Niagara Lodge & Suites earns a solid 1.5 stars in my book. Unfortunately that's not an option on Yelp, so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and rounding up.
Having paid $60 for one night in a hotel in a tourist trap like Niagara, I wasn't expecting much, and so was pleased to have a relatively quiet room with functioning TV, AC, and plumbing. The room wasn't the cleanest, and the staff were basically non-existent. We didn't bother checking out the continental breakfast, but reviews elsewhere made it seem like it was mostly cereal and bad coffee. The indoor and outdoor pools were full of kids whenever we went by. The hotel is located a couple of miles from tourist central, so we had to deal with driving and parking whenever we went anywhere.
I booked our reservation nearly two months in advance which turned out to be a good thing as the going rate if you booked last week for the weekend was more like $160. If I'd paid $160 for the Niagara Lodge & Suites, I would've been furious, and probably would've written one of the horrendously negative reviews as you'll find on Hotels .com or Trip Advisor. I feel like we got our money's worth for $60.
