn pizza. It is, as the writing on the window indicates, French Niçoise pizza (and sandwiches and salads). So before you go, adjust your expectations, because it is DELICIOUS.
The crust is very very thin, as others have said, which we thought was a delicious change from what we're all accustomed to. Crunchy around the edges, and sturdy enough to support all of the cheese and toppings. Toppings to choose from are interesting and ours were very tasty. I also thought they were plenty generous -- our Mozza-Proscuitto pie had whole slices of tomato and prosciutto on each slice of pizza. The marguerite was one of the best cheese pizzas I've ever had, with a dribble of pesto and delicious seasonings (oregano, I think? Herbes de Provence?)
The essential 'topping' at Nice, though, is the traditional bottle of chili oil (any pizza place I've ever been to in France does this, and it's awesome). So do not ignore that bottle on the table! In addition to hot peppers I believe there was garlic and tarragon in the bottle. It's amazing and really takes the pizza to the next level.
The goat cheese salad was really tasty, with really fresh greens and delicious dressing. Wine is cheep and good (try the owner-recommended Côtes du Rhone). Ambiance is definitely pizzeria-casual, and the service is casual as well. We were the only people when we arrived around 9pm, but the place got busier a little later. Owners were basically hanging out with friends at the bar watching the Knicks game, but plenty attentive and friendly, especially when more people arrived.
All in all, this is a GREAT spot and I'm really happy to have found it within 3 blocks of my apartment! We saw a lot of orders going out for delivery, but based on other reviews it sounds like our dining-in experience was significantly better than delivery. -

Bought a Groupon Now deal ($20 for $10), and got a 16" pizza for a steal. First time trying a French-style pizza (I had no idea the French even had a kind of pizza?), and it was delicious!! Basically, a French-style pizza has a very very thin, crispy crust, a thin layer of cheese, and just the right amount of topping (mine had a generous piece of prosciutto curled atop each slice). In terms of proportion, eating 1 bloated NY-style pizza is equivalent to eating 3 slices of this really thin pizza, and even then you don't feel grotesquely full. It was all very gourmet and fresh, and on a block of Brooklyn that I had never explored before, but will definitely be exploring from now on.
The only con was that it took 30+ minutes to get the pizza. Also, that no one explained the special bottle of home-made spicy oil on the table, so I wasn't able to try it. I'll definitely be back for more though, this place is THAT good!! -

This is now the only pizza I would eat voluntarily. I've had great pizzas all over the Big Apple, but this one beats them all to hell. I chanced upon Nice Pizza while helping my girl move into her apartment.
We hadn't eaten all day and Nice was just across the street. I walk in, sat on a stool ordered a pie and started watching their TV. A Spanish soap opera was on the tube and damn the language barrier, it was one engaging soap. A beautiful woman and her lover was caught in the act by the husband and right as their eyes widened and mouths gaped... the owner strolls in takes one look at the TV then gives me a funny look and says "Really?". Of course he promptly changed the channel despite my protests. Bastard.
But I forgave him. The beautiful pizza his place produced is worthy enough to exonerate him from even murder. Its perfect. A crispy thin crust only added to the delicious toppings. I almost cried. The sauce, toppings, crust were all perfect. The best part is I don't get that nasty fullness after I gorge on the pies, which means I can try to shove another slice down like a true glutton. -

New York, NY
I'm SO annoyed to give this place 4 stars because the guy on the phone was a boob. But this isn't about douche baggery. This is about pizza, and this pizza was great, comparatively speaking, to anything I've had that delivers.
Someone reviewed that this isn't your normal NY Pizza. I see where he's coming from, but I disagree. The cheese is fresh, if a bit buttery, but that's what makes pizza SO decadent. It had great consistency from crust to topping (pepperoni). I think people's issue is with the crust. Not quite a pie dough, it was closer to a.... I don't know, the edges were flaky, it was very thin, but I am a stickler for thin crust and this one made my night. My Gordon Ramsay is escaping me at the moment. Just order a pizza and here's what you'll get. THIN CRUST, BUTTERY FRESH CHEESE, FRESH, THIN OLD STYLE PEPPERONI, not that crap they use now. AND A SAUCE THAT IS ACCEPTABLE, THOUGH THEY NEED TO PUT MORE ON. -

So I ordered a 12" Margherita with Olives, Spicy Sausage, and Carmelized onions on SeamlessWeb. No problems there. About 25 minutes later, someone calls and says that they're downstairs. I explain that I have a buzzer, and he promptly hangs up. After assuming this means he will USE the buzzer, I realize a few minutes later that this was the wrong assumption.
So I go downstairs, and find him waiting at the door. I open the door and explained that I had informed him that there was a buzzer. He said, "Where?" (It was right next to the door?) I pointed at it and he looked at me strangely.
So I get upstairs and my pizza is almost cold (which really, shouldn't have happened after only sitting a couple minutes downstairs, but still, I wouldn't blame them.) Anyway, the crust is hollow, but also paper thin. It tastes like eating a dried, burnt cracker. There is almost no tomato sauce, and I eat the pizza simply because I'm starving and don't want to waste my money.
I'm definitely not ordering from this place again. -

UPDATE: I've ordered delivery for their salads twice and it is NOT worth the money. Small portions, mainly just lettuce. It seems like the only thing worth ordering here is the pizza... and yes, it's a little costly for what you get.

