Great neighbourhood gathering spot. Really decent food and cold beer. Enjoy the patio on the rooftop in the summer with friends.

The New Edinburgh Pub is a great place to gather with friends to have some drinks and watch a game if you are into sports.  I went here with my sister and her boyfriend for wing night.

We started out with a pitcher and some sangria.  There are lots of different beers on tap.  The sangria is made to order, not just out of a box.

The wings were very good and the waitress didn't mind that we made a complicated order with a few of several different kinds and some without sauce.

If you go in the summer, sit on the rooftop patio for a great view of the river!

There is not other bar around the New Edinburgh area that is open late, so this is the place to go.  There is often live bands and there is a different special each night of the week.  The service is very friendly and the atmosphere is very neighbourhood-like!

New Edinburgh should be better, and tries to be really unique; the problem is it tries too hard.

The look and feel of the pub is definitely not of your typical pub, the colours, configuration and setup is different. At first you think, 'ok, this is different, let's see how this is!'. Unfortunately somewhere along the line of trying something different, the point of a bar/pub experience is gone. By trying too hard to be different, New Edinburgh ceases to be relaxing, unpretentious and friendly; the very essence of a great place to have a few pints.

The food is actually decent, but the quality of drinks is lacking. The servers are ok, but too proper for a bar. If you're looking for a typical experience at a pub, try something else.
