Founded in 1978 by a Croatian couple, this is a very inviting place that gives a sense of comforting family hospitality.
Filling foods from Eastern-Europe in general and Croatia in particular will be found on the menu, with cabbage rolls, port and veal dishes the most common.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, going out of their way to suggest items and give details on uncertain items. Owner Anna Bota personally suggested the Carbabice and cabbage rolls. Lobster and non-European dishes are also available.
What's great about New Dubrovnik is that it offers not only good tasting food, but its healthy too. The food is lean and cooked in olive oil, and the main dishes are cooked on the grill, imparting flavour but taking away the fat.
Located close to the downtown core, this is a place everyone should check out.