Tasty! Really nice owner and staff. We tried 5 pies between 9 people--more than plenty to go around, and an excellent way to taste everything. Crispy crust, lightly sauced, just the right amount of toppings and cheese. MmmmMMMM! Try the four cheese, you won't be sad.

Nice pizza indeed ! Im definitely a fan!
The french style pizza with a crisp, super thin crust had amazingly tasty toppings to make it the perfect light pizza! You can just keep eating and eating... Its nice on a summer day/evening when you want to just eat something light and delicious to go with your wine.
The service was good. Quick and friendly. The place itself definitely doesnt do the food justice but hey, thats the beauty of little holes in the wall right??
You can even go on their website and order delivery online! Convenient? Yes. Pricey? A little but not ridiculous for the quality of the food.
The only reason I take one star away (id make it a half if I could) is because the first time I called, I asked to see if a 16" pie was enough for 4 people and it just barely was despite they saying it definitely would be enough. The thin crust makes this pizza disappear much faster than you would think! My boyfriend and I were able to tackle a 16" with extra toppings in about a half hour together.
This is my second time enjoying their pizza and Im definitely going to be back for more!
If you are in the neighborhood, give it a shot! :) -

All these glowing reviews of Nice Pizza seem suspicious. The pizza was good, but NOT great. The Montagnarde was not terribly flavorful, neither the sauce (severe lack of) or the cheese. The goat cheese pizza was also average. The Roquefort salad was tasty though. Also the manager seems to have a rough edge, I don't get a warm and cozy vibe from the place. This is NYC -- there are MANY establishments that serve better pizza. Also, if the place is so wonderful, why were there only 2 tables of customers on a Friday night? I will not be back.

If you like simple light pizza nice is the way to go.
Generous topping, fresh and higher quality than most resturaunts I've been to.
Not overpriced for the quality they serve. Nice has not disappointed me from the first day I encountered it. Also, the main reason I had to give a five star rating was because they never have grease leaking pizza sent to you! The only downside is they are a bit understaffed with delivery guys, so be patient and expect a warm pizza (not hot). But it is worth the wait! -

C'mon out to beautiful BedStuy and see what it's all about.
This pizza, my friends.
This pizza is mostly what it's about. And the coffee across the street. And the bar down the street... but those are different stories for different reviews.
This review, friends, is about some NICE ass pizza and the nice ass owner whose service was above and beyond stellar. Not only did he take the time to have a convo with my friend and I so he could make some appropriately good suggestions, but when we ordered coffee and he was out of it, he ran out to get us a cup. Wow. Uncommonly accommodating.
The crust is super thin & crispy - I'd even go so far as to call it "light" because it's not overly filling and you don't feel as sheepish afterward, as if you had just indulged in a pizzacoma carbfest. Not too heavy on the sauce - I'd call it just right, in fact.
I really enjoyed this pizza, and the cozy atmosphere, too. Very few places get it *this* right. -

Brooklyn, NY
I have only ever had delivery, so I cannot speak to the aesthetic of the restaurant itself.
But let me tell you- THIS is my favorite delivery pizza in the neighborhood. Old school European style with a cracker thin crust and fresh mozzarella + basil + light sauce. Sometimes a little oily on top from the extra virgin olive oil they bake with, but if that type of thing bothers you- then just dab with napkin (and what is pizza without a tiny bit of oil anyway?). The whole thing is so fresh and light! Wow! I can eat a medium pie by myself and feel completely satisfied, not overly bloated. You can taste every component of the pizza (cheese, sauce, thin crust)- nothing competes with each other.
I know that some have had delivery problems in the past, but I must say that Nice is always at my house within the 1/2 hour and usually pipping hot when it gets here.
I completely and totally recommend. -

Nice Pizza is a comfortable spot with a gourmet edge to it. Just the fact that they serve your slice with a small salad and you need a knife and fork to eat your slice makes it special.
I'm not crazy about the thin French style pizza but I don't mind eating it. It's not for everyone but worth a try I definitely have to be in the mood for it because I like thick bread on my pizza.
The atmosphere is very inviting. If you ain't feeling the pizza, stay for wine and conversation. Overall, great place I highly recommend. -

