We took a late day horseback ride along the escarpment for about an hour on Thanksgiving weekend and it was amazing. You can book online ahead of time or call if it's only a few days in advance. For $40 you will get a fantastic experience of riding on a wooded trail up and down the Niagara escarpment.
The horses are very well kept and extremely well trained. I was paired with Piper, who's a tank of a horse. Fallen trees, boulders, mud, creeks, he just went through it all. He was very easy to ride.
At the end we even got to trot the horses for a bit :)
I would recommend this to anyone. -

We made an impromptu visit, but it is best to call and reserve a time. The groups are kept small and it is a very lovely ride into the woods. We have rarely ridden horses and it was a bit challenging because the horses are independently following a trail into the niagara escarpment through the forest. We went in the early evening and the forest was beautiful. As there was only one person in our group that had ridden, it took a while to get everyone mounted - steps were available to assist in mounting. We rode for about an hour. Riding helmets were provided. The horses were very well cared for and amenable to the riders. Memorable experience that I would recommend to others.
