This is the place to go for games. They keep all the rare hard to find games in stock and they have the best selection of the new ones.

If you're trading in games, FORGET going anywhere else. Any of the major game chains/rental locations will rip you off as much as they possibly can manage - here you can expect fair returns.

Awesome stores, awesome selection of new and used and overall just a great experience. The guys behind the counter really know their stuff. This location is about 5 blocks east of NAIT. There's also a location on the west end about 10 blocks east of West Ed, but I believe this 118 Ave location is the flagship location.

Not all Nintendo games are created equal; it was for this very reason that b and I wandered into Nexwave clutching a handful of unexciting NES titles that were apparently so notoriously boring, every Super Flea dealer refused to take them in trade.

Nexwave couldn't offer us much, but at least they offered something - $10, which was enough to pick out one game from their gigantic selection of original Nintendo cartridges. I was really impressed by their pricing - lots of the games they had out were considerably less expensive than their Flea counterparts, and even the pricier titles behind the counter - Rampage, Mega Man, etc. - were completely reasonable.

Along with original Nintendo, these guys carry SNES and Game Boy, as well as games for newer systems that I remain completely ignorant of. The hardware is there as well, including some of the weirder Nintendo products like the wireless 4-player adaptor.

For selection and, most importantly, price, Nexwave earns two Nintendo-playing thumbs up.

Nexwave is a pretty awesome video game store.

Yes, they carry all the new games that are hot on the market  but the reason this store is cool is because they carry plenty of older games as well. When I say old I am talking about games for Nintendo from about 20 years ago.

They also buy games and do trades, and unlike other places they don't rip you off. You get a pretty fair deal.

I used to live near this, the first, location of Nexwave. I remember when it opened. At the time I still had an old Sega Genesis and a first generation Game Boy. It was great because I could still buy games for my ancient gaming systems and it was cheap - around $5 each. They buy, trade and sell games so they get different stuff in all the time. They carry games for almost any platform. Seriously, even Atari and Intelevision if you're old enough to remember what they are (like me). Sometimes they even get the hardware for them because people clear out their attics or whatever.