Brooklyn, NY
Based on some of the reviews I read, I wanted to like this place. Really.
Ordered a 16" Margherita with Spicy Sausage. While I waited, the music shifted from the "Gigi" soundtrack to salsa, to AC/DC, to Peter Cetera, which, combined with the staff altering the "mood" lighting BRIGHT, then low, then BRIGHT, then almost a little too dark, was absolutely irritating. The pizza came, it had a few meager tablespoons of ground meat tossed so haphazardly that most slices had a nugget of meat on them, the others (I counted, because there was so very little topping) had maybe 3-5 crumbles. Sausage tasted like breakfast ground, and definitely nowhere near spicy. Pizza itself was okay with the understanding that it was an extremely thin crust, and any more sauce would have made it fall apart. It was also very salty, and kind of meh. The herb oil shit was pretty good, but not spectacular. I also wouldn't necessarily consider this a "French" style anything, it just seemed like a lavosh pizza. Big whoop.
Check came, I put my card on it, and some guy, breezing around the restaurant glad-handing, says "OH we don't take cards, we have an ATM in the corner." Awesome. I reply"OH I looked you up on the internet and it said you took cards." (thanks Yelp!) He continues breezing along without even acknowledging I had spoken to him. Now, no problem with the cash-only thing, except for the inconvenience of being misinformed before arriving and getting stuck with an ATM fee. But I have to ask: what kind of $20-pizza-charging place has a friggin ATM in their joint? I know almost every bar, bodega and laundromat has an ATM in Bed-Stuy, but an upscale-aspiring pizza place?
On the whole, just a big let-down. -

Love this place. Really good pizza. The sauce is great. Super thin crust is French style (so if you want NY style don't order from here!). Servers are a bit breezy (as in, breeze by your table) but nice and always good-humored. I would say laid-back service (but not inattentive!).
When I order for delivery, the pizza always arrives hot despite having almost no volume to retain heat. That impresses me. Nice basil sauce drizzle gives it a tangy flavor, and spicy pepper oil on the side gives it a nice kick.
Again, love. -

Growing up latin meant growing up eating soda crackers from Keebler that came in a big green tin. Slathered in softened butter it was the most soothing snack of my childhood. One day my SO showed me the Nice Pizza menu at home and I wanted every single pie. We went in and when I saw the crust it transported me to those afternoons eating the pillow-y, thin soda crackers. I really love their pies and the spicy oil that you can drizzle on top. The types of pies they serve are unique and it's kind of take it or leave it. I like it and when I'm in the mood for pizza in the afternoon on a Monday I go here. The atmosphere is warm, if a bit empty, but working in the industry means wanting to have no part of the scene on my days off. Be warned.. you may be the only diner before 8 pm. To each their own, this is what I love about Nice, having the place to myself. In terms of recommendations, I can't pick just one. I've tried them all and love just randomly ordering.

Tasty crisp crust, sweet flavorful sauce. Overall excellent food. Service was slow but that's the pace of the place so I won't fault them for that. A bit skimpy on the sausage. Not a euphemism.

Review from Dan T.
It's 3:30 on a Thursday and it's hot as h-e-doublehockeysticks out. What does an Italian-American of sane mind do? Why, go to a French pizza joint in BedStuy, of course.*
As the benchmark of any pizzeria on the first go-around, I went with a regular slice, which comes with silverware (what the?) and THEN a "side salad" (not knocking it given the still-somewhat-competitive price but it's really just 6 or 7 greens that joined the pizza in the oval plate and topped off with an overly creamy bottled dressing). Luckily, this tided me over as I waited to bite in to my very-thin slice, one with a very mealy bottom that gets all over your hands and clothing and whose crust surpasses cracker-thin and reaches the level of peanut-brittle dry and crackly. With the entire crust portion of my slice lying like casualties in the plate (the ceramic rather than paper should've been a dead giveaway to begin with), the rest of the slice at least stayed in place. I admit the cheese and sauce portion did have a nice unique taste to it, and its thinness was welcome given the temperature outside, but I couldn't locate any toppings and didn't want to make any conversation with the guy watching me behind the counter as I sat at the bar and he on his laptop. Some dude's business cards were scattered across the bar and an espresso machine sat under a crisp TV, so it may be a nice stop-in for a drink or something, but I don't want anything to do with a man who refuses to turn down the music in his establishment when he can't hear his paying customers over his own music. During my stay, I noticed there's a good lane of walking space up to the sign (the menu was as expansive as the long alleyway up to the chalkboard that held it), which is perpendicular to the ole-fashioned register where you give your order, making for an awkward situation.
There's a fine line between clever and cocky/borderline offensive, and the otherwise-playful "We don't serve women, you must bring your own" sign behind the bar would've incited a chuckle had the guy running the place not acted like he was a big shot, gunning down a customer's genuine curiosity about the rise in their slice prices with an attitude ("yeah well cheese went up 40%, buddy" and throwing his change back at him) that will cause me to steer far clear of this place in the future.
*In the same vein, I'm skeptical of pizzerias blasting music in Spanish, employing no Italians, and being called Nice [pronounced "neese"], even given the food culture and the neighborhood; I'm tolerant of almost anything, but I am my grandfather's grandson, after all, and some stuff just don't fly.Listed in: Lemme get a slice

