Review from Ian B.
Fort Erie, ON
After reading the other review and reply to my own, I decided to take a closer look at what I was being charged at this store, vs what I "should" be getting charged. I would like to say that the other comments made are 100% accurate, and I was not being vigilant regarding pricing.
Promotional giveaway rules are changed on the whim of the owner for dubious circumstances, and I am now a happy customer of "Mostly Comics" in St.Catharines... a HUGE change for the better!
As "Cathy" attempts to point out above me, yes this costs me more in gasoline for the trip but Neutral Zone is so overpriced that I still end up paying less for the same amount of books that are actually bagged and boarded, not bent and water damaged. If you're inclined to agree with her about the gas money though, check out Pulp Comics on Queen st. instead.
Albert! Great to see you join the conversation, but perhaps you should read a post before throwing a temper tantrum about it. Not once did I personally attack the owner, my comments were strictly about the business. Cathy mentioned that I was not to be trusted because I shop in a different town, and I stated that if other readers agree THEY should check out Pulp. There are people on here making personal attacks, sure...but I am not one of them, and I am not going to lower myself to joining in a mud slinging contest. This site is made for people to give honest reviews, and I have done so...and have changed said reviews when my mind has been changed. Having a hissy fit is not going to change my mind, and only strengthen my current opinion. That said, there is a lot of room for improvement at the Neutral Zone, and hopefully the owner is able to implement some better business practices in the future. So Albert and Cathy if you truly love your Neutral Zone (as I once did) try to add some constructive points to help, barring that keep the tears to yourself.
P.S. The next account that springs up to stir the pot etc, should google "Logical Fallacies". They are pitfalls one should not succumb to when making an argument as it severely weakens it...for instance (from wikipedia) Ad hominem - attacking the arguer instead of the argument.. This is just one of HUNDREDS, and eliminating them from your posts will help you get your point across much more effectively. I'm not being condescending here, just honestly trying to help your cause.Listed in: Comic Book Shops

Not a fan. This place is messy and the owner acts like a scam artist.
Much prefer Pulp Comics on Queen Street. -

Can I give it no stars? I'd really like to! I hadn't been in the Neutral Zone for a couple of years, and I didn't think it was possible but it got worse! The store is FILTHY, the guy behind the counter [who wasn't the owner] looked a homeless guy who walked in off the street. It's impossible to walk through without stepping on something. Everything is ridiculously overpriced, usually about double what you'd pay in a self-respecting comic shop. The owner doesn't really know anything about comics and will try to sell you anything and everything. "Sales" are never really sales, he makes up the price. I will definitely not be going back.
