I LOVE living just off the Boardwalk.  It is so relaxing and refreshing to walk here with my dog.  I start at one end and walk to the Doggie Park on the other and once Puck has had his fill of the Doggie Park, we walk home.  The view of Fraser River is serene and the flowers lining the Boardwalk just make it more beautiful.  There is also a brick path on which you can rollerblade or bike on.  A little bit of everything and always doggies to meet.

A very lovely boardwalk which reminds me of a mini version of what you'll find in Altantic City, New Jersey. However, you won't find flashy Casinos and white sand beaches.

The boardwalk at New Westminster Quay is rarely crowded with people, there are many benches for people watching, river watching, snacking, or reading a book. It's situated on the mighty Fraser River and you'll get an awesome breeze on a warm sunny day.

Yep, I agree that the waterfront boardwalk is pretty ... pretty. There's lots of room for all kinds of ambling, bike riding, and just strolling and looking out at the scenery. I've come to love this working river, with a little bit of nature mixed in. I don't really recommend the boardwalk for rollerblading, as the brick path has these concrete "bumps" in it, and if you were to rollerblade on the actual boardwalk section by the Quay... ouch.

I love it as a bike path. It is a great place to walk a dog, as many people do - just not my particular dog, big crazy (but lovable, at least to me) dog that she is! I do have a lot of fun petting other people's little dogs when I'm out riding, though.

I can't wait until the renos of the Quay itself (aka River Market) are complete!