Came here on a Friday afternoon and was the only customer. Used a sweet groupon now deal - $20 for $10! My BF and I ordered the oriental pie- sauce, cheese, red pepper, black olive, spicy sausage, and chorizo. Loved the thin crust, but found the pie to be a little greasy. I definitely want to try a different type of pizza though- the goat cheese one sounds really good.

This is excellent gourmet pie. Sure it isn't the classic brooklyn slice that can leave you a little bloated and regretful after that second slice - this pizza with its cracker thin crust makes the tastebuds dance with delight.
In our house we have had La Reine, L'Oriental, and La Vegetarienne (which is our absolute favorite). We try to order from Nice once a week and we are never disappointed with the quality or the delivery service.
Also you get these little packets of amazing olive oil that brings out all the amazing flavors of the pizza.

Let me tell you. This place sells some delicious pizza, like outrageous, eat the entire pie and wake up from a food coma 2 days later covered in grease, laying on top of the pizza box satisfied, confused, but satisfied.
My favorite is the Quatre Fromage, but if I'm just passing buy and want to pick up a slice I'll grab either their Pepperoni or Cheese, both are amazing. What makes them all even better is the green, parsley-basil oil that they drizzle on top.

We were in the mood for pizza and thought we'd give the new place down the street a try.
40 minutes after we ordered our 12' pie it arrived cold (mind you, this place is two blocks down the street) with a bill of $19. I wait outside in my bare feet for five minutes while the delivery guy tries to figure out how much it SHOULD cost over the phone.
How did it taste? The WORST pizza I've ever eaten (mind you, I grew up in new york) - have you ever eaten something that tasted like water? Thin, flavorless, un-crunchy dough.
I'm shying away from the 'French' pizza and sticking to Italian.

The name definitely fits!
Ive been watching this place being put together over the past couple months and getting excited to have another restaurant in the neighborhood. Its located right next door to Bistro Lafayette.
I noticed the other night on my way home from work that they were finally open. I stopped in for a slice, but saw they were cleaning up. My friend asked if they were still serving and the guy behind the counter said they did still have two hot pies they were putting away. I ordered one slice of the eggplant pizza, it was huge! When I went to pay the guy at the register said it was on the house.
The pizza was pretty good, thin crust and cooked to perfection. The eggplant was a nice touch. They could go a little lighter on the seasoning, but other than that I enjoyed it. I am hoping they make a white pizza, if so that will be the next one I try.
The guys kept stopping by the table and asking how it was. Everyone was really friendly. They even made me a togo box with a another eggplant slice and a pepperoni slice.
The decor of the place is simple. There was plenty of space, so no need to feel cramped.
All my fellow Bedstuy/Clinton Hill neighbors should stop by and give it a try! -

Fom the moment I took a bite of Nice Pizza's heavenly, golden thin crusted pizza topped with rich goat cheese and artichokes, I was hooked. The pizza here is incredible, delicious, and most importantly, *authentic*. I haven't had pizza this good since I moved back to New York from Italy, and if *that's* not enough reason to go, it's byob!
NP is a great place to go for both those late nights or early lunches (and, they deliver!) The restaurant is incredibly charming and inviting with its warm lighting, cool decor, and upbeat music. The service is super friendly and hospitable, and every time we visit we are treated like family.
This is one of my new favorite spots in Brooklyn-exceptional food, great people, and a nice environment-what's not to love? -

While every other new pizza joint in the city tries desperately to recapture the famous NY slice formula pioneered and mastered by only a handful of older establishments, Nice Pizza brings something new to the incredible NYC pizza pantheon. I have yet to find pies like this anywhere in New York. This is real Mediterranean pizza. The thin crust and fresh ingredients make for one of the most deliciously unique pies I've ever had. I would travel from Manhattan to Brooklyn for this, and that's saying a LOT. Just BYOB...or stop into the deli next door for a 20oz of your favorite brew.

Just noticed this place was open yesterday and stopped in this afternoon. I tried two slices of the tomato/cheese/peppers/artichoke/eggplant pizza, which seemed to be all that was available aside from a sausage pizza.

I just moved to this area and so far this has been my favorite pizza place. First off- no it is not "NY style" pizza. But folks, please do not go as far as saying it's "not Italian". Have you eaten pizza in Italy? Guess what, the crust is crispy. I like it. I also like the more complex flavor. If you want a good, fold-able NY slice, go to Roccos. La la la.
