Fresh, exquisite quality, delicious food!
I love the food at the cafe, especially the tofu and avocado salad. It is always fresh, the tofu is marinated to perfection and goes so well with the avocado, the dressing is light and flavorful and rounds off this dish perfectly. The pizza is awesome. The sweets are great too. The prices are very reasonable for the quality of food you are getting, and the service is friendly.
The catering food is absolutely amazing!!! I have had the opportunity to enjoy it on several occasions and it has always been fresh and delicious. From Hors d'œuvre to deserts everything was flavorful and not at all dull (which is kind of what I expect from kosher food). -

A great place for a bowl of made from scratch soup, or lox on bagel.
Here is the best salmon filet done kosher teryaki style, and under $10! Daily salads are crisp and fresh. The mac'n'cheese is homemade, great comfort food and a favorite of the regulars.
All of the food is high quality - the desserts are yummy and habit-forming!
Morning muffins are large and tasty, and coffee is fresh and hot. A good selection of meringues are usually available. This is a dairy cafe, so meat is not served here.
A good spot for celebrity sighting - yes, authors, playwrights, musicians and actors who are performing at the Norman Rothstein Theatre are often here on their breaks.
Located on the main floor of the Jewish Community Centre, Nava is busy at lunch time with students from the local school and folks munching after a morning of exercise or meetings. High chairs available for the little ones.

What is Kosher?
Nava Cafe and Catering is BC Kosher certified. Kosher has its origins from the Bible, and today refers to the methods by which all food and food products are prepared. The most common kosher laws include the prohibition of eating certain animals (pork, shellfish, certain fowl) and the separation of meat and milk.
Meet the Business Owner: Susy S.
Susy Siegel, Owner
Originally from Mexico City, Susy studied nursing in Israel and Pittsburgh, taught at Hebrew School in Victoria and eventually moved to Vancouver. She started Susy Siegel Catering Services in 1990 and acquired Nava in October 1999
