I recently had a chance to check out yet another of B-town's many pizzerias which have opened up in the last year or 2, New City Pizza. I'd never heard of them before, but they already have 5 locations in the GTA.
My plan was originally pick up a slice, but the big sign on the window just couldn't be ignored: $4.95 Medium pizza. A medium pizza for around the same price as a slice at Pizza Pizza? Yoink!
The inside of the place was very presentable. While deader than disco at that time (granted, it was 11pm), the tables were all clean, and there are plenty of tables to accommodate those dining-in at busy times.
The menu is standard pizza place fare: Pizza, garlic bread, chicken wings, and potato wedges, and all of your standard pizza toppings are available.
As for the pizza itself...not bad at all. It reminded me a lot of Dominoes, nice and cheesy, with a very thin crust. and tastier than the price would have you believe.
Definitely not the best pizza I've had, but certainly the cheapest, and no slouch in the flavour department either.
And hey, this is the first time I ever got to watch India's Got Talent on television while waiting for my pie. So there's that.Listed in: B-Town!, 30-Day Yelp Challenge
