Review from Mehul P.

Thana is well-stocked. All the basics: bulk grains, bulk spices, every kind of flour. It beats Hartman's on price for almost everything (except garlic), ties with Grace; I shop at both.
Drawbacks: It has some--but not the vast array I was expecting--boxed meals and spices (spice blends like massala are significantly different depending on the brand). The frozen food selection is sorry; I'm used to a large selection of prepared meals, rotis, and batters. The veggies in the back are priced about the same as Grace on Bank Street, but you're better off going to Grace for fresher selection. Some of their other items look stale/dangerous (minced garlic).
Things they don't have: kokum, a good selection of mukwas, bootleg DVDs.
